I’ve had the jib one and head plus with the focus module for a couple months now and can’t say I’ve had issues. The footage I’ve taken has been phenomenal.
I received my Edelkrone SliderONE V2 and the HeadONE today and I was so worried about it after seeing this video. Having said that mine is buttery smooth. Couldn't be more satisfied with it. I'm running a 90D and Sigma Art 18-35mm F1.8. I doubt I could even replicate some of the footage here. I'm wondering if some of the units are just faulty. Just a thought.
@@BMSWEB I really think that it depends on a lot of things. I had in total 6 headone and two sliderone v2 and I have been able to get great footage out of it but not consistent and not really for macro... And I have had amazing results using the Moza Slypod and the Zeapon micro 2... So yeah I think that once I add a headone with the sliderone then things starts to shake a lot internally. But i'm glad to hear that yours is giving you great shots ! If you want to send me some raw macro samples on my email i would love to do a follow up video. duncansreview@gmail.com
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Wow 6 months for a reply lol I don't have much footage uploaded with it, however here is one video when I just got it, Pretty much all of it is macro product shots. th-cam.com/video/RBlKoQBPZqA/w-d-xo.html first shot is at 10 second mark, followed by shots from the 23 second mark (all close up macro shots). No attempt was made to get spectacular shots or anything, just a quick video. What I've learned since using it in that video is to make sure the whole setup has reasonable balance when mounted together. I'm not in anyway claiming the video is amazing or anything but having said that the whole setup has totally exceeded my expectation for ease of use and shots I've been able to get. The only time I've got a shot I wasn't happy about was on one occasion where my shutter speed was way too high and I had no ND filter so I had to just live with it, but that was also true for all the hand held shots that day.
well your message wasn't intended for me or at least I wasn't tagged so I never got the notification :) I will check out your video when I get the chance ! I like getting feedbacks for all users. Did you apply any post stabilization i your videos ?
You need to nodal align your sensor to the Edelkrone. The jerking is your sensor catching up to the pan because it's change position to quickly. This happens with all pan and tilt devices unless your sensor or film back has nodal alignment. One downside to Edelkrone making complex operations simple is you still need to understand how your camera works.
Mutiny Films yeah I am more aware of it now. and I did a bunch of new tests with the new products that they sent me (upgraded version) and it works better but still getting weird wobbles and tiny stutters even at low speed...
Duncan Dimanche this is a problem with cmos sensors in general even on manual devices with zero backlash. It’s amplified by devices that have backlash in the gears. There is a formula for speed of camera moves based on frame rate for all cameras even film. Using a global shutter camera eliminates a lot of these problems but nodal alignment is the usual suspect. If it’s not aligned It makes the image jerk as the camera moves. I was a director of photography and moved into robotics with computer vision to make computer vision camera cranes. Now I am dealing with the same problems on autonomous ground vehicles and quadruped robots. The problems with cmos rolling shutter are many. Switching to a global shutter helps dramatically with the jerking and skew. If the camera is mounted solid and you can’t move it around a lot before it engages a gear you should be able to remove those problems. If there is backlash in the gears it’s all on Edelkrone.
I so happy to see someone say the truth. I just bought the same bundle as yours last week. Oh my god, the sound almost as loud as the Ferrari or plane’ engine. I will be more than happy to send you the some videos during I made the test. It’s even just record by iPhone, the sound is amazing......
This is very sad to read. Are you going to send the products back? It took them 9 months to send me upgrades. During that time, they sent units to other TH-camrs for free. 😡
You sir are correct. However, there are a few things that are out of edelkrones control that could effect your results. Before I start, I 100% agree with there being jitter at start and stop, constantly, on any settings. I think edelkrone just oversold the amount of weight these things can handle. Depending on your version of the products you need to 1) make sure that it is evenly balanced. Again this comes down to them over selling how much weight it can handle, try a lighter more evenly distributed setup. 2) make sure that you are on solid ground. 2nd story of your house is not solid ground, solid ground I mean soil or concrete. It sucks but I notice when i'm up stairs, my edelkrone products shake like no other with any vibration coming from anywhere up stairs. 3) use sequencer - you cannot and will not get smooth shots just setting poses, it's impossible. to reduce jitter, make sure you're in sequencer. So those are the things out of edelkrones control right. Now onto the jitters. What i've learned to do is to not only shoot in slow motion (4k/60 or 4k/120) but I'll purposely start my motion way before and way after the shot that I want because the ease function sucks. What I end up doing is hoping that in between there I have some sort of usable shot and let it repeat several times and hopefully have something usable. ---- In summary their products are overpriced, over hyped, don't hold as much weight as they say and if you watched any reviews or tutorials or anything from them you'll know that the speed is not that fast. Their sliders are decent, but the jib, oh my the jib is bad. I can't get the thing to do a pan up to save my life it just errors out, but it will do the down motion no problem. The motors just aren't strong enough. And just to clarify I purchased all of their stuff, over 4k worth of their crap but i'll make due with it for now i guess.
You sir make some very good points ! And I am aware now that there are tons of things that are out of edelkrone's hands. I can even add that motion blur from panning too fast can be a problem for some focal length. My quick answer to your beautiful and insightful comment is this : I have used other sliders slypod and the zeapon with great success in fact with his upon I've done some extreme macro shots that were super super smooth beyond what I had imagine I could do one to one ratio macro. You can check out my review on it. So i have been able to set myself up in great conditions to create super smooth motion shots using sliders. I think that if I was getting the same jitters with EVERY SLIDERS that I used I would start questioning myself a bit more haha. I have tried the ifootage shark nano for example and it is soooo bad ! the jitters are insane. But back to Edelkrone and their marketing... when I see that they do macro shots with the camera extended on their tilthead it makes me cringe with anger. Cause like you said you do need to balance your setup properly. And to be fair I tried my pocket4k and sigma 18-35 on it and it couldn't even tilt on the tiltkit with two headones but I don't think I even thought about balancing it. Anyway I am now looking forward to the Zeapon panning head system but my hopes are very very low at this time.... #losthope oh yeah that Jib... I really want to try it haha
I get what you are saying and I agree that the footage looks shaky but it some examples it looks like a problem with mismatched frame rates as the jitter/jumping is regular not random. What you need to remember is that this is the least expensive motion control system on the market not designed for professional studio macro application but a quick "epic" establishing shot, timelapse, or quick b-roll that the vast majority of viewers won't see anything wrong with. Still a shame that they can't get this sorted out, was thinking of buying it but won't now.
Kornel Flint I agree with you. My only problem is the way they advertise it... They are showing macro shots and very complex motion shots using the two heads and the tiltkit which in reality just doesn't yield good results. and yes mismatch framerates is a problem that I am more aware of now and I did a bunch of new tests but yeah it's still very unreliable...
Mine is judders pretty bad. In fact, thee seems to be a "jerk spot" about 70% on one side that will studder every time it's passed. What you can do,...if you have a Sony,...is uses the post gyro data stabilization using the Sony catalyst software. When you software stabilize it it Sony,..the do a second pass with your NLE stabilization, you can fix 99.9% of it in post. It's a lot of extra work but it will clean up all that judder.
You are completely right. I have the head one the slider one and the slider plus long. They have microjitters and specially when they stop. For the price they are selling now (before they were much cheaper so you could compromise) I would go with gimbals. More reliable and smoother.
