Henry Cole is a very interesting character, and he has definitely brought more great advertising for motorcycling in the UK than anyone else has ever done. We especially need that now more than ever with all the motorcycle licence legislation for younger riders, not to mention astronomical insurance costs. So as a lifetime biker myself, I would like to thank him for that, and keep up the good work.
Absolutely brilliant…I remember seeing Henry Cole through a door window at the Motorcycle Show NEC Birmingham. When he came out of the private area I said hello & he was the exact same person as you see on TV. What an amazing individual who gives everyone the time of Day. I remember taking a selfie with him & my hands were shaking so much the pic was fuzzy as hell.. He just laughed until we got a good one! 👊 love him to bits.
As a 71 year old biker who's been riding all types of motorcycles since 1968 there is always another motorcycle you fancy or are looking at.Happy new year.
I am very late to the Henry Cole party but I think he is absolutely superb. Find it, Fix it, Flog it is an absolute pleasure, mainly down to Henry. More Henry please!
Met Henry Allen steve and skid.at London bike show.fantastic guys.henry was just great.always wanted to meet him. Absolute legend.so respectful and great to talk to.steve is a legend as was the barry who I met many years ago.
My first experience with m/cycles was at the age of 5 when my dad used to take me to school and back on the back of his BSA (?), in the days before helmets. I used to work for a m/c training scheme in the Midlands. Toured southern Ireland on honeymoon on a BMW K100RS. I don't drive or ride bikes but I love watching Henry's programmes. Top bloke as they say. An honest, tea swilling, bearded chap!
I can't believe the interview ended before finding out who won the raffle......!😉 A lovely bit of light entertainment intermixed with some refreshingly frank admissions of the darker parts of your past . Keep it up Henry! I never get tired of seeing your passion for motorcycles and your friendships with Sam, Milli and Skid etc Will buy you a cup of scorch if I ever bump into you....
Absolutely fantastic. Henry's undersells himself a bit on TV with his slightly buffoonish "persona". He seems like a really genuine, humble character with a thousand stories to tell. I've always watched his stuff (except find it fix it, fk it, that's for old folk) and will have a completely different view of him in the future. All of us old bikers with an unexplainable addiction of our own are indebted to him for bringing out hobby to the eyes of the general public. Thanks mate.
Brilliant. I read Motorcycle News & Bike magazine religiously while lusting after a bike. My first one, a Honda 250, I bought brand new and learned to ride it in the car park behind the dealer's shop. The bike scene in the 70s and early 80s was exactly as Henry described it. You can't help but like him, he's a star, even if you'd want to slap him at times. He's obviously an obsessive, a bit like a posh version of Mike Brewer! Note to Brooklands: have you had Mark Williams in for one of your interviews? He founded Bike Magazine and has had quite a life. Would make a great guest if he's prepared to do it.
Really entertaining. Always liked Henry in his various shows (even his dog sh*t movie that he directed, saw a clip didn’t seem that bad). Thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his life and passions.
Maybe it says something about me, but the language sounded just like an everyday pub conversation…Anyway, really enjoyable, HC has some interesting tales to tell 😁👍🏻
Thanks to Henry he has put motorcycles on the map. People have got exposure to bikes. Henry often comes up in conversation on pub bike nights. Like him or loathe he is now a household name. Personally I think he's great. I've been bikeing 51 years yet henry has boosted my enthusiasm. One day I'd like to meet Henry. Great guy.
Are you kidding? He is so toff related to GLADSTONE, Hence the name of his business. Detest fakery, his accent ( mockney) is committed making, his knowledge, mediocre at best. Total smoke& mirrors.
Henry has packed two life times of experience into his life....never knew he went out with the lovely Paula...lucky bugger. However he picked the right (long suffering) girl in the end!! Very entertaining.
Met Henry at tha National Motorcycle Museum in October last year (yes, 2022 is last year now 😮😛😝) He was great but he is a bit like a butterfly, he was supposed to be meeting me and my mate (among lots of others) but he saw someone further back in the queue and bolted right after signing our posters 😂 Poor old Skid had to fetch him back. Sam Lovegrove and Allen Millyard were also there . Plus Steve Parish gave us a nod and a wink as he went past us. All great lads with stories to tell that you could listen to for hours. Happy new year to all.😊
Quite enjoyable interview, I didn't know much about his past other than what's been mentioned on his TV programs and I can't get my head round why some motorcyclist dislike him, maybe they should watch this but I bet they won't remove those blinkers? As for Steve Parish? Well I've heard the name and can even recognise him but I know absolutely nothing about him other than he raced bikes, maybe Henry should interview him?
Total legends both of the I think they should have they're own tt show Henry would love that especially the classic tt role on another motor cycle show infact Steve parish going off with Henry bring it on chaps. 👏👏👏👏
You've got to love Henry, he's a great tv personality and easy to watch where there's a script of some sort, but blimey is he hard work without one, this "interview" is testament to that. I don't know who's the more difficult to watch unscripted, him or Robin Williams [God rest soul] who was also a complete loose cannon during interviews, but both eccentric genius' without a doubt! . . .
I owned in the later 70s steve parrish suzuki GT750 kettle.. this bike along with barry sheens was given to them by Suzuki as road bikes for own there use..barrys was black and my one.. steves was red..great bike.. wish i owned it today
Love it henry, Don't forget Henry goes inside the Atom, down in Somerset. The maker of the craziest car in the world ever, a 2.6 V8 using 2 Hyabusa engines
Good grief, reading the comments you people must have led such boring lives to be so impressed. No offence to Henry Cole but you do realise privilege gets you a long way. Seriously, you guys don't have stories at least as entertaining as Henry's you need to get out more.
Brilliant guy’s and Henry I watch your program and love it , well done on staying clean I’m 24 years clean myself so respect ✊ dude this was great to watch
You can always tell a man who has been educated properly by the way he speaks, your parents got their monies worth with you Henry, Love everything you do for us on bikes, come back to N.Z. some day, the roads are a litle rough at the minute.
I have a honda melody the reason I can't ride a motorcycle because I never got a license didn't go to the trouble even though years ago I went to work on a matchless 250 that leaked oil from the rocker cover sold it got a honda 175 brilliant bike, Trouble is I can only ride 49cc melody even I can drive a bus and 7.5 and its so galling that I can only ride a pop pop what is going on trouble is I'm in my 70s so a bit late to try to pass when you have these restrictions?
I can't 4 the life of me remember his name the show u do with the guy out of Brookside Dean i think 🤔 is his name can you please tell me thanks 😊 🙏 39:16

