- New year and new goals. This year I am going back to flight training with the intention of adding an IFR rating to my pilot privileges. I spent over a year getting the plane and panel ready for this training. Follow along as I move through this training over the next few months. I've made my way through most of the syllabus, and now we are in the process of building efficiency. Moving forward I have some additional upgrades to show you all and hopefully I can get the audio sorted out...

ove got at least 10 hours of hood time at a minimum I need to complete.
Did you need to get a LODA to train in your Zenith, and will you be permitted to take the checkride in it as well?
LODA was not required per the FSDO since I own the plane. I did find a DPE willing to do the check ride in the Zenith.