I was literally about to click buy on Amazon until I went to TH-cam. I’ve watched about 8 videos and yours and Gerald undone just saved me like $4000. Thanks.
haha jesus !! They have been releasing new products thought hat I haven't tested but yeah... I'm gonna stay away from them for a bit now. I got the i-footage shark nano which seems awesome for now
This man is speaking the truth. I am extremely surprised with so many positive reviews out there and I was disappointed with the result as I have bought both original sliderOne and head one. If you guys can see the jitters and think it’s okay, more power to you. But some of us work for paid clients and there are many perfectionist artist out there (both clients and freelancers) and this could potentially just increase a lot of workload. I don’t want to completely bash edelkrone , minute precision control is hard but false advertising is just not right. If they were presented jerky, and they were cheaper and targeted towards casual artist/creator who just want to get good shots briefly, then I guess it’s fine. But advertising right now and flooded sponsored reviews is just plain wrong. Will I still use their product? YES and be fully aware what I am up against. When I get the time to keep repeating the same shots 10-15 times until getting perfect one, sure why not...I’ll do it. But the effort for such trial and error is not appreciated. Will I recommend it to friends? Also yes but I will show them this video and tell them what they are going to experience and if they are okay with that, I won’t stop them from buying. Cuz it is almost the best thing out there for what it does but just not perfect. -- I have shown Edelkrone and emailed them about the jerkiness and they said something like “our product is not meant for macro shots” and also asked me to use lens stabilisation or editing software stabilisation. -- Thank you for honest review and it’s sad to see how little view this has, but those who have seen it are very lucky people who have dug deep into the reviews. I literally searched “Edelkrone sucks” to find your videos and I will remember to do such search for any product in the future so that I can also listen to the other side of the story before buying a product. Even though I already bought my product , I still thank you for providing such honest video content.
XeroNera hello there ! and thanks for your feedback ! you have nailed it ! some can achieve great results after doing the same motion over and over until one has less jitter than the last one :( and I also am still using it (but not the tilt shift kit) for my youtube content or if it's paid job then I only use it when I can set it up at home with all the time I need
Thanks guys, maybe a few years late, but I finally realize it wasn't me being bad about slider. The SliderOne v1 was just not that good anyway. Now I could consider starting the slider game.
Hi Duncan! I just saw this film, I actually just posted a film about this too as I kept getting questions about shake 🔥 I've been using the SliderONE v2 and HeadONE for quite a while, as well as the SliderONE PRO v2. Now and then I have slight jitters depending on my camera setup, though I haven't found a slider that I don't have micro jitters with, if you watch the film you'll see the Rhino is even worse in some cases. I find using larger front heavy lenses puts pressure on the motor/s and creates shake, but most of the time it's okay. I also made another film on how the SliderONE drops when sliding vertical, it can't handle the a7III, 24-70GM and HeadONE, which are within the 2.3kg weight limit stated by Edelkrone. There are a few things that annoy me, such as I can't press a button on the app to straighten the HeadONE on the slider, that drives me mad. Anyway, thanks for the film, I hope things get better with time.
Phillip Skraba thanks man I will check out your video. and yes the setup does matter a lot and the tripod used. I'm surprised about the drop in vertical though ! it clearly cannot take heavier cameras without struggling. i tried my blackmagic with the sigma 18-35 with the tilt kit and it just could not physically tilt up and down... i hope that the next generation with work like a charme
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Yes, the setup is super important here, and of course a very stable metal tripod. The vertical drop freaks me out everytime on the SliderONE v2, you can see it in the "honest review" I did. The SliderONE PRO v2 does not have this problem however. It's odd Edelkrone states such weights when it can't carry them. The tilt kit can hold 3.1kg, you can see in my review the HeadONE motor gives in when tilting my setup. Well, if there is a v3 I hope they do a free exchange program like they did with the v1 🔥
Thank you so much for this honest review! I was a bit confused of why it so hard to find here a non-promo videos, full of just sweety wows describing their HeadOne device. I wonder, have they improved their HeadOne unit in a current v2 version regarding those issues you've metioned in this review? Based on website description, moving speed was increased twice. Also their app have that "soft stop slider" - have you tried to play with those settings? I've saved $200 after reading your suggestions here in the comments about Zeapon as an better alternative. Currently i need a tilt only mechanism for my footage, going with edelkrone could cost me $399+139+49 plus shipping (with case and tilt adapter) for just one unit. I've bought an entire pan + tilt assembly PD-E1 from Zeapon for $378 + $40 for case with free shipping from Aliexpress just a few minutes ago... Same edelkrone setup could cost me $798+139+49+49.
yeah I hope that you like them ! I have the zeapon pons and they work fine but for macro they are not amazing (but much better than the edelkron setup for sure
Great review, was close to pulling the trigger a few months ago myself. I'm after a manual slider to use with my fluid head. Despite what we both think about Edelkrone, do you think the manual sliders they produce are worth the investment? The simplicity, lifetime cover and upgrade schemes really appeal to me. I've been looking at the shortest slider they do with a steady module. Still pricey, but in my budget. Can you recommend an alternative or do you think its worth a try? Thanks
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview thanks for the reply! Budget wise, we don't really have one as it will be used for a wide range of shots as well as across multiple people. We arnt looking for a motorised system at this time do to transportation and space. Simply just a solid slider, with some sort of dampening. A traditional flywheel could work, but we feel edelkrone has nailed the steady module system. Its compact and allows us to use a fluid head in conjunction. Just wondered if you'd ever experienced their sliders in this form? Thanks
Using the Jibone with two headones and a tiltkit, as well as a pan pro. No jitter at all. I've seen people have jitter issues but in list cases the Jib was not properly balanced.
I haven't used the Jib so I can't comment on it but I have seen a lot of people complaining about the moves being limited and not very stable.... I would love to see some samples of your setup
I haven't used the Slider One so can't speak to that. I have the Slider plus and Head Plus fully kitted out and am very impressed with the footage generated creamy, silky smooth (and I'm a total neophyte). Are you applying a broad brush to all Edelkrone products or specifically just the slider one?
Sooke's Home Team the headplus is a whole different game than the headone combo with the tilt kit. I'm actually fairly satisfied with the sliderone v2 (ish) but it's the combination of the headone and sliderone that is at time terrible. and when adding the tiltkit then the setup becomes very unusable... i hope that my answer was clear lol
Wow amazing I was almost duped. I saw a reviewer saying that it made professional camera robots obsolete (ridiculous). Have you tested the new systems? V5 pro and pan pro? Do they still have jitter problems and do they actually handle the weight they advertise?
hi there. I do believe that you can get great results with their products but not the way they advertise them... haha if that makes sense And I don't think that I will review their last product cause I would need to buy it... unless they decide to send me one but I don't think that they will... for a very obvious reasons haha (called honesty) And slider videos don't really attract enough views for me to be testing out every systems... I just got the ifootage shark nano that i need to review
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview okay thanks. Yeah I've checked other reviews and the system seems like it's made for amateurs. I Mean no off button and you have to do everything with an app and always need internet connection, that's not gonna work on a real shoot. Sorry edelkrone, it's the truth. Both edelkrone and arc 2 are lacking. There's a reason real professional productions use Bolt and similar systems, when you have clients and a tight schedule you can't be waiting on internet or Bluetooth connection issues. The client is paying you hundreds of dollars an hour, they don't wanna wait.
Thanks for the insights. Been trying to dig TH-cam and forums about discussions of users about Edelkrone and if there are problems but so far most TH-cam reviews are sponsored or the reviewer just can't be bothered to focus-in on the details. I've recently been considering automated camera gear since I lost control of my arm due to a stroke and with prices of Edelkrone in my country easily going for twice the cost in the US, its not something I want to blindly invest in. I like to keep things nicely "as-shot" and use them as they but these problems are really concerning.
I think you're absolutely correct. Given that Edelkrone units cost so much, they should be vastly better than what they are. Your video popping up is quite timely in fact as Edelkrone just released their JibONE and, not surprisingly, around half a dozen well know TH-camrs were touting the product, including the HeadONE. Every video I watched was as if they were all reading from the exact same script. I don't think these 'reviewers' even try to hide the fact that their reviews are not their own opinions anymore.
Cost vs performance was my main issue. TH-cam used to be a good source of unbiased product information, but as certain channels gained popularity, their credibility started to go down (in my view anyway). And unfortunately these channels tend to dominate TH-cam searches/recommendations, so that you can't find other voices so easily. Your channel just came up by happenstance.