Brilliant, Love Henry, I could watch and listen to him all day long, 👍👍.
Two legends in their own rights, keep up the brilliant work Henry.
Absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed every minute. Thanks to all involved 🙌
Steve Parrish reminded me of Parky interviewing Billy Connolly, just sit back and enjoy a brilliant raconteur at his very best..loved it
Except he seems dismissive and judgemental of this quest.
what we need is Henry cole doing more shows about motorcycles because he does such a great show.
Just seen him at Hunstanton he is doing a tour of UK, perhaps you can get to one. 😊
Excellent! What a really great interview. I love Henry's candour and openess.
Really enjoyed that, Henry being totally honest about his past. Love his TV shows with the boys.👍👍
As a 71 year old biker who's been riding all types of motorcycles since 1968 there is always another motorcycle you fancy or are looking at.Happy new year.

Absolutely love this could have listened to henry talk for 24 hours
Funny that, a friend loaned me Henry's book on Sheds......couldn't get past the first page without reading it like he talks!
I can't believe the interview ended before finding out who won the raffle......!😉 A lovely bit of light entertainment intermixed with some refreshingly frank admissions of the darker parts of your past . A life well lived Henry... Love your work.... keep it up..... Thank you Brooklands for sharing this.... :-))
Love love love Henry cole, gave me my sense of humour back....😜
Absolutely fantastic. Henry's undersells himself a bit on TV with his slightly buffoonish "persona". He seems like a really genuine, humble character with a thousand stories to tell. Maybe it says something about me, but the language sounded just like an everyday pub conversation…Anyway, really enjoyable, HC has some interesting tales to tell 😁👍🏻
In Barry Sheenes biography, written that Steve Parish (wearing Sheenes helmet and on his bike on practice lap) put Barry Sheene on pole at grand prix.
True story

What a great interview. Many thanks for the programmes, the honesty and the camaraderie. Cheers guys. 👍

I love motorbikes, so I watch his shows. Never cared for his hammy style of TV presenting, but I have warmed to him quite a lot watching this.
That was great.

Total legends both of the I think they should have they're own tt show Henry would love that especially the classic tt role on another motor cycle show infact Steve parish going off with Henry bring it on chaps. 👏👏👏👏
Brilliant! Think it’s the first time I’ve seen Steve almost silenced!
Thought Steve was gracious in always making the conversation on Henry rather than him.
Was there a great evening
To do USA coast to coast on that thing, coke musta been needed. Loved all his motorsickle trips.
You've got to love Henry, he's a great tv personality and easy to watch where there's a script of some sort, but blimey is he hard work without one, this "interview" is testament to that.
