I really enjoyed Wild Love last month. I read Swift and Saddled as soon as it released and I don't think it had all the things you are mentioning from Done and Dusted. I've been sucked into Binding and Keeping 13 lately ( I have all the books sitting on my Kindle since all, but the last one is on KU, but I need a break before Joey's books). My June TBR includes Just for the Summer, Funny Story, Fragile Sanctuary, The Rule Book and some historical romances. Happy reading!

Thank you for the info on Swift and Saddled . . . based on your list of reads, it looks like we have really similar taste. I LOVE Binding 13 and most of the books on your list. I just added Fragile Sanctuary to my list.

I just DNF'd ACOTAR, a series I was so excited to read, but something in it just triggered me and made me so mad that I made a call to not keep reading it. So, now I'm just flailing around trying to figure out where to go now. I'm thinking "Just for the Summer" will be next. I DNF'd Icebreaker a couple of months ago, thinking I might just be too old to be reading about college kids romance, but now I'm thinking maybe it was the writing. I read Remarkable Bright Creatures and enjoyed it. Something about it it being the author's debut book and how she got the idea made it an interesting read.

I keep looking at Remarkably Bright Creatures and just not picking it up. I should probably just dive in. Did you decide to start Just for the Summer? I hope you did . . . And I hope you loved it. I laughed out loud and cried like a baby when I read it. 😂

I think, regarding my reading material, I've gotten possessed. I am not a fantasy book lover. I just always felt there were so many out there that it was impossible to find one that didn't sound like poorly written fan fiction. That said, I got snagged into the Sarah J. Maas universe and lost my freaking mind. I got all her Acotar books, all her Throne of Glass books, and all her Crescent City books. And me, a fantasy book hater. But I love her writing. I love the characters. On my other TBR list is The Mindf*ck Series. I keep seeing it mentioned so often!📚😝

I have a bunch (!!!) of SJM books. I need to start reading them. And speaking of the Mindf* Series - I recently found out that the author of the series passed away a few years ago. That made me SO sad. I know NOTHING about her . . . I don’t think I even know her actual name, but I felt a real sense of loss when I found out that she had passed away. I know that’s a little nuts, but something tells me that you’ll understand.

@@fitdaniellereads I do understand. It's sad to know when authors die so young, I think she was only 37? And it's kind of a mystery her cause of death. At first it was reported she died in a car accident but other sources, supposedly close to her, said her husband shot her in self defense when she went after him with a sword (I know, so weird sounding!). I hope the accident story is the real one. So much seems to have been scrubbed from the internet about her so it's hard to know the full story. Her most common pen name was C.M. Owens. She has other books on Amazon by that name. And Kristy Cunning/Cunningham might have been her real name. But yes, either way, so very tragic. Since posting my first comment I've been pulled into more fantasy authors like Adalyn Grace's Belladonna series, SO good!

😂 I read “Shogun” in your comment, not “shotgun”. 😂 I am familiar with the book and the series, but I haven’t read any of them. I’ve heard that it’s really good. Are you enjoying it? I’m guessing so if you’ve made it past the halfway point . . . That’s quite a commitment!!