One i would like to add is i think this is something that happens with all this type of systems, I find it very much perfect for timelapses but for the video work it is never usable at the start and end of the slider, But then again i didn't expect that. If u can carry 10 kg x speed, you can't stop 10kg instantly moving at x speed it physics. One little tip id like to share. I have used the system to move lights, and move subjects instead of moving the camera. It can help sometimes, but sometimes its too creative (as in does not look as intended)
Oussama El Guezbari yeah but if you saw the sample video of the timelapse of that french youtube, the footage are also super shaky. So yeah I don’t know if it was his error. And moving objects is pretty smart i will say ! Thanks for your input ;)
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Timelapse is not as easy as people think, flickering and shake is hard to avoid unless you go all in with heavy duty tripods and avoid the wind. so sometimes you want 10 sec ekstra off space in between of shots. takes a long time to do it right. I liked your video a lot though it defiantly has issues that the marketing does not show, but i do feel they are trying to actually make a product we can use. As I mentioned if you want we can do more testing together i got the headplus pro
@Oussama El Guezbari, what is your setup? I’m looking at the slider plus pro long 25” + slide module v2 + head plus (or hp pro) vs. rhinogear arc ii ultimate bundle. What has your real world experience been? I will use it mostly for video work. Thanks!
If only I watched your video a few moths ago I would probably have reconsidered buying the SliderOne v2 and the HeadOne. I am sitting here with the SliderOne v2 replacementunit they just sent me but with the same jitter issues as the first one I got. I am a bit dissapointed. Their support is super great though, but that does not help much if they have a faulty product in the first place. Thank you for the honest video, I have the same experience as you do with the equipment
yep you summed it up perfectly ! They have great support but faulty machines and misleading advertising I have the i-footage shark nano and same story and actually even worst at certain speed
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I was looking at the Shark Slider as well before I bought the SliderOne, but decided to go all in on a Edelkrone bundle because I had the impression that was the safest option when it comes to quality. Perhaps no sliders are perfect and we just have to live with it and fix the jittering in post? One thing I love about the Edelkrone though is the material quality and the compact design. It feels premium in the hand. But yeah, I cant hide being a bit dissapointed after spending almost 1000€ on it
@@agepbiz I have bought the ifootage shark nano and the jitters are terrible above a certain speed the best so far is the zeapon with the pons ! they works extremely well. i havent had time to do a review on them yet though.
Thanks for the video! I'm trying to get into youtube videos. At first I thought you was just bashing Edelkrone, but after reading the comments I see your not the only one having issues. I have seen like 10+ sponsored videos on their products and they all swear by it. After seeing this I will save my money and spend it on something else.
Thanks for your review. I think you saved me from a bunch of headaches and frustration. I have been watching all the positive reviews for the past two days on the Edelkrone Slider One v2 and I was just about to dump $1500 on a bundle. Have you found an alternative slider that works? I was impressed with Potato Jet's review and demo showing how you could synchronize two HeadONE's, and use one of them as a turntable for product shots. I am looking for an alternative system that can do this.
Kudos to you for making this, I've been lusting over the Edelkrone system ever since I saw it. I wanted this for product shots which would involve a decent amount of macro, I would be devastated if I picked up a kit and there was wobbles. You've 100% made me rethink this, I'm going to dive into the Rhino Arc II reviews now. It's fairly more expensive but if it's going to do the job then I guess you need to pay more for quality. Feel sorry for your purchase here, thanks again for keeping it real.
Duncan Dimanche Lol honestly after seeing this and doing a couple hours more research. I’m kind of inclined to get a cheap one off amazon for around $200. They don’t do pan tilt generally but a guy attached the slider to his fluid head tripod and did a slow pan manually and the results were very usable. At least this way I’m only out of pocket a couple hundred and I know what to expect. I would be heartbroken spending 1500 plus on something that isn’t a+ perfection.... which this hardly seems like. I think the head plus version is better than connecting two head ones but still, not a great look for them and it’s still 5-6x the cost of cheap ones
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Hold on a second. You're basically saying that you're going to be unhappy with everything you review because nothing will perform as well as something that the average person can not afford, isn't that right?
Edelkrone could watch this video to improve its products. It is okay to make mistakes, but there is something very wrong with hiding them. I was watching several reviews to decide whether to buy the sliderone v2 with a headphone or not, but now I will have to evaluate it better. The question that remains is: what alternative for Edelkrone?
Thanks for the info - I was about to bid on a headone for a turntable to shoot food rotating, I guessed it would be superior to the bog standard Amazon turntables. But you've made me think again. I know Daniel Shiffer used the headone for this purpose.
I think that their heads for turntables are ok. I used them a lot until i nought a zeapon PONs which I do like better cause of their manual control and cheaper price tag
Oh nooo. I watched sooo many (really promising) reviews and ordered it today. Now I found your one and I'm quite worried. But at least I know, I have to test it right away an send it back immediatly, if these problems still occur. Thanks for your honesty! That could save me a lot of money. :)
Hi Duncan. I have a sliderone v2 and I thought about purchasing a headone, but after your video, I doubted. As I understand it, I don't have much options, I like the slider, everything is fine with it. The only question is, how bad is everything with headone? Does it work well apart from the slider? Or only in a bunch? At what focal lengths and at what speed does the jitter disappear (or is invisible) or is it always present? Thanks in advance for your reply
you know it's a tough call on that one cause jitters can occur for a lot of reasons. the gimbal the headone the speed at which you pan the tripod you use how close you are focusing the focal length so all that adds can add up to a messy mess of jitters. I haven't had great luck using the sliderone + 1 headone. I've managed to get some decent shots but not consistently... But you can always test it out and return it if it really does not work well for you. ifootage shark has a new slider with an integrated head for panning that seems to be really good. I reached out to them asking to do a review for them but they refused to send me a unit to test so i will eventually have to buy one to test it out but it's 600$ :(
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I understand, but if you remove all extraneous factors, the head itself will work smoothly, or is there any movement in its movement that causes jitter? In any case, thanks for the answer, I will think. I like the slider, I don’t want to give it back)
Great video and I share your frustration. I own the Slider Plus Pro and Headplus with focus module and in my opinion the only thing that works as it should is the slider - but only if placed on a flat surface and used manually without the motor. On a tripod the thing becomes much to shaky for any serious work if you put anything heavier than a pound on it (a bmpcc 6k with any lens in my case). Another dealbreaker is the Focus module - if you think that the head or slider modules are jittery, try the focus module! It packs so much torque that even by repeatedly calibrating that sucker it still shakes the whole setup while engaging/shifting focus. Customer support is great and accommodating but even they say they cannot change the amount of torque that thing applies. That is, if this should be the cause of the problem... All in all - a lot of money wasted. I am just hoping for firmware updates to solve some of those issues...
BroadcastFreelance thanks for sharing man !!! I almost went with the bigger slider with the external motor ! Glad I didn’t ! I’m also waiting for a firmware of some sort but it might have sth to do with the internal of this setup :( It reallly is a shame. I’m gonna try the rhino one at 400$
"shakes the whole setup while engaging/shifting focus." okay I don't have the follow focus but I have seen the entire system shake. I have two headOnes and Sliderone v2 and SlidePlus Long. I don't feel its money wasted but I understand. I ask myself What's better out there?
Thank you for the honest review. Subscribed. I was looking into two head ones for multi-row panoramas and time lapses, mostly at night. Do you think the Head ones are good for that purpose? Do you have another suggestion for automated panorama and time lapses? Thank you so much.
