I don't know about you guys, but I really believe Aandavan Kattalai was one of the best movie Tamil cinema had seen. The writing, characterization especially soundtrack and the lyrics. I remember listening to Vazkhai Oru Ottagam, Yaaro Petha Pillai every single morning while commuting to Nungambakkam in local train for work. Walking on the Loyola college bridge, seeing those people hurrying to the work was something. Those two songs just explains everything about Chennai and us. Everything was impeccable, its time we should start appreciating Manikandan.

Lesson to learn from VJS - How much ever height you reach in your life with respect to fame, status and money, never forget your past and the people who helped you to attain the status that you are in now. Simply amazed the way he remembered all the initial struggle he had and how Manikandan helped him by giving him all the credits. He could have easily hidden those details and said nothing about him but he didn't! Such a great personality and a great life lesson! Thanks for this interview! ❤️
Aandavan Kattalai movie watched in theatre, and watched many times in TV, story telling would be always fresh whenever we see that movie, you won't get bored at all. Very simplistic movie and characters.

One trait that great interviewers have - they know when something magical is possible and stay in the background letting it happen. BR tried and succeeded to an extent but he was always at a disadvantage in this interaction. He thinks more than he feels whereas these two are all about vibes.

Seriously amazing to see how humble Vijay Sethupathi is when BR is agreeing to Manikandan when he says how amazing an actor VJS is. There are so many hidden facts in that scene. Director kept lot of untold stories in that scene. Only a in depth spiritual knowledgeable person like director and his team and vijay Sethupathi can keep such scene. So all his duties finished, so Ramaya transferred the message to the messenger. Messenger also realized his mistake and hence he promoted to that great level that’s why he got a chance of looking at Ramaya reaching god).

I'm going to be brutally honest here.
The discussion works best when VJS and Mani are freewheeling and really expanding on how they visualise cinema and express their views on film making. The discussion is weakest when BR interjects and tries to give it structure and frames it within a typical interview construct.
The IR and SaNa music question was cringeworthy - like an item song in the middle of a great movie. Their response to it was the only false note in what was otherwise a honest discussion.
The last question on how this film has cemented their friendship better was so tonally off from the rest of conversation.
BR comes from such a different background (social, cultural, economic, even linguistic) that you can literally hear the humungous effort he is making to sort of think / sound like them. He tries too hard to get them or atleast sound like he has got them. He thinks in English and is best left interacting with GVM, MR and the likes. If he's honest, he will probably out his hands up & admit that this wasn't HIS best orchestration of a discussion.

அப்படி நான் வியந்த ஒரு நிமிடம்,
விவசாயி தாத்தா வெளியில் benchil படுத்திருப்பாரு. நம்மை சோகமாக director direct செய்கிறார். பின் நம்மை உள் இருந்து "தாத்தா எந்திருக்க வேண்டும்" என்று ஆசை பட வைக்கிறார் .... அடுத்த நொடியே தாத்தா எழுந்து நகைச்சுவையா பேசி நம்மை சிரிக்க வைக்க,
ஒரு director, audience ah அழுகவும் வைத்து, சிரிக்கவும் வைத்து, சிந்திக்கவும் வைத்து, direction என்ற கலைக்கு பெருமை சேர்த்து விட்டார்.

'கடைசி விவசாயி' திரைப்படம், யாகம் தந்த ஆகுதியில் முக்கியமான திரைப்படம். அத்திரைப்படம் குறித்து, மணிகண்டனும் விஜய் சேதுபதியும்.
Siddhar can change anyone life in a second. Ramaya has feed the Siddhar and Ramaya past karma come to an end. That action as you said Siddhar has no partiality, some Siddhar doesn’t beg and eat, at the same time Siddhar appreciate the kind character of Ramaya and he has cleared past Karma as a representation he gave Thiruneer, no only for Ramaya but also salvation for the soul which commit suicide, after the Siddhar put Thiruneer on his forehead now Ramaya attains the Siddhar level now he can give peace to the other soul.
