For years I've been struggling and stoping my own level decorating progress because of how much I struggle with colors, you have no idea how much this helped
I also needed the help im building a tech level but as i know how to use glow and all advanced at saturation and brightness but finding the simple colour combinations is a struggle
Wow this tutorial was really helpful! I usually struggle with colours and I'm happy someone explained how to use the colours properly in depth. Will defo use this tutorial to help me build levels!
this is really useful for me, i'm a creator trying to get my first creator points but I have a really poor choice of color, this will help me a lot. thanks for sharing us you knowledge ausk!
Oh my, thank you so much That’s the main reason I can’t start building levels. Every time I open the editor and realize how bad the colors I choose are, just give up and delete the level With this trick this could change, I guess :) Um siri fazendo barra 💪🦀
I've always needed a short and simple video like this, I've always struggled with colours and their synergies, probably because I've mostly used the Top Left or Very Left of the colour sphere. This may come helpful for my next level, if I ever finish it, that is. Thank you so much for this!
I always tend to go for a black&white colors for my levels because I can't seem to find any good colors for them. This tutorial is actually very helpful, thanks a lot!
I’m already on fire on making a level and you helped us all so much to get a rated level, you actually weren’t kidding because I got dark blue and greenish yellow and it looks perfect
@@auskgd i was very surprised when i wrote this comment haha, sorry about it i never seen a color trick before, so this is really helpful for me thanks
thanks, also yea, i work as a graphic designer so i know some color theory (although i usually make stuff in gd by intuition), this is more of a trick for people who struggle with colors and can't really tell if a scheme is good or not
I struggle with colors so much that my only finished level is fully made of shades between black and white lol, thank you for this video, might really help me 😂

this is pretty helpful for people who struggle with colors but ill add that green also works well for the background so id say something more like every part of wheel besides the bottom left is good. orange and yellow arent too good for it the background
yea there are many other possible combinations, although this tip is a way to make things simple so people who struggle with it won't have to think about it that much, and will always get a good-looking combination

i'd say either black or a custom ground (teleport the player up at the start of the level and make the ground yourself) - for the custom ground, i'd use the same color as the background (main color), but make it 0.80 brightness
@@auskgd wow lol when i guessed i did exactly 0.8 brightness on the ground but it was the normal ground xd. when im done with my layout ill try what you said thx!
You gotta give it a new color channel in "Edit Object". If you change the color of an object in a color channel, it'll do it for all other objects assigned to that same color channel. :)
when using this trick, you can be sure the colors will always look nice, no matter which you pick (as long as they follow the rules i've said in the video) even if you see them a bit differently/not exactly as they are! wish you luck :)
Colours have always been an incredibly weak point for me but this makes it super super simple, thanks heaps for this
Glad I could help! :)

If this actually works, it's insane
How do i color color one thing without coloring all the blocks i put down?
You gotta give it a new color channel in "Edit Object". If you change the color of an object in a color channel, it'll do it for all other objects assigned to that same color channel. :)
Ty ty :D (even though this video was 1 year ago)
I love you
not tha im gay or smth just for the tutorials
How did you get the hsv and other different buttons in the editor?
BetterEdit extension :)
all my colours are: blue, blue, grey, blue, blue, dark blue, blue, blue blending, blue, light blue

You’re the best.
how do you make the blocks have the same color as the bg but like a lil bit darke?
use the "Copy color" option when selecting the color channel and then on the + button click "BG"
