New subscriber here. I recently bought a C40 because of the reputation as a starter guitar, and for the money it seems great. I have a question about the action. Mine had about 6mm at the 12th fret 6th string, which is quite high. I sanded the saddle and filed the nut slots enough to get it to around 4mm, but would love to have it quite a bit lower. I was watching your review of a Cordoba F7 Paco from a couple of years ago, and wonder if you have any thoughts on comparison between the two guitars? Do you still have the Paco? Have you ever measured the action on the C40 or the Paco? I live in Ecuador where the selection of brand name guitars is very limited, so I would very much welcome your comments. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and subscribing. The C40 and the Paco cannot be compared. They are too different. To begin with, there is a $500 difference. If you ever have a chance to own a Paco F7, you will not be disappointed. It was one of the most comfortable guitars I have ever played, without sacrificing the quality of the sound. I can’t say enough good things about the F7. A wonderful instrument for the money. I no longer have the Paco. I sold it since. Too many guitars around here.
The C40II is a newer model. I like the older ones better, but the newer models are great, too. I have two of those on my classroom. The one in the video is a C40 II.
In the whole TH-cam there are only 4 videos who do justice to this guitar. This one is one of them. Thanks, gentleman.
@@johnlay3040 Thank you for watching and thank you for your kind words.
Nicely done, Florentin! The C40 is one of the best starter guitars. Nice demo and I liked the matching background.
Thank you very much
