I love how when Muffin says, “We’ve got lots of couches!”, Bluey and Bingo both get this look on their faces like, “Yes, Muffin, we know your house is bigger than ours. You’ve mentioned it numerous times.”
I love episodes where the parents normalize kids using gadgets for fun stuff but also remind them about the rules that they're able to understand. Also I love how the dads respond to the kids refusing to close faceytime! XD
This episode is hilarious!😆 And yes, it's actually confirmed that Muffin & Socks are two halves of both parents. While Bluey & Bingo look & act like Bandit & Chili respectively; Muffin looks like Trixie but has Stripe's personality, while Socks looks like Stripe but has Trixie's personality. And you'll definitely find that out more much later.😆
i'd say this is one of the most real episodes in the show, Stripes and Trixie's argument sounds so real as well as Bandit's discomfort towards it. also i love how since Bluey is the oldest one of the 4 girls she is the most responsible during the call by questioning Muffin when she doesn't want to lend the tablet to Socks, trying to reason with her and telling Bingo they should not be helping her escape
Also it took me a while ago but yeah - hogging is seen in two ways: Muffin and Trixie. Muffin wants to hog the faceytime to finish her cowboy hat bc she can't find a way to communicate properly for time while Trixie wants to hog all of the parenting because she can't find ways to properly communicate that some of Stripe's methods are not right to her. It makes it harder for parents to trust each other or give time when they wanted to do it on their own, and it will create distance if they continue it so. That's why Trixie and Stripe's mute talk is important because Stripe is letting Trixie know that they got this together like a team.
Also Bluey is hogging her time, but she promises Bingo to give her a turn after she's done and she did. Plus - most of the time is occupied bc of the Muffin Chase and so on, distracting the girls (Except Socks) from finishing the final touches.
Just like ‘Charades’ and ‘Library’, this is another episode that doesn’t do Muffin many favors as she acts her brattiest yet, realistic as it may be, hogging the Faceytalk screen, refusing to listen to her dad, and even stealing his phone so she can keep playing. It probably doesn’t help that it seems like Stripe and Trixie have different parenting methods that they aren’t communicating with each other on. Still, as I’ve said, Muffin’s not a bad kid, just more prone to tantrums and excitability than her sister or cousins. Note that when she accidentally threw her dad’s phone into the pool, she sincerely apologized, and when ordered into timeout, she obeyed without fuss, knowing she was in big trouble. Some more positive notes about this episode: Socks getting to enjoy her Faceytalk time uninterrupted, Stripe and Trixie reconciling after their talk (with Bandit tactfully muting the call during it), and Bluey knowing it’s wrong to encourage Muffin stealing her dad’s phone, even calling out Bingo and Bandit for cheering her on. Also, the chase being set to the Toreador March from Carmen made it more delightfully chaotic.
Muffin used to bother me in this episode, and to a degree she still does, but it’s since been pointed out to me that her intended end was simply to finish drawing her cowboy hat. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but Muffin wasn’t given a legitimate opportunity to finish it, so she resorted to illegitimate means until the phone fell in the pool. In fairness, once that happened, Muffin didn’t simply try to hog the Faceytalk away from Socks-even though she hadn’t meant to throw Stripe’s phone out the window, she seemed at that point (though no earlier) to accept that she was in trouble. So she apologized and accepted her time out-and that she couldn’t finish her cowboy hat now. Anyway, Muffin’s at a young enough age where it’s on Stripe and Trixie to rein in her worst impulses. And even there, they aren’t perfect and they’ll make mistakes, but they are trying and they do love their children-it’s wrong to judge them harshly. It’s difficult when two young kids’ wills conflict and neither one is obviously in the wrong. You want your kids to share, but lately I’m coming to the conclusion that young kids need to be clear on the difference between “mine” and “yours” first-especially to know that “Just because your little sister is playing with your toy, that doesn’t mean it’s now her toy and not yours. It’s okay to let her play with it, but it’s still yours, and she still has to give it back to you when she’s finished.”
Right? It just shows contrast between the idealized Bandit and Chilli, and the more realistic and flawed Stripe and Trixie. Not saying Stripe and Trixie are bad parents, they're learning just as much as Muffin is.
Yeah! And the best part of that middle name is that I heard on the podcast Two Bandits Watching Bluey when they had the voice of Stripe on to talk about this episode he said that the kid who voices Muffin suggested that middle name! 😂
One reason I get Muffin in this episode is the difference between how Bluey was treated by her parents vs. her. Bluey WAS doing the exact same thing at the exact same pace, she was "hogging." She wanted to finish her drawing and was given the space to. Muffin wanted to finish HER drawing but wasn't given the space because of her parents' micromanaging. That was her one goal, "I want to finish my cowboy hat," but Stripe just imposed a timeout without listening, and so she rebelled cos she wasn't being HEARD. Honestly didn't get it at first watch until i thought about it again. Kind of shows the importance of actually listening to the kids and giving them a reasonable amount of space to carry out their goal. At Muffins age, there aren't many "serious" goals thus finishing the cowboy hat is of the utmost importance.
The thing is that Muffin had someone that wanted to play with the drawing thing right then and Muffin didn’t even ask if she could have some more time. She demanded more time. Bluey ASKED if she could finish her drawing, and Bingo said it was okay. That’s a big difference.
I remember laughing my ass off when I first saw this episode, especially with Stripe falling because of the Cat Squad bike from the Library episode back in season 2, and when Muffin runs into the bathroom when Trixie was sitting down on the toilet
My favorite bits in this episode Stripe is getting mad for the first time Muffin being an unruly child (I still love her tho 🥰) Socks just chilling and ignoring her sister's foolishness Trixie caught on the toilet (hilarious 😂) Stripe and Trixie talking out their parenting (My second favorite couple) And Bluey and Bingo are just sitting there, just watching all of this
Tv spoiled brats like Caillou or Angelica Pickles are normally so annoying they’re unlikable, but Muffin is an exception! At least Muffin isn’t a sociopath who cries and whines a lot, she just yells in anger and it makes me laugh!
Little bit of info about this episode the scene where Muffin runs into the bathroom and Trixie is shown on the toilet that scene was originally censored
I love this episode, it has such a unique format that uses fixed perspective super well. I also just personally really like shows that use bottleneck concepts like this.
This episode has a slight censor on Disney when muffin runs through the bathroom it glitches so you can’t see Trixie on the toilet, it’s a strange censor and I don’t understand why it was censored considering that we have seen other characters on the toilet before
Timeouts are already a fake punishment but now she doesn’t even get that anymore. ‘Spare the rod and spoil the child’ there’s a lot of truth behind that but too many people don’t want to admit.
I love how when Muffin says, “We’ve got lots of couches!”, Bluey and Bingo both get this look on their faces like, “Yes, Muffin, we know your house is bigger than ours. You’ve mentioned it numerous times.”

