There are so many to choose from!! Over 200 I think....
Maybe try "Can't Fight the Feeling" a Justin Timberlake upgrade, or "Listen to the Music" a Doobie Brothers upgrade. "Love Train" is fun, or "Brother".
"The Butts Medley" is always highly recommended.
"Try Everything" from Zootopia is fun, and so is their "Sea Shanty Medley". You can pretty much choose ANY of their songs. You won't find a bad one.
If you're looking for something a little mellower, there's "Brothers in Arms", "One Man Band", and their original Stargazer Trilogy which includes: Give Me a Sign, Stargazer Lillie's, and MR....in that order.
Need a little Gospel? Home Frees got it covered. How Great Thou Art, Amazing Grace, Go Rest High on that Mountain, My Church....I gotta stop now cuz the list just keeps growing! 😂 I could keep going all day and never mention the same song twice.

Country Fried Pop Medley; the Butts Remix; their new release of their cover of Life is a Highway that just came out last week. Also check out Adam Rupp's Drum Solo from 2015. (he's in a red flannel). That's from a while ago, and then you can compare with his newer drum solos up on TH-cam. Also, the Sea Shanty Live they just came out with not too long ago is phenomenal. And you can see how they perform live, which is always better than the studio versions, imo.

Tim Faust_base, Adam Rupp_beat boxer, Rob Lundquist_lead tenor, Adam Chance_baritone, and Austin Brown_high tenor. But all 5 can beat box and all 5 can sing tenor. Tim is from Texas, Adam and Rob are from Minnesota, Chance is from Alabama and Austin is from Georgia. They can all sing lead and switch it up depending whose voice best suits that particular song.

Yeah - right, though Adam Chance has a three register voice similar to Tim Foust .... not quite as low - not quite as strong Tenor .... but all can sing within their primary register And beyond .... Rupp is a natural low Tenor and rarely gets to sing fills and harmonies for his usual Beat Boxing ! GBjj

Austin Brown tenor 1 ( two tone jacket)
    Rob Lundquist tenor 2 (Beard)
Adam Chance Baritone back row your right)
    Tim Foust Bass
    Adam Rupp Beatboxer

  • @toodlescae
    @toodlescae ปีที่แล้ว +2

My Left to right: Tim Foust (dark hair)- bass, Adam Rupp (short hair in this one) - beatboxer/vocal percussion, Rob Lundquist (beard & glasses)- tenor, Adam Chance (hoodie)- baritone, Austin Brown (long brown/red hair & beard)- high tenor.
The only one who doesn't sing except very rarely is the beatboxer, Adam Rupp on the back left (well your right the way you were pointing). Be aware that Adam and Tim's hair length changes depending on when the video was made. Tim cut his hair and let the gray out during lockdowns. Adam frequently grows his hair out then donates it to charity when it's long enough.

Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! I see below that someone has given you their names and vocal areas. Just to keep in mind that they are FAR more than just able to sing in their "designated" areas. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range, and can sing tenor just fine. Austin has been classically trained, and can sing with, or without, his Georgia accent. Rob has had opera training. Chance can sing bass quite fine, along with a good low tenor voice. And Adam is a real freak with his abilities in beatboxing, as well as having a nice voice when he does sing. They are very capable of singing different parts, and their harmony is way above average! Been a Home Fry for many years now, even when they just got started.

Fantastic reaction. This one got you a new sub. Home Free is all about Beauty. Real music. Comedy and tragedy. All of it. You should react soon to the Drum Solo by Adam Rupp (2015 in red plaid shirt) to appreciate his role going forward. Another beautiful song featuring solos by 3 of the guys is "In the Blood." And Austin Brown (who did the high solos in End of the Road) kills "When a Man Loves a Woman." For their hilarious side, see the "Butts Medley," a remix of all styles, including hiphop.

Back row: Adam Rupp beatboxer ( can't miss him playing invisible drums) also has a tenor/high tenor voice. ( Adam) Chance ( tight beard shorter hair) baritone/bass/tenor

Boyz II Men was originally an acapella group. Shawn Stockman of BIiM was a judge on The Sing-Off an acapella competition show. Home Free was on the show's fourth season and won.
Shawn was a big fan of them especially of Austin Brown, the high tenor. Austin sang the lead on Man of Constant Sorrow. Shawn said Austin wasn't just a another white boy singer and that Austin's voice was smooth as butter. Rob Lundquist with the beard and glasses is singing lead here. As Shawn said it "the boys can blow," meaning they can really sing and that they are really talented.

  • @SRHS83

At minute 1:19 when you asked for their names: L-R (or 1-5): Tim Foust who is the bass and can sing in 5 octaves, Adam Rupp who is the beat boxer, Rob Lundquist who is a tenor, Chance (aka Adam Chance) who is a Baritone and Austin Brown who is a tenor. All but Adam take leads in different songs, though there are a handful of songs he sings in instead of percussion noises and other sounds. They really are phenomenal!!