Thanks for your kind message. I thought that I had found the perfect slider with the I-footage shark nano but it turns out to jitters so much past a certain speed and not even i macro mode. So I don't really know man... Zeapon just announced their HeadONE equivalent so we will see how good they are cause I really like their sliders
as for the multi m-row panorama I think that any system will do just fine cause you are not in motion during the photo... so that is not a huge challenge for the slider
Thank you for the suggestions. I have never hear of Zeapon. I will check it out. Ever try the syrp genie mini 2? That’s the other option I am considering. Or maybe I should just should shoot with a manual rig. 🤷🏻♂️
@@farzadtabatabai4933 I have own the old Syrup head but the app is terrible.. i can't even tell it to do a 360 turntable move. The zeapon and slypods are the best options these days the ifootage shark nano is terrible and they are soon refunding me for it
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview - Mais, c'est avec plaisir ! Have you found a better system? ...I am thinking about buying an old industrial robot from the car or computer chip industry and modifying it. ABB or something like that. What do you think?
I am actually looking into buying the head one at the moment. Thanks for the video! Did they fix the jitter issues with firmware updates? Is it possible to fix the jitters with in camera stabilization or at least stabilization in fcpx? Would love to get some insight before I buy it…
I would recommend the zeapon slider with their new pon heads ! it works super well and with no visible jitters so far with the few tests that I have done
I bought Edekrone recently . I also use this combination to jitter . But only left-to-right direction, if you glide from right to left, it will not shake . No jitter when using them alone. My camera is Sony a7iii.
same here - no matter what I complained... it was alsways unusual, Edelkrone said. They were nice to send me the updated version of the head one, but the screw changed and I cannot use my turntable anymore - the screws do not fit! I have sent them a video showing them that we had endless problems on a shoot to connect and with the massive jitters, but they didn´t solve it. You cannot rely on the system on a shoot. Maybe it works, but maybe not at all. We lost hours on different shoots and were frustrated spending thousands of Euros for that. Their ideas are great, the marketing too but every piece once a while shows some bugs. I hope this will get better soon
Pedro Hofmann amen brother ! you summed it up. two days ago the app would just not work and it would disconnect after 20 seconds of use everytime... just frustrating
Duncan, have you tried the Zeapon Micro 2? It seems to be a well built slider. They don't currently have a pan or tilt option but it is apparently coming.
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I like the Rhino. I need to take another look at it. Last time I checked I don't think they could control a turntable...which is something that I was interested in for doing product shots.
The company I work purchased an Edelkrone slider last year. Dropped a lot of cash for the motorized Slider Plus along with the Head Plus for pan/tilt. We bought it to use with our Sony A7s II camera. I got pretty smooth movement with the Head Plus but I was experiencing a ton of wobble with the slider that ended up having to be stabilized in post. I tried adjusting the tension on the slider motor but still had a ton of problems with wobble. I was wondering if I was the only one
We bought their products twice and had to sell them for cheap as they never worked properly. (no returns in my country). The last one was sliderone V1 and it sucked. I had all kinds of problems with it. Perhaps their later versions would be good eventually (I just realised they have the 3rd generation of sliderone now in 2years) so we will never buy their stuff again.
the Zeapon system has it all for me their pon (panning head) is really good too when only using one with the slider but when using it with both zeapon pons heads it's not the smoothest of them all... but better than Edelkron for sure
Not to discredit any of the concerns, because I totally get it. There are a lot of valid ones. The one I am a little confused about is the jitter issue. When I have jitter in my footage it’s because my pan speed and angle of panning is too fast for my shutter speed, sensor size, frame rate and focal length. So I use the Red Panning Speed Calculator to figure it out (link: www.red.com/panning-speed)... I always have to pan or slide SO much slower than I expect to, even with higher frame rates. Maybe the jitter is happening another way? But panning/slide speed has always been the main culprit of jittery footage for me.
Audio Hotline yeah I have done a few test with very slow speed and I could still see the jitters... it's uneven jotters and I could even hear the noise of the motors when that jitter occurred... but i understand that there is a speed to respect and I'll have a look at the red panning speed cal cheers ! ps i have the slypod and it seems to be doing a much better job so far
Duncan Dimanche dang! That’s too bad, I was really wanting to get a HeadOne thinking it would be a good pan option. Right now I just use my MOZA Air 2 gimbal to try and get some good pans but the HeadOne would just be so convenient if it worked the way it should. I actually just got a Slypod the other day and so far I am loving it! Thanks for the Vid and the Comment! It was helpful!
The Jitters/Judders are likely not due to the HeadOnes. It is likely the settings in your camera. I had the same issue when I initially set up my HeadOnes until I realized the judders were actually related to the camera settings that interfere with the video when panning and tilting.
I tried everything mate. changing the settings (50fps) slowing down the headone , having a stronger tripod amd then i bought the Zeapon micro 2 and my life changed... haha no more jitters amd I was able to do some intense macro shots with it without post image stabilizing So i understand that some settings will definitely change the way it operates but in the end It wasn't reliable enough for me. some shots would be decently smooth (but even that was a stretch) and some shots were just too shaky
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview In my case, I set my framerate to exactly half of the shutter speed and the jitters/judders immediately resolved. I initially had the camera set at 1/60 for shutter speed and 24 FPS but every video I made had the Jitters. I then researched it and learned that it was the settings in the camera and was advised to try adjust the framerate. Just by increasing the framerate from 24 to 30 immediately gave me smooth video and now I use my pan and tilt function on the HeadOnes with no issue. I guess the issue would now be that I can’t pan or tilt at 24 frames per second but I may not really need that for just brief shots of panning. If you still have the HeadOnes after all this time and you have not tried this, give it a try and maybe update us. If you tried it already then I’m not sure what it could be. There is some articles online that addresses Judders when panning and specific formulas to use in your settings to correct the issue but I didn’t go that far in using them since mine was a relatively easy fix. Whatever the case may be, you did a good job presenting the issue here.
@@parkside3236 Yes I shoot with the shutter being double of my frame rate and here in this part of the world we shoot at 25fps so the shutter was at 1/50th I was told to shoot at 50fps and a shutter at 1/100th and back then I also tried on the edelkrone but it did not help. My main issue was consistency with their system. I would get one smooth shot every now and then but most of the time I would get vibrations. The Zeapon completely changed and fixed that problem. An d yes having a big tripod or two even helps and the speed at which you can pan according to your angle is very important too and I had done some tests as well back then I have long sold the Edelkrone though But I think that if Edelkrone knew that their product could do what it advertised they would have sent me an other copy of it instead of getting this bad press
Just purchased Jib One before watching this video. It will arrive in 8 weeks and I really hope that these issues won't happen with this too. I love the idea of their products but if they aren't the step up for the game that they promise to be these things might be just really expensive toys... Cross your fingers for me.
the world according to Felix yeah the real issue is the fact that you are 💯 dependent on the app to make it work and the app crashes a bit so for paid jobs it can be a nightmare
Hey, are you using some kind of image stabilisation? Like IBIS or so? This jitter also happens for example when using a smartphone gimbal and the internal image stabilisation of the iPhone turned on
I tried with and without Ibis and i had different results every time... so yeah tough to tell if ibis works better. I would say it would help considering that it would take care of the micro jitters
I've owned Rhino Sliders with the ARC and currently own the iFootage Shark Mini with the X2 head and I can tell you that micro-jittering is a thing with ALL of them. I had ifootage send me a replacement X2 because it was so bad. To their credit they did. However, the second head still has some issues. Having said that, when I shoot 4k, on my 6500 with IBIS I don't notice it that much. I think in-camera stabilization helps this issue immensely. I also wonder if the Headplus PRO (with its higher payload capacity) would improve this. I'm considering getting an Edelkrone Headplus system just for its more robust app features. The iFootage is ok but not ideal. I understand where you are coming from but I have to perfectly smooth shots are pretty much impossible with anything less that a high-speed robot.