In all the madness, Socks is just doodling a nice garden
She's probably used to her sister acting up

I haven't seen a youtube comment with a homestuck icon in years, nature is healing /lh
6:06 Stripe:"Muffin, running away will only make it worse!!"
Muffin: ahahahaha

Was gonna say, Bingo is way too invested in the chase to care about her turn.
Socks just never stopped smiling when she was drawing
9:05?
I bet the crew had a blast animating this episode considering the perspective from the screens.
Muffin is chaos incarnate and I love her 😂
Same!! 😂 Especially in The Sleepover!
Socks is the complete foil of Muffin. The opposite of her sister.

How can someone not like Muffin she is pure chaos
Yea 💀
Right? It just shows contrast between the idealized Bandit and Chilli, and the more realistic and flawed Stripe and Trixie. Not saying Stripe and Trixie are bad parents, they're learning just as much as Muffin is.
3:56 Best middle name ever
Yeah! And the best part of that middle name is that I heard on the podcast Two Bandits Watching Bluey when they had the voice of Stripe on to talk about this episode he said that the kid who voices Muffin suggested that middle name! 😂
Bluey Christine heeler is the best middle name ever
I only just realized this.
Cowboy hat?
Out the window?
Muffin is Woody in this episode!
Muffin: (casually gets kicked in the face by a teardrop)

@@XShadOBabeX Bluey is 7 and Muffin is 3 or 4... there is going to be a difference in maturity.

13:17 IM FREE!!😂😂
I freaking love this episode
Ragdoll is next.
My favorite bits in this episode
Stripe is getting mad for the first time

Trixie caught on the toilet (hilarious 😂)
Stripe and Trixie talking out their parenting (My second favorite couple)

This is my favorite episode! because we get to see muffin and socks life and how stripe and Trixie raise their kids.
Now you can see, Muffin is the spoiled child in the Heeler family.
Muffin was really asking for trouble
More like she's SCREAMING 4 trouble
Forget timeout, she outta be whooped for what she’s done.
@@T1000skynetforever That and no Faceytalk until she learns not to hog and do what she's told the 1st time
Cow.... boy......HAT!!!😂
I love that part! 😂

As in like censor pixels/bars or as in it was cut out of the episode in some releases?
@@blockedblock5203 Like Muffin's head is enlarged to block Trixie.
i like that socks is chill in (almost) the entire episode
I love this episode, it has such a unique format that uses fixed perspective super well. I also just personally really like shows that use bottleneck concepts like this.
6:40 Stripe: "Well, at least I got a C6 Nilou out of it."
Muffin: YAY WATER BALLERINA!!
For a child who was acting spoiled this episode, Muffin was both smart and sneaky!
How Trixie holds Stripe’s hand is her saying “Looks like you were doing it right I’m still here for you”
This episode has a slight censor on Disney when muffin runs through the bathroom it glitches so you can’t see Trixie on the toilet, it’s a strange censor and I don’t understand why it was censored considering that we have seen other characters on the toilet before
They uncensored it on Disney+ stream. It’s still edited on Disney Junior broadcast because it would likely not fly with the FCC.
Muffin does have 1 positive trait: SHE MAKES ME GLAD I DON'T HAVE KIDS
Same here
Socks is mad at Muffin who is being bully to her and Aunt Trixie
Love the detail of the greenscreen function not being perfect and leaving jagged outlines around the people in the camera.
We don't get a lot of postverbal Socks, but she does seem like a very sweet child...
If There's Ever A Cartoon Hall Of Fame, Bluey Would Go Into The Hall

7:46 ITS THE GORILLA FROM THE GORILLA EPISODE LOL
Gorilla man! 😆😂
Not only that… it was altered by someone on a different screen.
I don’t think that’s a feature of any real-life equivalent.
Muffin is crazy 😂
7:20 Why did the fnaf song play right after 😭
11:51 “Let’s do it together.”
Do you mean the parents talking to each other and resolve everything, or Trix and Stripe catching Muffin together?
Bluey Christine Heeler
Muffin Cupcake Heeler
I have a theory that socks middle name is Roxanne, after her nickname rock socks.
Bingo Francine Heeler
Keep it up like always Tuna love the videos
This episode is a reference to how people would use Google Duo, Facebook or Instagram to do live chats on social media.
This episode was hilarious.

Just know ragdoll is pretty unfair for bluey and bingo
