Mozart. 12 variations on "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" - the melody we most associate today with 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. It's amazing to think that the original melody was written only 40 years before these variations were composed (a childrens folk song from France), and today is one of the first and most important melodies we all grow up with - I still remember the feeling of realization that the Alphabet song and Twinkle Twinkle were the same melody! It's quite fitting that one of the most important melodies in human history received variation treatment from one of the most important composers in human history. I hope you have an awesome week ♥

I can't unsee this piece without thinking Your Lie in April, I know it's repetitive on the comments but that Anime just hits so hard every piano piece they played there hit so hard and the fact They both only played together ONCE Hits so hard.
I finished it today. God I was crying. For the first time in so long. But it was just all so beautiful. They played together once and it changed both their lives forever. And they only ever played for each other afterwards...Ok besides the one time kōrsei played for his mum.

I played this at a recital once. It was great, my teacher would order his students by increasing proficiency, I was kind of intermediate/advanced. So all the little 5 year olds played their easy pieces, then the more advanced students. Then I got up and started playing twinkle twinkle. It was great haha

His mother passed away right before these variations were written. It's hard to imagine what he was going through - he must be carrying all the sadness and writing these variations.
Was that he wanting to convince himself that his Mother was still watching him from the heaven? Or was he trying to get out of that sadness and find something random to do so started to write this? Or just because of the title of the original song?

@@ismailramdan5095 might be the case but I don’t know for sure. I’ve been practicing for 11 years since I was five and I still find sight reading next to impossible (only possible for very easy pieces like the theme of this video). My teacher can sightreed but it’s littered with mistakes and just barely sounds like it is supposed to, and lots of practice is still needed for it to sound good. But with the rate at which Rosseau puts videos he’s probably really good at the piano and is able to do it anyway.

People commenting a lot about how beginners would be crushed trying to learn this but it's honestly such a great piece for learning. It will let you progress while learning more and more valuable skills. Of course it will take time and hard work before you can play the whole thing but it's the journey to that goal and what you get out of it.

Mozart is an absolute music genius . He has written incredibly beautiful compositions , out of which such a simple composition "twinkle twinkle little star" is absolutely so profoundly made that only someone who is absolutely in grace of this creation can make this so unbearably sweet . He truly knew ecstasy of music . There will never be so sweet music ever atleast in this generation. I apologise for saying this but this music can itself dissolve you into liberation. This is divine . Not even a single person can today make this in the planet , I'm saying hardly at all. Twinkle twinkle little star is the peak of music . Only a absolute genius always soaked in the grace of creation can make this , otherwise it's not even possible, it's impossible. Because music is created by the creation itself and the blissful music is the peak of creation . Only with absolutely phenomenal attention towards life and creation , you can listen and experience this . Only with grace , you can implicate music like this . Otherwise it's just impossible and truly out of the world. I bow down to Mozart for his absolutely brilliant genius . Very unfortunate, i can't see Mozart's today in this world. I wish we can cultivate genius . This will only happen through grace and being in absolute sync with life , by becoming conscious. 🙏
