Thanks - great video, for any others out there I was able to enable Developer Mode using Carista Evo. Always a little nerve wracking doing these sort of updates so seeing ti work for real really helps. Mine was 2018 Skoda Octavia Amundsen system.
You can additionally install extended green menu GEM. Just keep the same SD card in the slot and select dedicated option in GEM. You will be surprised how much extra configuration options is added in.
Could somebody please give me some advise/help? I have the mst2_eu_vw_zr_P0137T installed, but want to be able to install Toolbox so that I can use a map on a custom SD card. I tried to install Toolbox without firmware update with the solution to replace the cpu folder from GEM folder with the one in the root of the SD card so that the root CPU folder is replaced with the GEM folder version. After 10 attempts it keeps saying: start electric test. Mainunit/version compare. Accept this error code leads to restart(translated from Dutch). What should I do to make it work? I hope it will be possible.

I get into service mode, but I can't get into green mode when I press and hold to select toolbox. You hear a “bing” sound, but you can’t see any more or anything different than before in service mode 4:03
@@matthewjohnston7932 developer mode is not active, you need odbeleven to activate it and then you can go to the green menu. i did it with all the help of the videos of mrfix
so the toolbox can only be installed on units having the navigation button? got VW Polo 2015 6C part number 3Q0035819A (MIB2) and software train MST2_EU_VW_ZR_PO254T. Ive seen videos of people unlocked car play on a unit without nav button (dated years ago) and starting to figure out what information is out there.

Hello Mr-Fix. I just want to thank you for the great videos and the information you provide. It has been a great help. I had my Octavia for six years and the smart link was disabled from factory. I even considered paying £150 to the dealer to install the codes, if I could find a dealer to do it. Thanks to you I have enabled CarPlay only to find that I have to change the usb socket.
The instructions mention a different procedure for certain versions of the green engineering menu. Does that mean you first need to activate the green engineering menu before you do this? Watching the other video that uses OBDEleven which I don't have. Just checking to see if I need that first.
I couldn’t get it to read release information error when trying to install on my 0254T. I ended using a 128GB SD formatting to exFAT and it worked. Make sure you use latest release. Also remember and read about the GEM incase you need to replace cpu folder.

I have downloaded the 0.7 File from the description, extracted and removed the cpu file and replaced with the toolbox gem cpu file as my system says its gem 3.5, however it does come up as update for sd card on stereo, just reads and wont let me update. Hi, I have 5Q 0 035 874A. Can toolbox help me with intermittent boot loops when starting the journey? Once it overcomes the boot loop, it’s stable. It takes up to 20 minutes to start operating in my Octavia MK3. Someone has unlocked CarPlay for me but the problem didn’t occur immediately after, so I believe that is unrelated. It has the latest software train. Any advice?

1556 error should not be present with installation of latest version. It was a fileversion inconsitency with old installtion. It is fixable tho. 1555 or SVM Error is also fixable with XOR claculator and some diagnostic software. Good explanation and that you listed everything and not want to stell this toolbox :-) BTW: If you run the build in update script from the menu your old menu entry should be deleted ;-)

What you did is really great, thank you for your efforts. My car is a 2015 Jetta. It is made by Technisat and has the version MST_EU-VW_PQ_P0240T. Inspired by another video, I upgraded the version to 253T to see if a feature was added. I activated the green menu with vcds and loaded the mib2 toolbox to the sd card. It recognizes the sd, shows the software version, I click on it and it opens, but the start box at the top is not active. Where am I making a mistake, is it not accepting the 253 version? I wanted to go back to 245, but it won't accept that either. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Hi, I got a 3Q0035842C with GEM 4.11t. The SW train version is MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0472T. it recognises MIBStd2_Online_Approval(V432-1) from SD card but the start button is not highlighted. I have cpuplus where you have cpu and in front of cpu you have Y and I have N/A. am I doing something wrong? Is it because it only has one SD card slot? This unit is MIB STD2 ZR +/NAV and current software version is H29.319.58_STD2Plus_EU

I have the same MIB2 with the same firmware MST2_EU_VW_ZR_ PO245T So, for now, I activated developer mod with VCDS, and without instal toolbox, when I press MENU butoon 10sec, I get a green screen but not a toolbox option. So something I makes ok. 😂 Now, today, I try updating new firmware for him. The last number is 0254, but he can't recognise the file on a micro card. After the Toolbox installation do you have to keep SD card in the slot permanently or can you remove it? Also if you remove it after installation is complete would it effect the stereo. Thanks

You're installing the Technisat toolbox on a Delphi system. (D on the end of your firmware is for Delphi).

Tried this and didn't work unfortunately and it is a tecknisat mib2 unit but no engineering mode comes up at all.

Yes, developer mode needs to be enabled in order to access GEM.

1556 error should not be present with installation of latest version. It was a fileversion inconsitency with old installtion. It is fixable tho.
1555 or SVM Error is also fixable with XOR claculator and some diagnostic software.

What you did is really great, thank you for your efforts. My car is a 2015 Jetta. It is made by Technisat and has the version MST_EU-VW_PQ_P0240T. Inspired by another video, I upgraded the version to 253T to see if a feature was added. I activated the green menu with vcds and loaded the mib2 toolbox to the sd card. It recognizes the sd, shows the software version, I click on it and it opens, but the start box at the top is not active. Where am I making a mistake, is it not accepting the 253 version? I wanted to go back to 245, but it won't accept that either. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

I made everything as described but my screen keep rebooting and rebooting. After 30mn i had to stop... But even the key out of the car, the screen was still rebooting and rebooting, i had to remove the fuse ... I've no access to nothing, what can i do to reboot it ?

if your unit have GEM in version 3.4 or 3.5, replace the \cpu folder with the one from \toolbox\gem\cpu.

Hi, I got a 3Q0035842C with GEM 4.11t. The SW train version is MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0472T. it recognises MIBStd2_Online_Approval(V432-1) from SD card but the start button is not highlighted. I have cpuplus where you have cpu and in front of cpu you have Y and I have N/A. am I doing something wrong? Is it because it only has one SD card slot? This unit is MIB STD2 ZR +/NAV and current software version is H29.319.58_STD2Plus_EU

So, for now, I activated developer mod with VCDS, and without instal toolbox, when I press MENU butoon 10sec, I get a green screen but not a toolbox option.

Now, today, I try updating new firmware for him. The last number is 0254, but he can't recognise the file on a micro card. So, do I need a toolbox for this to turn off something before installing new firmware and then after I unlock the app conect?

I have the mst2_eu_vw_zr_P0137T installed, but want to be able to install Toolbox so that I can use a map on a custom SD card.
I tried to install Toolbox without firmware update with the solution to replace the cpu folder from GEM folder with the one in the root of the SD card so that the root CPU folder is replaced with the GEM folder version. After 10 attempts it keeps saying: start electric test. Mainunit/version compare. Accept this error code leads to restart(translated from Dutch).
What should I do to make it work? I hope it will be possible.

No, there’s no toolbox for Delphi. But there’s SD activator for it. Check MIB-Helper.com

After the Toolbox installation do you have to keep SD card in the slot permanently or can you remove it?
Also if you remove it after installation is complete would it effect the stereo.
