Basting with the hem tape is so clever!!! It’s only ever made me anxious but this is a good use for hem tape. I also love that you hand baste. I’m inspired!❤

had that dress in a deep royal blue, wore earrings that I still own and a stunning brooch i still own it as well.of course i don't have the dress, my height, body shape did well with a lot of those fashions...sadly my weight and posture is effected from fractures of the spine so not so pretty today

I was going to skip the shoulder binding will this have any affect on the outcome of the finished dress?

The shoulder seam may not be as stable over time, but that's it.