They all sing . They decide who sounds better singing what part. Sometimes they take turns singing a verse but sometimes take the lead. Well, exceot Adam Rupp, the beatboxer. We can often hear his sweet tenor/high tenor in the harmonies but he doesn't like to sing alone. You can see him sing a sentence or two by himself in " How Great Thou Art ". All sing lead, depending on the song, except for Adam, the beatboxer. He's actually got a sweet tenor voice & excels at background harmonies when not beatboxing.👍
Although they all can beatbox to an extent, usually the others who aren't singing lead are creating the "music" in the background. Tim (deepest voice) is adept at sounding exactly like a bass (standing bass or bass guitar)! If he's singing lead, Chance (guy in the back, right side in this) easily takes over the bass line! Adam's drumming is so realistic that professional drummers are dumbfounded. 😳🤯 They're all so dang good at it and so versatile that you forget there's no music track or drum kit! Lol
In the picture you stopped on, from left to right:
Tim Foust, bass, but has a 5 octave range so he can sing any part! 🤯 He used to have long, dark hair, but since the lockdowns, he now has shorter hair with a gray streak.
Adam Rupp, beatboxer & tenor vocals. He usually has short, reddish hair, but will sometimes grow it out pretty long so he can donate it for wigs for children who've lost their hair due to chemo, etc. Almost always clean-shaven.
Rob Lundquist, tenor. Always looks the same with his glasses & long, dark beard. Has perfect pitch & is considered the best singer by the rest of the guys.
Adam Chance (goes by "Chance" to avoid confusion because there are 2 Adams), baritone - but has a 4 octave range & can also sing bass and tenor! He used to have short, dark hair & tightly cropped beard. Lately he has been changing up styles & sometimes has the sides shaved close with a man-bun. Wears a baseball cap much of the time, though. Keeps a short beard.
Austin Brown, high tenor. Skinny Georgia boy! Has reddish hair that he's grown out really long now! Scruffy beard. When he shaves & cuts his hair, he looks about 12 years old. 😂🤣😂
They're all really tall, from around 6'1" to 6'4"!! All 5 are married now & Rob and Adam (Rupp) each have 2 kids. These guys are ultra-talented & absolutely amazing! Not to mention really great people who have remained humble & "real" despite their success. The group was created 23 years ago, believe it or not! They won the Sing-Off TV competition in Season 4 (2013) & took off like a rocket!
Oh, and they adore their fans (the HomeFries) & reactors!👍❤🎶🔥
Dang it! No matter how hard I try to be concise, I always end up writing a stupid book! LMBO Sorry! 🤪

The only one of the group that isn't a "lead" singer is the beatboxer - by his choice.
    1) Tim Foust - generally considered a bass, but he has a 5 octave range.
    2) Adam Rupp - founder(with his brother Chris) of the group - beatboxer extraordinaire, considered a tenor, but has a range to rival Tim, and a lovely voice on the rare occasions that he solos at all.
    3) Rob Lundquist - tenor - and considered by the rest of the group to have the best voice. R&B Rob, Gospel Rob, Opera Rob...
    4) Adam Chance (called Chance to avoid confusion) - baritone/bass. Not quite as large a range as Tim, but can carry the bass when Tim is singing higher. The newest member of the group - joined in mid-2016.
    5) Austin Brown - high tenor.
HF makes every song their own - but they have plenty of original songs, too. I know people who grew up with B2M probably love theirs better, but HF's was the first version I heard (yes, I'm OLD!!) and I prefer it. It may be, also, that technology has improved since 2009. But I stand with my answer - I prefer HF.

Shawn Stockman ( Boyz ll Men ) was a judge on the Sing Off in 2013 when Home Free won he absolutely loved the guys
    Tim ( Bass)
Rob lead this song ( Tenor )
Austin second lead( High Tenor )
    Chance ( Baritone/ Bass
    Adam ( Beatboxer)
Home Free doesn’t have a lead singer.
When it comes to choosing who will sing they each take turns on singing the song (except Adam ) and then choose who’s voice or voices suit the song the best also there is one other exception if it is a low bass or baritone song then that is for Tim or Chance 😊

All four take lead, they decide by vote, what songs they will perform. Then they try everyone out at lead to see what works best. The Beatboxer Adam Rupp sings backup sometimes if they feel the song shouldn't have any percussion. Such as How Great Thou Art and Holy Night.

Kathy here - loved your reaction to their vocals. Your questions were answered below regarding names, etc. And some great songs have been recommended, but I am going to recommend one - It is a Hyme but so beautifully done, and done in the Swiss Alps = How Great Thou Art. Beautiful song and version. And yes, they sing with true passion, and their vocal choices of runs and the way they use the diction of the words, is amazing. (I sang with a band for 15 years in Orlando, Florida - lead female - back in the 80's and 90's and this was one of the songs our band would do, with the male lead singing most of it) I love both versions, but a leaning a little more to Home Free. Thanks for such a great reaction.