TheGentlemanWake yeah micro jitter is one thing. But promoting sth like the tilt kit as they do is a shame cause you really can’t do much with it due to heavy wobbling. I don’t know when a brand will be able to come up with a killer setup that actually works
TheGentlemanWake and yes I am sure the headplus is a better setup. The Rhino Arc ii seems like a very solid option. But it always does on paper. But as a more compact block it looks really promising
Jitter can be occour due to multiple reasons; Shutter speed Frame rate Pan speed Focal lenght Screen refresh rate(hertz) If you increase your frame rate you should increase shutter speed as well and that will allow you to make faster pans without jitter. If you use higher focal lenght you should slow your pan. And one of the most important thing is the frame rate and screen hertz combo. If you shoot videos in 24p and watch it through 60 hertz monitor you will see jitters. You should shoot minumum 30p even higher 60p(evenly dividable frame rate and hertz combo) and watch through 60hertz monitor. I experienced this 24p and 60hz combo in one my video shoot. I shoot 24p video and watched my regular 60p screen and there is ugly jitter. But when i watch the same video in night time through my samsung phone(samsung decrease screen hertz for low brightness settings) jitter went away. When i watch in my 60hz screen it comes back on. I believe problem didn't originated in slider, rather the setting and combination of different aspects.
Anıl Ağırdır hello there and thanks for your in depth message. I am aware of all those factors that can create jitters. but Now i shoot in 50fps to avoid the motion jitter and when I see jitters I really don't mean motion jitters. I really mean little stutters and jerky movements. I have received the Zeapon micro2 and it is one smooth motorized slider. I will do a side by side very soon. and yes at 50fps I raise my shutter speed to 1/100th of a second. I will post the results soon
Hey, i use it together with a gimbal. The gimbal takes away the jitter. These are very small devices and if you don’t use the internal ibis or an external device , I don’t think any slider is without jitter if u just connect the camera. That’s why they put so much effort in Dollie’s and fluid heads and that’s why the pro stuff is so expensive.
I wish I had seen this video years ago. I have wasted so much time battling with Edelkrone sliders - trying to get rid of the jitter. I originally bought the largest slider. It was jittery for everything but it was most noticeable on macro shots. I contacted Edelkrone and sent them samples of my footage. They said that amount of jitter was acceptable and if I wanted something smoother I needed to get the small desktop slider. So I did but had the same issues. Again I sent them sample footage and again they said that level of jitter was acceptable. Now I'm stuck with sliders that I don't use. I'm almost afraid to sell them on Ebay because they are inherently faulty.
arf !! that sucks !! do you wanna send me some samples ? cause there are a lot of things that can cause jitters and I'm learning that shooting in 50fps , slowing down the speed and having a really really stable tripod (two tripods in fact) ps I just bought the zeapon micro 2 and the pons thingy and they are very smooths ! especially compared to edelkrone
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview hey there. no it's ok thank you. I don't want to waste more time on the ekelkrone sliders. I'm actually always shooting time lapse - often with many minutes in between shots so there's even less of an excuse for jitter. Is there a full size slider that you recommend. I tried syrp and dynamic perception. I've had the most luck with the latter.
I just ordered the slider v2 before I saw this video. Have you seen any improvement with firmware updates since you made this video? Has Edelkrone made any improvements that you know of?
The slider alone is fine it seems (when the app does not bug...) But now that the ifootage Shark nano just came up with a motorized slider that has an integrated pan head for 500$ I think that the edlekrone doesn't have much for itself... I personally would send it back or try it first but if you want a pan head you will have to shell out and other 350$... and it's very noisy... and slow... I have the Zeapon micro 2 and i love it... so simple to use and the Ishark seems to be a hit as well !!
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview You keep telling people to go with the Shark Nano, but I think you are calling the horse before the race. It hasn't been released yet, the footage that's been shown of it has shown a variety of problems including it's own jitters, and it's being designed and changed as it goes along and very possibly hasn't been perfected at this point, when it is due out in May.
I liked the video. Thank you for putting this together. I know it’s tough to speak critically on a product publicly without being lambasted for not lauding a popular product. My question is what equivalent in cost and build quality is there? These products are far from perfect I don’t disagree (and hugely overpriced) but is there anything better?
DIGITALid thanks man ! I have two options for you ! I have since gotten the chance to try the Slypod E from Moza which works great and the form factor is interesting and handy at times. I just don't like the app that much. but they can/might improve that. the other slider that I am now IN LOVE with is the Zeapon micro2 with the motor ! sameish price but better in everyway (it's just heavier and bigger) but the travel distance is sth around 40-50cm vs 20cm for the edelkrone and it's much more quiet 🤫 not silent but better and they are coming up with a new head for panning ! i don't know when though
mine ? or other people's ? I did try with and without internal Stab but the results were the same.. i think that speed also has a big influence on the jitters
I own the product and have much of the same issues. I've grown to love it however it has all the issues you've detailed. I certainly only use it on a level surface and do my best to center the weight of my rig on it which reduces the issues however ultimately he's right. I'll shoot multiple shots at different speeds as that helps.
They should make an opensource software and be able to use your own computers, speed controllers, and motors to make it do what you want. It's something really simple if people cared. The DIY community for 3D printing and drone work is unbelievably Vast and well-developed. It's pretty crazy that this does not exist for film making but if something goes wrong, it can catch fire and the equipment gets broken.
Bought the Rhino (which also upgraded right after I bought it to the Arc II) but I’m happy with it... but I am tempted to get the JobONE for vertical shooting - not the HeadONE - just the basic one that keeps the camera stable. Wonder of that will have the same issues as the slider???
Duncan Dimanche Yup! And the high torque motor so I can do (modest) incline/decline shots... making the JobOne less necessary... for me... at this point. Arc II is awesome and (almost) worth the awesomely high price... but I could afford it’s superior sliding features (over EVO, which I wish I had waited for...)
How fast does it go at it's fastest speed? The Rhino slider is pretty fast. I'm on the fence between this one and that one. They both have pluses and minuses. This expandable slider doesn't seem like it would be sturdy and would topple over over time and break your camera.. Secondly the higher you mount it the more unstable it can be so how can you do high shots like you can if you use two tri pods with some of the other ones?....The Rhino slider has a face tracker which means it tracks a person as they move. Does the lazer in this one or that way or is it only for stationary?
George s Pogacich I'm not too familiar with the Rhino Arc but I also have read mixed reviews on it. For the speed I have made a video JUST showing the max speed of the edelkrone slider one alone and WITH A headone (which slows the whole slider down. you should check it out but by memory the sliderone v2 (not pro) travels from one end to the next in 16 seconds. once you add a headone it slows it down to 22 seconds (but double check those figures in my other video) called the real speed of the sliderone
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview That is unacceptably slow..The Rhino claims it can take a 25 pound camera and go 5 inches per second with little noise.... I saw it on a emo and know it's not sped up because there were two people in the video reacting and talking and they didn't look sped up.
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I was on another thread and a guy said he was having those bump issues and he returned it and they gave him one that works fine.. Do you think that maybe you got a lemon?
OMG!!!! I just received my SliderONE V2, HeadONE, and FLEXTlit Head 2 last two weeks ago, have filmed some close-up films, and found the same jitter issue~ I thought using a steady ball head like FLM CB-38 directly on the HeadONE might overcome the iitter issue of HeadONE, but haven't proved it yet. Then I watch your current video now!!!! What should I do to further lower the jitter of HeadONE??
I think that you should contact edelkrone cause they can help with making sure that everything is setup properly what gear are you using ? lens how close focused are you ? I would avoid the flextilt head for this type of setup for sure here are some stuff you can try: 1) you can start by shooting at 50fps even if you are not using the video in slow motion it will help 2) don't move too fast 3) try just the slider alone and see if you get jitters too 4) try just the headone alone and see if you get jitters 5) there are things that you can tweak to tighten or loosen the headone and the sliderone (ask edelkrone for that) try all that ;) let me know how it went
Thank you for the video. Got myself ifootage shark mini and I do have problem with pan and tilt head. The shop owner tells me that jerkiness and jitter is totally fine. It looks like there is no real solution on the market right now under 2000 euro.
