How does this compare to the VA curved model. I'm more interested in display Brightness, motion blur (UFO test), and overall color depth. Comparing both models. I purchased the curved model fory girlfriend a while ago. I was impressed for a VA panel. But when I saw this model, I noticed you had both but in your subjective opinion, which monitor is superior?
@@ChangedEver I like both. The ips has less image degradation when moving. The ips has slightly more vibrant colors. But... I can only Tell the difference because I have them side by side. The blacks are better on the curved. Image uniformity looks better because of the curve. I have never really cared about curved displays, but on ultra wide it actually makes a difference. The curved monitor looks more premium. In game I don't see a massive difference. But in fast paced games the ips is going to be a cleaner image when moving fast. For casual games the curved looks good and the image looks consistent throughout because of the curve. In a dark room. The ips has the typical ips glow with darker scenes in a darker room. Both are good. Just depends on what games you play. FPS games... The IPS is going to probably be the better choice. The curved has better white and black (contrast) better for darker scenes. The curved has VA, so it has the slight smearing for blacks and greys. But most games you won't notice the typical va smear. The IPS has the glow with darker images. Although the colors look slightly better and the image looks sharper when moving quickly. The ips glow can make the color shift look bad in a darker lit environment because the display is flat. They kinda have a draw for me. They both have strengths and weaknesses.
@unitcharles689 I appreciate your detailed response, man. That really makes me feel good about going with the curved. I play a lot of games, but mostly by solo. Just recently got into Age of Wonders 4 and Warhammer 3, but that's probably the only multi-player games I play. I got lucky and has some extra cash to upgrade from a 1160 super to a 4070 rtx and I feel like I wasted money because I don't have a nice screen to enjoy those fps increases and graphics. Again, I really appreciate your time!
@@ChangedEver no problem. I don't play FPS games all the time, so I do really like the curved monitor. I thought they were a gimmick until I bought that one for my girlfriend and got myself the IPS. Of course I compared both. But I lean towards the curved model as I do play A little of both FPS and RGB games. The curved model has a better focal point for my eyes, especially off to the sides. But I do love both for what they excel at. If I had to choose one I would go with the curved model just because of the color uniformity and no backlight glow.

@@TheNetGuy okay thanks. I'm just needed 1440p 120hz for my Ps5 and work. I don't have PC so no need for higher specs right now. Which one would choose? 1. ASRock Phantom PG27Q15R2A - va 2. GIGABYTE GS27Q Advanced - ips 3. Acer 27" 170 Hz NTSC ED270U - va 4. KOORUI 27E6QC 27 Inch 144hz - va They're all 1440p 27in. I just don't know much about monitors. I want something with nice colors and performance mainly but I have a budget of $200.
The main issue with these so called "gaming monitors" is that they don't have drivers to actually make it usable for gaming. Since you the manufacturer doesn't have drivers for it's product makes it just another regular monitor with no graphic acceleration at all. Using a Generic PnP 😂😂😂 claiming it has freesync... Well guess what to use freesync tou need drivers for the manufacturer. This is why I sent this crap back!. Don't waste your money, I've never seen in my life a gaming monitor either Gsync or Freesync without drivers 😂. Sceptre is the only one it seems in the world.😂😂😂 They need to ask help from Amd and at least a 3rd party to build their drivers, this products are just a joke. And PS I had one I manage to return it the next day.

I would like an answer on this too. I'm looking to buy this or the curved.

Is there a 1440 version of this?
There are some VA panels and a curved, but definitely more expensive. Not of the 210hz that I'm aware of though.
