IMO - What makes DayZ so special is the atmosphere. The lighting, the ambient sounds. The wash of relief as you finally see sunrise coming. The trees shaking in the wind. How wonderful and warm a fire feels and sounds on Namalsk. A gunshot from miles away.
I really hope we get survival games that have big cityscapes with skyscrapers that you can barricade a full hotel floor in, a megamall (Like in Zomboid but better graphics) not every map set in Skryvonia, Badronia or Rakezonia or some Eastern European village setting.
It's shaping up to be one of the best mods out there. Definitely makes me wonder if there is a fresh new game in the works. Thanks for coming back to this mod.
I hate that game, it's so clunky and everyone just sprints around punching eachother or playing it like a fucking battle royale game. Arma 2 dayz epoch was the best, the combat still had some sense of realism and there wasn't a stupid amount of clunky systems

Actually having a decent amount of cars that spawn on the map that you could repair. Actually having a working sneak system that you could sneak around Zeds with. Oh, and players that would actually interact when outside Military areas, whether they killed you or not at least there was some RP goin on. I miss that shit
I’ve always said if they really want to truly improve dayz they would remake it on a new engine, with what this is shaping up to maybe they’ll do that with the new competition
Based on what i see in this Video, i have some Suggestions. 1. The Environment looks to groomed, considering there are almost no Humans alive(Lore). Things like overturned trees, overgrown fences and so on are missing. Washed out roads. 2.Finding cars that still work is not the problem, dead batteries ok makes sense. However the fuel would be the key. How to get it. You would need to make it yourself. (Diesel) 3. If it would be possible to choose which traits a character has. Mechanic, Carpenter... That would give incentive's to playing together. Because not every character could do anything. Electrician
I remember the first time I played dayz I had headphones on, standing game in a woodland the wind picked up the trees started creaking leaves rustling.. it was very immersive. That’s what makes a good game, sounds, lighting, and all the other jazz. To make a better original game it should be very similar just fix the shit physics.
I noticed in the first second was the graphics. One thing I would like to see is that ghilie suits blend in better instead of sticking out like a sore thumb.
Wishlist. Hunting - fishing - farming. Caravan camps with added tents, campfires and storage trailers. Food prepping, aka drying, canning, preserving. Ammo, clothing, tools crafting. Just to name a few.

i think that if dayz 2 had a map system in vanilla like how the modded servers are that would be a major improvement. Like how on some modded servers where when you find a map you get to look at the map by pressing m. thats the concept i was trying to say XD also if the vehicles were actually driveable without flying or d-syncing every 2 minutes
I stole someone's truck once and I was so excited until 20 seconds after the fact the game froze for like 5 minutes and I loaded Into a you are dead screen 🙃
They need a clearer to read compass and the distance viewing is needing balancing for sure! Ammo is too far away from the guns to be accurate. Great video! ❤
Aspects of the original Origins (Taviana) I miss : 3X versions of houses to build vis recipe , Fortress, scrap armored car, junk heli & AI island w/ Mayor's mansion
Im not gonna lie been one of my favorites to watch for awhile now and i miss hero's haven so much. servers were fun people were cool. Always wanted to bump into you but never did. Love the content Anarchy, much love
They need diving gear for when your shoot Helis down in the water plus they can have quest to ship wrecks or subs maybe even underwater cities like Atlantis. And they need a way to build your own bunker/storm shelter. With trenches for more base defenses. Also bring in the M-203 that can attach to m-16 M4 even the AK variant launcher.
You should post strictly star citizen. As soon as my toddler gives me my computer room back, I’m gonna play that game so hard 😂. Love your videos. More star citizen please

For heading, 360 is North, 180 is South, so that makes 270 West and 90 East :D Hope that helps you, I wouldn't have understood the russian signs either :P

For military rifles if they were designed to accept bayonets. Would be a good feature especially if you have no ammo. Running down on someone with such a weapon combo and getting a kill faster than a knife fight with the blunt force of a bunt stroke with the rifle butt.

Does anybody know performance wise how this game compares to dayz? It looks really smooth from everyone I've seen playing it, but I suspect most of these people are running 3080's or 4080's, so that's not a surprise. Is it a demanding game overall, or is it more like dayz?
What happened at 13:25 ? You grabbed a mag, then suddenly you had a huge backpack and a sniper? :( Wish you'd include some of the bits where you found those. I should note, i'm one of those people that like watching the looting. It's relaxing.
I quite like the little code-locks. Forces you to let your guard down while you're trying to open it. Would be even better if it forced you into a 1st person perspective.
after playing 6k hours of days, 3k of them on vanilla i can honestly say that's the only reason why i don't play vanilla at all now. it's fine when you have a single door.. when you are forced to put up 10+ doors because raiding is so easy, dial code locks make you lose your mind.
I would like to see cars and helicopters with a actually key like days epoch, base building like days origins, 2 missions going on on the server, team group system, if you find a wheel and scrap metal you can craft a bicycle and if you find also a motor you can craft a motorbike. Is it ask for too much to have a proper Dayz 2 experience? I'm waiting for that at least 7 years

Hi Anarchy, You're serious about being unable to read the compass, right? ;) Thick gold line on the dial - North The dial has numbers on it: 0-365 degrees East - 90 degrees South - 180 degrees West - 270 degrees Hopefully the mod will be updated to have the compass directions added as NSWE letters.
Has a lot of potential. For me the inventory interface needs reworked to resemble dayz as I feel its a bit clunky and slow and the aiming and holding breath action needs sorting also but im very happy with the updates and direction the mod is heading.

from what i have played, it lacks the survival aspect, med system, hunting fishing. i did see a content creator living in a treehouse base on OriginZ 's reforger server, it looked like stick built, nothing like bb+ or vanillla dayz so i couldnt tell if it was a p.o.i. or if it was built. looked awesome though.
That was a custom part of mapping he built with a map editor, we can all do that in the editor with stuff lol the DayZ modders are doing good so far, food/drink, they're working on base building, fishing, and the new Arma update introduced medical gameplay which is being implemented :D
I think DayZ 2 could really improve on base building and fleshing it out to let you build more like Rust maybe? where you could automate and make traps and etc.

It certainly looks great for what it is, but I play DayZ for the atmosphere and the stark dichotomy between bleak ruination and beautiful scenery.

Camps, AI and missions all needed for a real Arma feel.
Foraging. Always thought Day Z could do with more wild berries and mushrooms. Also could make poison with toxic mushrooms and berries.
The same with canned food becoming more scarce as you travel north you'd have too hunt for survival

I think the character models are the same ones used in vigor which is a console only game. The movement is pretty similar

Character models, clothing and weapons. Everything else looks great. Is there blood yet? Maybe the character death could look better.
I always thought that a more intricate cqc / melee system with some varied stealth takedowns would make a good sequel upgrade.

The zombie mod is being reworked, but i think people forget for like 4 years there was like 1 zombie in DayZ lol The new zombies are looking cool =]

Third person in DayZ doesn't make me motion sick, first person in DayZ does - it's why i mostly do third person :)