Hi Duncan, I too have found that Edelkrone are a misleading garbage company. I recently purchased Brand New the SliderONE V2 + Headone + FlextTilt Head. The Slider seems to have a wobble and stutters / jitters when filming products (particularly bad on macro shots). I mounted it all correctly as per their demonstration videos and guide. The wobble is clearly visible when sliding and panning with the head one attached. This occurs on a predetermined path (so clearly not caused by user input jabbing at the controls). My total payload in 1.8kg, so it should be well under the 2.4kg. I watched youtuber PotatoJet put a Red Scarlet W + Manfrotto fluid head + mattebox + monitor + v-mount battery (total weight 15lb) and do the same shots I tried and he never once mentioned the wobble or stutter. My setup was on a Miller Compass 15 (safe payload of 10-12kg, so I was no where near any limit) with the Slider + Head is mounted. I'm using a Sony A7Sii with a metabones adaptor, and Canon 16-35mm L Mark ii and filmed a static object at 60cm distance at 35mm. Shutter was 1/50 at 25FPS in PAL region. I had set the slider in the middle and a very small movement of approx 15cm of travel. I had ease in / out set to the lowest / smoothest setting. And speed set at approx 80%. The app was fully up-to-date. I reached out to Edelkrone who told me "not to use the slider + head one for macro shots or close shots and to reduce the speed to 30-40% max". I said I bought that setup specifically film product shots as demonstrated over and over on their various product pages. They also told me to use warp stabiliser, but this won't fix the HeadOne stuttering. So I asked for a refund to which they shunned me and closed all my requests. I have not heard from Edelkrone since. I tried reviewing their products on their site and the promptly deleted all my reviews which were purely objectively written like this post here. Edelkrone are clearly misleading customers, hiring shills on youtube to lie about their products shortcomings. I am going to make a review and would really like to have your feedback included if possible. Please reach out to me via me email listed on my channel if you would like to help get this issue out there. Kind regards, Rod.
i tried to look for your email but could not find it... not sure how it works on youtube. but email me at duncansreview@gmail.com cause there are several things that you can do and should do to help with jitters... also look at my slypod E video... it's an amazing tool for macro shots
Thank you for taking the time to create the video, and to share it with us. I appreciate the unvarnished review before I drop hard earned coin. Cheers!
the Zeapon micro 2 has worked amazingly (other than a wheel breaking that i had to replace) their new zeapon micro 3 looks even better so that's the only brand that i can recommend (that i have tested)
What are your thoughts on the new jibone? Do you think it will suffer from the same problems? I saw a video of potato jet using it and his stuff looked great
Thanks for the video! I wonder why there are so many dislikes. I don't see any negative comments. Do you delete negative comments or people just dislike the video and keep silent?
Ilia Cinema hello there ! No i don't delete negative comments at all. Unless they are just hateful and very mean (and useless) I have a bit of negative comments on this video if you look well enough. But like you i was surprised that I didn't get more of them. But it just proves my point... a lot of people are agreeing with my points
Thanks for this video, i was leaning towards this over another system because i could configure it to be a little cheaper, but i dont think this is the way to go. Have you by chance looked into Rhino Arc system?
Tim no I haven't but I have tested the Zeapon micro2 and it is awesome ! check my latest video ! i did a video with some samples before doing a full review
Hi and thank you for sharing this video. I wanted to ask for a clarification. I only need pan and tilt for panoramic photography and not video. Would this be fine?
hi, I think that for photography it would be fine yes. But I don't know if the edelkrone app has a panoramic mode at all... Might wanna check out some other videos online for the best pan-tilt head for that type of photography
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview thanks.in fact in product description on their page it mentions Easy 360° photosphere mode as well as videos on TH-cam showing that it can be set to be doing multi row panoramas. Alternatives are gigapan pro (company discontinued but product available) and clauss rodeon (very expensive).
I know this video is a bit dated, but my experience with edelkrone is not the same as yours. I have most of the same gear as you have... heads and slider. I've owned my for about 5 or so years. Yes, my slider developed a bit of a hiccup, so I wrote them and they said they'd fix it. Sent it in ... they sent it back in a few days and it was fixed and works flawlessly. New main boards on my heads and sliders. Well after warranty expiration. They seem to be a great company focused on customer service. Give them a try.
it's good to hear from the other side also :) I have tried their new slider with new metal gears and heads as well... i had them all and unfortunately I wasn't really happy with the results (especially for that price) I have moved to the zeapon now and it works great. (it did break one of the wheel inside which took them forever to send me new ones and not for free (30$) but in terms of stability, ease of use, no need to have the app to operate it and its great macro capabilities I am very happy with it and it's cheaper than edelkrone
I bought the slider one a few years ago and I have not noticed any issues. I was shocked to realise that cannot loop the movements or record a specific movement without buying a head as well...
I just ordered the I-footage shark nano with its built in pan head ! unfortunately i am away and I cannot test it out before an other month or more. but all the reviews that I saw seemed great and honest (for the most part) and the price is super attractive
To be honest, I see jitter in just about every slider review that I have watched on TH-cam. Regardless of the brand or price. One reviewer claimed that the jitter is not actually from the slider, but rather an artifact of the TH-cam encoding process. I am curious to hear your thoughts on this.
Lazlo T I sent a long reply but it did not send !!!!! aaaaaahhh hahah to sum up 1) the problem with reviews online is that they don't tell us if they have applied some electronic stabilization in post... 2) the other thing that we need to take into consideration is the effect of motion jitter or motion jerkiness (not sure about the actual name) but this is cause when you pan too fast. and the speed at which you can pan without having this stutter motion. The focal length, the focusing distance and the speed you use can create this stuttering of the image... To be honest I have been able to get smooth footage with the edelkrone sliderone alone and also with ONE Headone NOT two... but it is still not perfect. I will make a follow up video cause I have been sent new slider and headones for replacement
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Thanks for your reply. Have you had any luck with this combo: SliderONE v2 connected to a single HeadONE...and a second HeadONE spinning a turntable?
Lazlo T sorry I never saw your reply ! yes this combo works ! and works pretty well in fact. but I have now used the zeapon micro 2 and it is amazingly smooth
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Yeah, the Zeapon micro 2 looks great and it's been getting good reviews. Zeapon claims that they will be releasing an option before the end of the year that will allow you to pan and tilt while sliding. I also see that Eldelkone released a new version of their pro slider...and a new motor a couple of weeks ago. I am tempted to buy it but right now I am working on a project that is all 3D animation (Maxwell Render and Redshift 3D) so I have not purchased any camera gear yet...but plan to in the next 3-4 months.
They need to fix the damn app. Mostly I can work around the jitters with IBIS and a stabilized lens, but the connectivity issues make the products impossible to take on set and hence, worthless.
I've used edelkrone for a while and it definitely has had its bugs and issues, but it seems like they've worked out a lot of the issues with firmware updates. I appreciate your honest review.
I haven't used it for timelapse but you can look at some samples that I grabbed from the french guy who did a review and it looked super shaky... So I can't really vouch on it for time-lapses.... And also on their website I don't find their time-lapses convincing
kisrokas yeah... being sponsored can be a bit tricky for sure. some companies are more open than others in what you can said/should say. but either way it's always hard to criticize a brand that sends you stuff for free. unless you are a HUGE name and don't give a crap ;)
I bought a complete ifootage shark slider mini kid (head and slider) and I had similar wobble and stuttering issues on all of the motors. I've heard the rhino arc ii setup works really well, but I haven't tried it myself.
If you want to know the arc2 problems from real users and not fake review from sponsors, join the arc2 Facebook group. That camera has more problems according to the users in that group as I was going to buy one. Not anymore. Seems like all products have problems even though they cost an arm and a leg to buy one.
