Remember, Otis was the one originally putting the walkers in the barn. Hershel had no idea she was in there. That said, I was gobsmacked when she came stumbling out of the barn.

When you said, "can we find Sophia by the end of the episode?" I thought, "Oh this isn't going to be quite what she had in mind."

This is when Rick becomes the official leader Shane couldn’t step up when he saw Sophia and Rick did.

This was the episode in TWD that viewers realized that this was not a horror show about killing zombies This was a drama show about human struggles even in the Apocalypse.

This episode was extremely heartbreaking for so many people it was a lot of people’s first moments realizing that The Walking Dead does not mess around.

One of my favourite episodes! Shane going crazy is such an epic scene and great acting! He’s not wrong in what he says it’s his delivery that is over the top 😂
    RIP Sophia, poor Carol!
    Great reaction welcome back ❤️❤️

Definitely still one of the most groundbreaking twists in TWD history.

I'm so glad you got this episode out. It is a major plot development for upcoming episodes and character development. Even though we lost other characters from the group, Sophia was the first big loss. It wasn't that we loved the character so much but the time and impact on the group while searching for her had become important. We all hoped she could survive somehow and be reunited with Carol. I hope copyright doesn't discourage you from continuing with this epic show.

    Great to see you back!
This episode was a tough one.
It goes to show that “plot armor” doesn’t exist o this shore. Any character to go at any time.
Hope you and your dad are doing better.
Sending love and prayers your way!

Jon Bernthal (Shane) stole the show in this episode Incredible acting.

I love this episode the ending is so important because it’s the struggle of leadership between Rick and Shane as Shane says Rick isn’t build for this world but then by the end of the episode Rick takes full leadership of the group by killing Sophia and doing what no one else in the group could do not even Shane Awesome reactions Susan can’t wait for the next one.

And this is where everyone started to see Rick as the leader Shane broke the doors but wouldn’t raise his gun to Sophia Rick did He took that responsibility so no one else would have to have that guilt In my opinion anyway Shane was a necessary evil yes but he made a situation and then couldn’t follow through on it Rick cleaned up the mess caused by Shane’s actions.

It's ok not your fault, TH-cam can be funny,it will block random episodes of a tv show for really no reason. So Otis put Sophia in there, but he never saw what she looked like so just thought it was a random walker

As for the Walking Dead...one note acting except from Darryl, Herschel, and Maggie. And it's about the Apocalypse as seen in
Rural North Georgia. Rural North Georgia. That's like an epic WW2 show as seen in Madagascar or Surinam or Turkey.
What's going on in the rest of the world? Wouldn't the government continue? They have all sorts of protocols in place for every contingency so wouldn't they treat a zombie virus or whatever like a biological/chemical attack? Wouldn't the military save the day? For all its humor Shaun.of the Dead was dead-on in what would really happen. The zombie apocalypse lasted 2 or 3 days. Then the Royal Army cracked down.
That would happen here. Also, survivors (if the military didn't immediately finish the zombies) would be tribal. And by that I mean become instantly segregated into separate gangs the way men do in prison, blacks with blacks, Latin with Latin, White with white. It seems like that would be natural, especially in the Southeastern US. And wouldn't they attack each other now that there were no laws or cops or militia or any impediment to doing exactly what you want?
Just saying. But on TWD great care is shown to never ever ever EVER mention race or anything that would offend the LGBTQ community. Only Darryl gets away with it by not having sex. With anyone. Ever. In a hallucination his older brother touches upon the issue but that is all.
And TWD became too politically correct, having deaf characters who were black female and gay, which checked off a lot of boxes. Including the Fantasy box, as if physically challenged people would survive a zombie apocalypse.
Also look at Rick. Look at his muscles. Over the course of the series, he is shown kicking the crap out of guys twice as big as he. Darryl also. If only it worked that way in a real zom....forget it. If you buy into zombies, you buy into Rick and Darryl being two Mike Tyson's.

When I saw this for the first time yrs ago I was totally shocked! Didn’t see that twist coming at all, I never even had a thought that Sophia was in the barn! It’s so sad, knowing she was right there and our group was risking their lives looking for her! Poor Carol and Daryl, he had so much hope that they would find her alive. When he apologized to Carol about the stupid bitch comment?! He’s come so far from his introduction. I don’t think Hershel knew about Sophia, Otis was the one doing that job. We shall see in the next one. Sorry about ur copyright problems, stick with it, you won’t regret it, best is yet to come!

I thought Shane should have stepped up to put walker Sophia down seeing it was his plan to let them out instead of letting Rick do it after he already is blaming himself for losing her.

I think Shane wanted to fine Sophia along with Rick, but it got to him seeing her. But Shane was right as you have to fight in this new world.

I’m still torn if Herschel knew Sofia was in there. Otis could have found her in that short time from her getting lost to when he shot Carl but that’s a pretty tiny window and he wouldn’t have known she was from their group.
If not Otis then maybe Jimmy bc as we saw he found Lou in the swamp so maybe he was bringing them back like Otis was.
There was one scene in 204 where they are all talking about Sophia and Shane asks what they do if they find her and she’s bit. Rick says “you do what has to be done.” Then Maggie asks “what about her mother? What do you tell her?” Andrea says “The truth”. Right then Maggie looks at Herschel and he silently shakes his head as if to tell Maggie not to say anything.
This made me think that perhaps he did know she was in there but still not sure bc why would Maggie even ask the question if she knew they would never find her in the woods.

Great catch on the dialogue with Hershel, Maggie, and Andrea! I missed that cue on their head shake. I never would have guessed she was in there. I was hoping she would be found with new characters taking care of her. So sad she was a zombie the whole time and right there on the property. At least Carol could have had come to terms of her little girl like that if she would have known she was in the barn. Such a depressing scene!!!! :(

The scene in 204 could be different reasons, they were talking about if they found Sophia as a walker and they would put her down, the look of Maggie could means she was asking "Should we tell them we don't kill them? ", Hershel shaked his head which could means he didn't want her to tell them or he was shocked they are going to kill a "sick " little girl. Hershel wanted them to go, he let them stay because Sophia was missing and Carl needs his care, if he knew and didn't tell them that would means he wanted to keep it from them, then why would he let Rick to help him put the walkers in the barn?

Didn't know how else to contact you. Have you ever thought of being a niche reactor? I'd love to see the videos of New Hollywood movies, movies that tried to deal with real life and push the envelope, movies from 1966 ( Blow-up) to about 1978
( Annie Hall). It's the richest period of American cinema. French Connection, Deliverance, Godfather, Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown, Cabaret, etc etc etc.

I enjoyed your reaction. Just do all you can to stay with it. Don't let the copywrite people get you down. You're doing great. I found it ironic when you said "I hope we find Sophia this episode". 👧+=
