what a great tribute to a great band, back in the days they where mocked for not being a "real reggae" band yet they covered some of the greatest artist of reggae.and the did them justice! :) fathers of reggae is a great album.
I perform in a UB40 tribute band here in the UK called UB42. At times we are very privileged to have the actual UB40 horn section come and join us for a play. However, as with most UB40 songs, after the signing off album, this and many others after are covers that were originally produced by original artists. To be fair to them, they actually shared their royalties with those original artists in question, where as before the Jamaican record labels had ripped them off! ... Kingston Town was originally by The Lord Creator in 1970
I absolutely love UB40, some of my favourites are Kingston Town and Impossible Love but there's just so many great ones, Crying time, Homely Girl, Getting over the storm
So many great tracks, you can't go wrong with any of them. My ultimate favourite is Where did I Go Wrong, other family members are Higher Ground, Many Rivers to Cross, 1 in 10, Don't Break My Heart, Grooving, Here I Am, Bring Me Your Cup.... And so So many more.
Their best song? That's very debatable. They had tons of hits: - Sing Our Own Song (the full 7 minute song) - I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (with Robert Palmer) - Where Did I Go Wrong - If It Happens Again - Rat In Mi Kitchen - Maybe Tomorrow - Here I Am Baby - Come Out To Play - I Got You Babe (with Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders) - Reckless (with Afrika Bambaataa) - Homely Girl - Many Rivers To Cross - Cherry Oh Baby
Would love to see you react to some reggae that was popular in the UK from around the time. Things like Sugar Minott - Good Thing Going , Janet Kay - Silly Games, Night Nurse - Gregory Isaacs, You Don't Love Me - Dawn Penn - Greetings - Half Pint. And groups like Aswad and Steel Pulse. I've a feeling you'd like them.

@@heathcornbeef You have truly been blessed, my friend! So many amazing experiences..I was so sad to hear about Toots. He was performing regularly right up until his illness got the better of him. I think it was covid... Such a loving man, it kind of makes sense that he would be exposed. Some of the best music in the world, though!

this song was my mums favorite, when she passed i shed no tears out of anger, but time passes, hearing it now, this old man can finally say goodbye, love you mum
UB40 Have so many great tracks and albums probably one of the best bands to come out of Britain at that time.
💖💕💝🌹🎶🥲👏🏽🇦🇺Love this song took me right back down memory lane! Very natural reaction thank you 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
what a great tribute to a great band, back in the days they where mocked for not being a "real reggae" band
yet they covered some of the greatest artist of reggae.and the did them justice! :)
fathers of reggae is a great album.
Love your Queen shirt 🤗my favorite songs from UB40 🇯🇲
I perform in a UB40 tribute band here in the UK called UB42. At times we are very privileged to have the actual UB40 horn section come and join us for a play. However, as with most UB40 songs, after the signing off album, this and many others after are covers that were originally produced by original artists. To be fair to them, they actually shared their royalties with those original artists in question, where as before the Jamaican record labels had ripped them off! ... Kingston Town was originally by The Lord Creator in 1970
This song gives a smile on your face,...pure
I absolutely love UB40, some of my favourites are Kingston Town and Impossible Love but there's just so many great ones, Crying time, Homely Girl, Getting over the storm
My sister loves UB40. Has several records and albums.

R.I.P Eddie Van Halen a legendary guitarist and performer. UB 40 rocks!
Great song!! On a somewhat related notes, you gotta check out “The Israelites” by Desmond Dekker!
Fantastic song. Anything on Trojan records is great.
Can wait for Jovaughan to hear that one
I preferred 'It miek', by DD
An early Monster of the genre
That's a belter
O wow wow I love that song,it's so beautiful I love how you react to musick with so much emotion ,love to watch you, your a real man bless !!!!
Their best song? That's very debatable. They had tons of hits:
- Sing Our Own Song (the full 7 minute song)
- I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (with Robert Palmer)
- Where Did I Go Wrong
- If It Happens Again
- Rat In Mi Kitchen
- Maybe Tomorrow
- Here I Am Baby
- Come Out To Play
- I Got You Babe (with Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders)
- Reckless (with Afrika Bambaataa)
- Homely Girl
- Many Rivers To Cross
- Cherry Oh Baby
I'll be your baby tonight was always one of my favourites.
@@potaka79 Yes, it's great. And I don't see it mentioned very often. It seems to be somewhat forgotten.
You forgot to include the song Watchdogs.
Johnny Too Bad 🔥
Would love to see you react to some reggae that was popular in the UK from around the time. Things like Sugar Minott - Good Thing Going , Janet Kay - Silly Games, Night Nurse - Gregory Isaacs, You Don't Love Me - Dawn Penn - Greetings - Half Pint. And groups like Aswad and Steel Pulse. I've a feeling you'd like them.