The artifacting is called pan-judder and it will happen even when panning manually on a tripod - It's not caused by the slider itself, it's a limitation of cameras. Your movement is too fast. There are a lot of variables involved (sensor size, shutter speed, lens field of view, frame rate) that determine when judder shows up, but there are calculators you can use to figure out how slow to move. The general rule is that an object should take at least 7 seconds to cross the frame from left to right (or, you should take at least 7 seconds to slide one frame width). If you're filming a stationary object, you're better off setting your slider to extremely slow, then speed it up in the edit. Here's an article with info: www.premiumbeat.com/blog/cinematography-tip-capture-smooth-panning-shots-at-24fps/ - Take a look at the link to the "GH3 Panning Judder Test" and you'll see the same stuttery type of movement that was highlighted here.
The extra bumpiness in the start and end of the transitions sounds like it could be the motor, however. That's a separate issue and one that I hope Edelkrone addresses.
Thanks for your input. I am aware of the pan judder and I am always careful with the speed frame rate and shutter speed when using a slider. I have been able to get really smooth shots using the zeapon micro 2 for example so I know that I can achieve smooth results... I could never consistently do it on the Edelkrone...
there's no excuse for this problem but i wonder if IBIS and lens IS will help with the shake? it just seems like it can not handle the weight? PLUS its still a poor quality product that simply does not have smooth movement motors in the first place thank you for this video, saw a lot of ads on instagram and many other places, it looked interesting but after this video i know to avoid it 100%
Frost Visto i haven’t heard of it. I’ll look into it. But I’m afraid that it might be the same or worst but who knows. Someone might come up with the magical formula
Hi Duncan, Liked and subbed! Looking at the Rhino Arc II ultimate bundle vs. Edelkrone head plus pro + slider plus pro long + motorized slide module v2. As I commented below in the threads, a lot of this depends on use case (as you mentioned in your video your head one is not suitable for macro shots) but also other factors such as: - using camera bodies without ibis will show micro jitters more - wrong tripods or right tripods used improperly. I believe the most stable would be 75mm bowl base but I think for heavier setup, it’s better to have two same tripods on each end rather than one in the middle. And using w leveling base adapater to make sure everything is leveled (missing on all sliders or not mentioned much) - user error not setting up right or not familiar with system as ramp up time is needed I think once you neutralize all these possibilities, then you can truly know where the core issue lies. Having said that, I only thing the head plus and pro gives the most stability. Curious if you tried the Rhinogear arc ii or syrp genie 2?
I was ready to buy a small slider from them , now there is no way .i need a small motorized slider for time lapse and video.would you recommend the rhino mov? I'm using a Z6 and a 24-70 or 20mm prime .thank you for the help
Christopher Rowbottom if you need JUST the slider and not other motion then edelkrone works well but is expensive. The slider alone with one headone works pretty good. if you want a cheap alternative the Slypod is really good and smooth but the app is a bit dated
hello there yes you are correct it is also why I made this video because I couldn't find any honest person talking about some problems with it. I have now gone with the brand zeapon micro 2 slider, which I really really like and they even have a new version of the micro 3 which looks even better and more stable so I recommend going with them if you need a very reliable slider
For time lapse shots and home stock videos, I would get a slider system, but did this video make me mind? Now should I stop taking edelkrone? I was thinking of getting sliderone v2 and headone. ?
Serdar Gungor for timelapse I haven't tried it but I have seen a terrible looking timelapse made with it (shown in this video) I would wait and see what the Zeapon team will come up with a new head... cause they said that they have one in the making
frankly I have the same equipment as yours, when I use this stuff at first, the footages were shakey at the end of the travel of the slider. However, if you start recording mode when you operate the slider on your App, the footage’s shaker problems will be solved.
Hulk i’m not sure what you mean by “start recording when operating the slider on the app”.... We HAVE to use the app to start the slider... what setup do you have ?
Duncan Dimanche I guess I will confused you, lol. So what I mean is, when you open the App, and you could see that there is button left side for adjust the speed of slider, and there is a red with ‘REC’ button on the right side. That’s what I am talk about. Once you set up every key frame of the slider, you could hit the ‘REC’ button first, than the App will shows that the recording mode is on. So, my personal understanding of this because if you don’t start the recording mode the slider will only perform the roughly way, you know, like a presentation to show you how your footage looks like, that’s why it will shake the footage at the beginning and the end of travel. Hopefully this might help you, and also have you checked your slider or head one? Like is there any loose or something else physical problem on that? That also could caused your footage looks shakey. BTW, sorry for my poor English :-)
@@hulk2212 Wow, I was wondering what that record button was for. I thought it was to make the camera start recording if you have it connected to the system with a cable. Are you sure about what you're saying?
Finally someone I can trust about this topic! For real! I do have the slider one pro and sometimes I just want to grab it and throw it against the wall. When I’m on shoot for a client the jitters are a huuuuuge bummer and the system lets u look like an unprofessional Thanks for the review! I don’t think I gonna purchase anything from edelkrone again
thanks for your comment ! You have to test different settings and different speeds also to combat those jitters but yeah you should get the I-footage shark nano
Hi Duncan, e just got an Edelkrone system with slider one V2 and head one dual with the bracket. I tried everything but I get a ton of vibrations, I am still life photographer. I will send this back asap.Do you have any suggestions for a motorized slider with a tilt pan module? we shoot small products and macro .Thank you
Hey many I’ve been searching through various reviews but I can’t seem to find an answer to my question: can this thing film at a 45 degree Angle I can only find video of fully horizontal shots where as the ifootage one I’ve found people using it at 45 degrees
@XV X, if you need vertical or angled shots, take a look at the Rhinogear arc ii head and tilt with their high torque motor for slider or the syrp genie ii. Both can do this. Edelkrone can only do this if you use a tripod that has a center column to tilt it 90deg so the slider is vertical. Then use the edelkrone flex tilt to angle your camera but you won’t get all the angles you want. Might be possible if you use a ballhead but I don’t have a unit to try.
@@PHUKU unmm you mean 45° forward as in tilted. I'm not really sure cause I would rather tilte the video head that the camera is on. But I don't see why not. I might test it ou when I get a chance
I’ve had the jib one and head plus with the focus module for a couple months now and can’t say I’ve had issues. The footage I’ve taken has been phenomenal.
Real Terrain Hobbies that's awesome !!
the headplus is a very different beast ! and definitely better than the headones ;)

The only time I've got a shot I wasn't happy about was on one occasion where my shutter speed was way too high and I had no ND filter so I had to just live with it, but that was also true for all the hand held shots that day.
well your message wasn't intended for me or at least I wasn't tagged so I never got the notification :)
I will check out your video when I get the chance !
It’s even just record by iPhone, the sound is amazing......
xiao xia zheng haha yep... it will work in certain situations but the sound is loud at full speed for sure.
:(
This is very sad to read.
My quick answer to your beautiful and insightful comment is this :
I have used other sliders slypod and the zeapon with great success in fact with his upon I've done some extreme macro shots that were super super smooth beyond what I had imagine I could do one to one ratio macro.
#losthope
oh yeah that Jib... I really want to try it haha
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview if the slider angers you, steer clear of the jib 🤣
I got the Slider Pro, Head Plus with the same problems. What this guy is telling is absolutely true.
BONJANSEN MEDIA thanks for your input mate !! i really appreciate it
I get what you are saying and I agree that the footage looks shaky but it some examples it looks like a problem with mismatched frame rates as the jitter/jumping is regular not random.
It's a lot of extra work but it will clean up all that judder.
interesting solution ! one that i will try ;)
I went with Zeapon micro ;) that helped with the jitters
I just can’t get over the fact that you literally look like a 1920s silent film villain :D
Dacci Pucci .... who said that I am not ? haha 🤣
Duncan Dimanche Is there a chance you could review the Arc II anytime soon? Would be appreciated!
Dacci Pucci I wish that I could but I cannot find it to rent here in France :( THE MOZA Slypod is great though !!! super smooth
and ai have now received the Zeapon micro2 !!! amazing slider !!
Duncan Dimanche cool, Slypod is really interesting too!