  • @HBKCommish
    @HBKCommish ปีที่แล้ว +6

My personal favorite in Home Free is Rob. He's the Baritone, and the Baritone has always traditionally been the singer that "can do it all", so to speak. They can go high or they can go low, and everything in-between. Adam Chance is also really great at this. And he's kind of the designated backups to either Baritone or Bass. Tim can go pretty high compared to most Bass singers, and there is a few songs that really displays his ability to go high and low, but ultimately he's a natural Bass. I love Austin's voice. But he's a natural Tenor and nothing else. He can do Baritone, but it's not where he shines best.

These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges on the "Sing Off" that Home Free won & he was a big fan of these guys from the start. #1-Tim Foust. Bad boy. Basso Profundo. His bass will rumble your soul, but he actually has a 5 octave range and sings everything from tenor to bass. Also a song writer.
#2- Adam Rupp. Vocal Percussionist Extroidinaire, Freak of Nature, and creator of the no-monica. He is an avid D&D player, and is rumored to have swallowed an entire drum kit. He has an exceptional vocabulary of sounds.
#3-Rob Lundquist. Aka...the Beard. Tenor. Classically trained in Opera. Viking fan. Gospel Rob will take you to church!
#4- Adam Chance (Chance to avoid confusion with Adam Rupp). Baritone. Song Writer. Has a voice smooth as butter and loves sea shanties.
#5 Austin Brown. The Golden Boy and baby of the group. Classically trained in Theatre. Song writer. Amazing high tenor.
All the guys can beatbox to some extent, and they dont really have a lead singer. They go with whoever has the best voice for the song, and sometimes they each take a solo part.
They dont do covers...they do upgrades! They also do originals of their own. I love the way they breathe new life into older songs and introduce them to younger generations.
I love these guys because they are so personable and have a great sense of humor. Their music always makes me happy.😊

All five of them are amazing singers. Tim Foust (Far left) has an 8 octave range he can hit the extreme low notes and some impressive high notes that is absolutely unbelievable. They call him the bass machine. Adam Rupp (Near left) is one of the most talented vocal percussionists to ever exist. Rob Lunquist (Center) is an amazing singer in his own right. He makes a perfect counterpoint for the lead singer. Adam Chance (Near right) is a very talented bass singer with some unique vocal talents. He was the one who made the buzzing sound in the beginning of man of constant sorrow. Austin Brown (Far right) is one of the most talented singers and has an ability to really pull the group together. Each one of these men is fully capable of a solo career and they would still be amazing, as a group they transcend and take acapella music to a new level.

I love Boyz II Men and have played End of the Road so many times. I never thought I'd ever like a cover of this song. But Home Free did it, while maintaining the respect for the original. How wonderfully sung by all! But for me it is mainly Rob Lundquist who nailed it. What a great voice with so much soul in it. He touches me deep inside. Of course it is the combination of the other leads , fantastic harmony, bone-feeling bassline and the inhuman vocal percussion (Adam Rupp) that makes it complete.
The best A-Cappella group for me!Home Free is a group where there is no rivalry and they are all great personalities. All five have great voices with their own specialties. Even the incredibly good beatboxer/vocal percussionist Adam Rupp has a beautiful voice. He started the group with his brother Chris Rupp in 2000. Chris Rupp left the group in 2016 for other projects. He was replaced by Adam Chance (right back, Bass and Baritone. Referred to as Chance). Adam Rupp is the only member left of the original group. Rob Lundquist (Tenor) joined later, then Tim Foust (Bass), then Austin Brown (High Tenor) and finally Adam Chance.

There is no lead singer in this group. They audition the song and as a group decide whose voice best suits the song. Check out Working for a Living. A fun video and vocally they all get a piece of the pie, although Adam Chance takes the lead. And speaking of pie, you have to check out American Pie with Don McLean. He wrote and recorded the song, and with HF, they put out a 50th anniversary edition. The collaboration was Don’s idea. Subbing today for more HF.

Since you like the bass, you might like Brothers in Arms. Tim Foust, who sang bass in this song, is one of the leads, and Adam Chance, who sings bass and baritone, is the other. (Both of them can sing outside those ranges too.)

1:45 on the left is Tim Foust, Texas, and sings bass mostly, next in the back is Adam Rupp, Minn and beatboxer extraordinaire, Center is Rob Lindquist, Minn I do believe , Tenor and often shares leads with another, in the back on the right is Adam Chance, aka Chance, Calif, Some bass some baritone some tenor, far right is lead tenor Austin Brown, home grown Georgia boy, and a magnificent voice.
