I'm personally using a 60m lan cable ( 180+ Feet ) and have not much issues using it. You can try up to 100m ( 300 ft ) lan cable if needed. Wireless method useless hota hai. Speed and range dono bahot Kam hota hai... Lgao ya na lagao... Ek hin baat hai.
Wired me kam nahi hoga. Han jitne jyda devices connect karoge utna speed kam hoga. Speed distribution k wajah se, 200 Mbps wala plan best rahega big family liye.

You can give both the routers same ssid and password...the devices will automatically switch to the router with stronger signal.
