Saw the Miami commitment coming. He was ready to move on, and Georgia was ready to move on. We thought he was headed to the draft, but this season hurt his stock. That stretch of interceptions cost him, but he still led the SEC in TDs. He won't have the help at Miami that Cam Ward had. He can't raise his stock, but he can hurt it. At some point, if you want to play in the NFL...you have to go the NFL. Even as a day 2 pick.
As for Stockton, we don't know what he can do because every receiver at Georgia dropped every pass. That ND game had so many brutal drops, especially the wide open Bell one. Let's see how he does with real receivers and a run game.

Beck was looking at Day3+ in the draft and he would make less as 3rd/4th round QB in the NFL than what Miami is offering him for 1 year. Simple MATH... Make more money at Miami than NFL's 1st year. Boost his stats playing for Miami/ACC and then go to the NFL in the draft earlier Day1/2 next NFL cycle. This is exactly what Cam Ward did with Miami (4th round draft to 1st round be waiting a year). Also, Beck's lifestyle is a better fit in Miami and his GF is there. This is one of the easiest decision to make.

Y'all gone soft. UGA and Bama have fallen badly, Bama probably permanent. It shows.

@@doctordetroit4339 That's cute. We go 12-2 and don't win the natty and you call is soft. This team will play yours anytime and anywhere. That kind of thinking is why we've been on top so long.

I heard Carson got 6.5 million deal with Miami… also Georgia wr core led the sec in drops and had some of most in the country… wasn’t all on Beck

2:30 they absolutely wouldn’t at this point. Stockton looked better against ND than Beck did most of the year. No reason to fork over $4M for a QB that throws 3 picks when he plays a good defense.

Do the MATH and everything becomes Crystal Clear... (1) Beck is walking away from Bobo, not away from Georgia, (2) Georgia led the SEC and the nation in dropped balls, that hurt Beck's stats and NFL draft stock ($5 Million+ to less than $2 million), (3) Miami offers more NIL money than what Beck could make as 1st year QB in the NFL, (4) Miami has great WR/RB bench that Beck could throw to to boost his NFL draft stock for next year (like how Cam Ward did for 1 year at Miami), (5) Beck's GF is at Miami, (6) Georgia would not match Miami's NIL deal for Beck - why would we do that for an injured arm that is TBD? (7) Gunner can do the job and the players prefer Gunner over Beck in leadership/Junkyard Dawg energy. This is a WIN-WIN situation. Miami will be a better fit for Beck's Lambo/Louis Vuitton life style and Gunner is a better fit for Athens.

Arguably best o line in the country
Turned cam from a 4th rounder to #1 overall pick
Miami has miles better wr core

Good move for Carson he just needed a fresh start, lots of whispers from UGA fan base that Beck wasn’t good enough or the backup was better so why not leave and get a change of scenery.
The obvious is living in Athens vs living in Miami with no state tax is a no brainer, been to both cities, couldn’t pay me to live in Athens the epitome of nothing to do.
Win Win Win, UGa can move forward with a younger Gunner(likely) Miami gets an experienced big game QB & Beck gets more money and a fresh start.
When Gunner flames out I’ll look forward to the UGA fans who instantly bash him, it’s a matter of time.

Last years “Well Cam Ward fumbles all the time…he’s not all that”. Is 2025’s “yeah UGA didn’t want Beck…he’s not Cam Ward!” The people in their feelings because Miami gets people is hilarious.

The staff probably told him that they’re having an open camp for the QB job and he didn’t want to compete. His draft stock is in the tank and he can’t reasonably ask for more or even the same NIL money from UGA after this season. He had to go.

Man, the hate that Beck is getting for committing to Miami is wild!! 😆 All I keep hearing mostly is how he wasn't that guy and he's not a franchise guy, etc. We heard the exact same thing about Ward coming out of WSU. How he had a high turnover rate, etc. Ya'll don't seem to think about what goes into things such as turnovers, etc.
Beck, just like Ward, will have a better O-line in front of him. He'll have a better WR room to work with, he'll have more time to throw the ball and do his reads and checkdowns, etc. Miami had the number 1# offense in college football this season. The only reason they didn't finish and get into the playoffs is because of that terrible defense of theirs. If Beck can come in and perform even close to what Ward put up, he'll go in the first round of the draft just like Ward is about to.
