    No mention of Scania? If the Americans can build the engines to the same standard as in Sweden. Then it's a winning combination.

    How well does the S13 perform in altitudes from 6000’ to 14,000 ft above sea level in hot weather going up steep grades both on and off highway applications?

      The A26 is an MAN engine at the end if it's life, the S13 is a brand new Scania.

      From what I heard it's even 150lbs lighter than the A26 , more fuel efficient, produces less soot, 500hp

      A26 uses EGR Cooler like Cummins X15, Detdoit DD15, Volvo D13, Paccar MX13 and S13 doesn’t like new Scania engine in Europe

      It will need DEF because it still has SCR system.

    Question is when independent shop can handle this EU technology?. Looks similar to paccar ....overpricing in parts and repair. Today best knows and friendly is Volvo. And i don't vnl fan even when drive for over milion miles in VNL

    i wonder if they figured out how to build trucks WITHOUT electrical problems.everyone i drove over 22 years had something electrical that either didnt work.or worked intermittantly.i must admit, i only ever lost headlights while going 65mph at night once.that was enough for me.i guess thats why the old timers called them "13 letter sh•t spreaders".

    Uses twice as much def, economy mode is GUTLESS, maxforce 2.0

    Yeah absolutely no after the absolute failure with the maxxforce the only international engine I'll ever trust is the Navistar T444E or better known as the 7.3 powerstroke but I know what you're thinking you're thinking to yourself ain't Powerstroke a ford product yes it is but guess who built the engine for Ford for the longest time you got it international Navistar whatever the hell you would like to call it
