It was a perfect playground for these creeps from the 60’s to 80’s. Punishments were light, no one listened to victims when it ‘can’t be proven’ and humans were allowing their offspring to wander without regard to safety. My mom was a child of the 60’s ’s and was pregnant at 16, the boys parents sent him to military school and said it never happened. Took my sister til she was in her 40’s to meet him. 🎉 weird times

@@lolotaeja3911they’re caught now more than ever due to science. Also, serial killers tend to stick to their own race, so if it’s bunch white women it’s usually a white serial killer, though laterly black serial killers have increased and they still generally stick to their own race, but seem to go a bit more for other races compared to other serial killer races. It’s still like 50% of serial killers are white in USA, 40% are black and 10% make other races. Hispanics are easily categorized in the white section though and Arabs, so stats may be a bit convoluted.

I was a kid in the 60's and in high school in the 70's. These kinds of horrific crimes by men against women and girls were considered "less than important" by law enforcement in those days. Guys like this would get caught, get slapped on the wrist, and then released after a short sentence - so that they could then go out and repeat their crimes. In college (early 1980's) I personally knew a dude who kidnapped and raped two girls, and he only got TWO YEARS in jail. Good God. Other girls I knew back then who had been raped refused to report it because of how horrifically they knew they would be treated by the legal system. I am so damed lucky it didn't happen to me. The legal system did not start to change until women THANKFULLY became a much stronger presence in the legal and law enforcement fields. Smh - and now we have women and girls who don't have a clue how bad it was back then, and want a return to those awful, awful times.

I was definitely messed up, in pretty much all the ways I could be, by the horrible blase attitude towards sexual assault and abuse in those years. Victim must have been written across my forehead, because that was me for the early years of my life. At least now things that were then overlooked, unreported and mostly dismissed as, "unfortunate occurrences", are taken somewhat seriously when they are reported. Well, that has been the case in much of the world. We'll see if that changes in the near future, thanks to the shifts we are seeing towards the political right. Law and order ain't what it used to be for a lot of people.

Unclear how that is going to help women in any way. Men are still going to abuse women both at home and in the workplace, and women are still going to go to work, put up with it, and get paid less for the same job. There is no such thing as an autocratic government who gives a crap about anyone's human rights or well-being. That's why we have a democracy, not a Trumpacy. People who release such monsters to live among us ARE NOT merely inept; they are themselves psychopaths, just the like the monsters. That's why they sympathize with monsters - - because they ARE MONSTERS THEMSELVES. This is not a passive oversight; they are complicit in the crimes.

I'm not thinking of monetary gain, but to make a statement that it isn't right that we are forced to live in fear and be traumatized by the horrible acts committed by parolees and the ones they don't keep once they have them.

I know this makes people angry, but this is NOT A SEX CRIME. This is a power crime like they all are! If you call it sex men forgive it don’t you see that sex is natural? But what they’re doing is forcing someone, therefore it’s a crime of power! It’s akin to murder, even if the person is still alive. That person will never be safe.

There’s another jewelry thief out there that claims he gets a stiff iffy when he sees jewelry. Anything can make a man horny. But these crimes are not about having sex! They are about power because they have power over the person they are hurting. is that a good Explanation for you?

And then men have the audacity to question women for not reporting sexual assault or only reporting them years later.
