The anime is AMAZING. Manga is LEGENDARY. So if you want s3 go read the manga. Trust me, as someone who hated all manga and didnt find joy in it, after reading Gate because I wanted to continue it, I loved it. It has such great and clean details and cut stuff from anime you wont even notice you already saw the anime.
