I cannot believe how stoked I just got when I seen the thumbnail!!!!! Bro. In 2008 there was a horrible Flood in Wastseka Illinois where I lived. The entire town was fucked had to boat to get around not normal. Long story short I had my mom dad plus my grandpa great grandma great aunt cousin and mind you these guys it's a war if there in the same room ever. I ordered this book along with nemesis and underworld I believe. I locked myself in the downstairs bathroom/closet and hid behind a shit load of coats and stuff that was hanging up and no one could find me. I read the entire book from page one to the end without stopping eating I couldn't put the book down seriously will forever be one of the best books I've ever read I was bummed when it was over. I want to say thank you guys for this upload I just felt a vibe I haven't felt since 08 😅🙌🏻💯💯💯💯😬😬😬😬😬😬😬🙏🏻💜
I read all the SD Perry novels. Even if they weren’t canon to the games, they were really good. And I love them. I wish SD Perry wrote more but I love them nonetheless.
@@rmz4life578 Please do not forget that there are 2 more novels, but I guess they were not released in the US, only Japan and Germany (where I live). One is called "Rose Blank" and the other is called "to the Liberty". They were both written by Japanese authors and were published because they won a competition that Capcom held in the early 2000s. I cannot recommend them, they are both Garbage. The authors seem to have only a very vague grasp on what RE is, the writing also comes off as weird because they translated Japanese to German, which works for mangas, but not novels.
@@zufallrap there was another one to the graphic comic or whatever of the first game to. It is crazy how many things cannon or not we didn’t get to see in the states or easily anyway

Thanks. This was perfect to listen to while I drew my zombie comic book. I remember when I found out these existed back in 98'. I bought all of them and it was my first novel collection! I was a big RE fan then and still am today. Perry really did a fantastic job with these. She's a great writer.
I'm almost 3 hours in. I have these books and have enjoyed them over the years. Now, to have this narration is very nice. Makes processing paperwork a little less dull. Thanks, ROE team, for the awesome content.
What a pleasant surprise to see this pop up! After recently discovering the first two audio books on the channel and listening, I tried looking for another channel to listen to City of the Dead. It just wasn't the same without Beggy though.
These novels were everything i could want when i was in middle school. I have cat fond memories of cozying up in bed on Friday night and reading City Of The Dead. Love it to pieces
Differences from the game I noticed: 1. Most of the RPD is already unlocked thanks to Ada, allowing Leon and Claire to progress faster. 2. Leon follows Leon A except for the train, where it swaps to Leon B. 3. Claire follows Claire B but skips the train portion. 4. Claire never fights Birkin in his more humanoid form. Instead we get the G-Adult fight from Leon A in the same location. 5. Leon starts with the upgraded magnum and gets tons of ammo for it. He's playing on game genie mode. 6. Claire is played is playing in professional mode. She only gets two pistols throughout the whole story. 7. Can't recall an encounter with the ivies, but I might have missed it. 8. Can't recall that anyone encountered upgraded lickers. 9. Leon lucked out by not finishing the Birkin fight at the elevator. 10. Claire uses a fire extinguisher to douse the helicopter rather than the water tank. 11. C4 is not used to clear rubble to Irons' office.
This was a good listen! BeggyBeggBegg's narration could give Suzi a run for her money with her soothing V/O, and the editing with the BGM and SE heightened the experience. Great job ROE!
Still have my SD Perry novels! In this one, especially loved her internal dialog for Sherry - really rounded out her character motivations when we get her perspective and how as a child, she wants to be protected by her parents (who are emotionally neglectful) but instead forges a big sister friendship with Claire in this desperate situation.
I read this book over a decade ago and thought back then that it was better than the game itself. Audiobooks are a blessing because of the amount of content that's available to people who don't have the time to read, or even those who can't read with imagination connected.
I love that the actual sound effects from the game were used. Top Tier narrating and exceptional listening experience. While Ive read all the SD Perry novels, listening to one of my favorite books while working the nightshift hits different! Thank you!!!
Your team should absolutely, definitely keep going. Underworld would be next up and is a fantastic original RE story with a bunch of familiar and some new characters and a bunch of monsters. Or you could do Nemesis before Underworld. The novelization version of RE 3 is just as awesome.
I recently been playing all the resident evil games. Just finishing playing the OG directors cut version. I remember when i was a kid my dad bought the original game for me and my brothers. Its funny because i couldn't manage to play more than 20 mins in Terrified i was 😂. Now listening to this lady tell the story its all coming back to me. Been traveling on the road for hours listening to these amazing audio books. I become obsessed like a blood thirsty zombie in a transfixed on your voice. i could listen to you all day Beggy❤❤😵💫😵💫🫠🫠
I love these books so much but never get a chance to read them because I'm on the road (driving) all the time so getting to listen to them is a real treat! I bought this book series when it first came out and thought I had lost them when I moved so I bought it again. I found my original set so now I have doubles!
The prologue is terrifying for me because the news articles sound just like any normal major city’s headlines unfortunately after seeing how people addicted to drugs act this sounded so similar
What a fantastic voice, great reading. Only criticism I have is the weird echo-y effects for internal thoughts. Not a fan, but definitely not badly done. Just never liked that kind of effect in an audiobook setting. But aside for that nitpick, great job!
That red haired guy with the knife, what was that about? Was this an adaptation or was it added in? Perhaps it was in a memo book throughout the game, but I don't recall it. I must say this is amazing. I love the first book also. Spencer Mansion played vividly in my mind, but this is just incredible. The narrator's voice is amazing. Kudos