You are completely right. I have the head one the slider one and the slider plus long. They have microjitters and specially when they stop. For the price they are selling now (before they were much cheaper so you could compromise) I would go with gimbals. More reliable and smoother.
thanks for your feedback
I was literally about to click buy on Amazon until I went to TH-cam. I’ve watched about 8 videos and yours and Gerald undone just saved me like $4000. Thanks.
haha jesus !!
They have been releasing new products thought hat I haven't tested but yeah...
I'm gonna stay away from them for a bit now.
I got the i-footage shark nano which seems awesome for now
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview lol. I just bought that one today. I can’t wait to use it.
--
I have shown Edelkrone and emailed them about the jerkiness and they said something like “our product is not meant for macro shots” and also asked me to use lens stabilisation or editing software stabilisation.
--
Thank you for honest review and it’s sad to see how little view this has, but those who have seen it are very lucky people who have dug deep into the reviews. I literally searched “Edelkrone sucks” to find your videos and I will remember to do such search for any product in the future so that I can also listen to the other side of the story before buying a product. Even though I already bought my product , I still thank you for providing such honest video content.
XeroNera hello there ! and thanks for your feedback !
you have nailed it ! some can achieve great results after doing the same motion over and over until one has less jitter than the last one :(
and I also am still using it (but not the tilt shift kit) for my youtube content or if it's paid job then I only use it when I can set it up at home with all the time I need
Thanks guys, maybe a few years late, but I finally realize it wasn't me being bad about slider. The SliderOne v1 was just not that good anyway.
Now I could consider starting the slider game.
Hi Duncan! I just saw this film, I actually just posted a film about this too as I kept getting questions about shake 🔥
I've been using the SliderONE v2 and HeadONE for quite a while, as well as the SliderONE PRO v2.
I have the zeapon pons and they work fine but for macro they are not amazing (but much better than the edelkron setup for sure
did you get the micro v3 slider ? I really want to get my hands on one
Thanks
BOKH hi there.
what is your budget?
i think that a manual slider is a very different purpose.
what is your type of work ?
Do they still have jitter problems and do they actually handle the weight they advertise?
hi there.
I do believe that you can get great results with their products but not the way they advertise them... haha if that makes sense
And I don't think that I will review their last product cause I would need to buy it... unless they decide to send me one but I don't think that they will... for a very obvious reasons haha (called honesty)
And slider videos don't really attract enough views for me to be testing out every systems...
Back2Gaming check out the slypod ! not perfect but super smooth!!
Australian Image I don't think that their prices are outrageous considering what they claim they can do.... but they sure don't deliver :(
Cost vs performance was my main issue.
They have great support but faulty machines and misleading advertising
I have the i-footage shark nano and same story and actually even worst at certain speed

Lazlo T if you need simple movements and use just the sliderone v2 with one headone then it is decent and can work
Kudos to you for making this, I've been lusting over the Edelkrone system ever since I saw it.
Fenix Tech I read that the Arc ii ain't much better when it comes to jitters...
there isn't a magical solution unfortunately under 100k...
The question that remains is: what alternative for Edelkrone?
zeapon micro 2 !! check my review !!

Thanks in advance for your reply
you know it's a tough call on that one cause jitters can occur for a lot of reasons.
the gimbal
the headone
the speed at which you pan
the tripod you use
how close you are focusing
the focal length
so all that adds can add up to a messy mess of jitters.
I’m also waiting for a firmware of some sort but it might have sth to do with the internal of this setup :(
It reallly is a shame.

I had reserved 4,500$ to buy elderkrone equipment but I will hold out
Craytel Tech I like my Slypod a lot !! not perfect but better and cheaper so far !
Monsieur Dimanche, Ihr video ist ausgezeichnet! Tres bien. Merci d'allemagne!
MERCI BEAUCOUP !!
I bought Edekrone recently
.
I also use this combination to jitter
.
But only left-to-right direction, if you glide from right to left, it will not shake
.
No jitter when using them alone.
My camera is Sony a7iii.
張峻瑋 yeah it's not consistent:(
it's really hard to get the same results and have perfect shots
same here - no matter what I complained... it was alsways unusual, Edelkrone said.
Lazlo T no I haven't tested this Zeapon Micro but i will check it out ! I like the Rhino but I will have to rent one to make sure that they work well
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I like the Rhino.
Ryan Dundas you are not the only one :(
i have better luck with my sliderone than my headones though...
Did you turn off all stabilizers in camera and lens?
We bought their products twice and had to sell them for cheap as they never worked properly. (no returns in my country).
The last one was sliderone V1 and it sucked. I had all kinds of problems with it. Perhaps their later versions would be good eventually (I just realised they have the 3rd generation of sliderone now in 2years) so we will never buy their stuff again.
Firewerkz Films arfh ! damn that a tough one !!!
thank you for this honest review , but am really stuck now , I want an affordable motion control system with a precise movement , do you suggest one ?
the Zeapon system has it all for me
their pon (panning head) is really good too when only using one with the slider
but when using it with both zeapon pons heads it's not the smoothest of them all... but better than Edelkron for sure
Audio Hotline yeah I have done a few test with very slow speed and I could still see the jitters... it's uneven jotters and I could even hear the noise of the motors when that jitter occurred...
but i understand that there is a speed to respect and I'll have a look at the red panning speed cal
cheers !
ps i have the slypod and it seems to be doing a much better job so far
I tried everything mate. changing the settings (50fps) slowing down the headone , having a stronger tripod
amd then i bought the Zeapon micro 2 and my life changed... haha no more jitters amd I was able to do some intense macro shots with it without post image stabilizing
So i understand that some settings will definitely change the way it operates but in the end It wasn't reliable enough for me.
some shots would be decently smooth (but even that was a stretch) and some shots were just too shaky
check out my video on the zeapon micro 2
@@parkside3236 Yes I shoot with the shutter being double of my frame rate and here in this part of the world we shoot at 25fps so the shutter was at 1/50th
I was told to shoot at 50fps and a shutter at 1/100th and back then I also tried on the edelkrone but it did not help.
My main issue was consistency with their system. I would get one smooth shot every now and then but most of the time I would get vibrations.
The Zeapon completely changed and fixed that problem.
An d yes having a big tripod or two even helps and the speed at which you can pan according to your angle is very important too and I had done some tests as well back then
I have long sold the Edelkrone though
But I think that if Edelkrone knew that their product could do what it advertised they would have sent me an other copy of it instead of getting this bad press
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I would love to help you - i have the headplus pro - contact me and i can do whatever test you would like!
Jitter can be occour due to multiple reasons;
Shutter speed
Frame rate
Pan speed
Focal lenght
Screen refresh rate(hertz)
If you increase your frame rate you should increase shutter speed as well and that will allow you to make faster pans without jitter.
Duncan Dimanche Side by side comparison would be good. Excited to see
Hey, i use it together with a gimbal. The gimbal takes away the jitter. These are very small devices and if you don’t use the internal ibis or an external device , I don’t think any slider is without jitter if u just connect the camera. That’s why they put so much effort in Dollie’s and fluid heads and that’s why the pro stuff is so expensive.
hi
my zeapon does not produce jitters at all... but your points are valid
I'm almost afraid to sell them on Ebay because they are inherently faulty.
arf !! that sucks !!
do you wanna send me some samples ? cause there are a lot of things that can cause jitters and I'm learning that shooting in 50fps , slowing down the speed and having a really really stable tripod (two tripods in fact)
ps I just bought the zeapon micro 2 and the pons thingy and they are very smooths ! especially compared to edelkrone
I've had the most luck with the latter.
do you have headone od head plus v2?
Thanks for sharing an honest review. Keep on ..
Eran krinsky cheers mate !! I really appreciate it !
I just ordered the slider v2 before I saw this video. Have you seen any improvement with firmware updates since you made this video? Has Edelkrone made any improvements that you know of?
The slider alone is fine it seems (when the app does not bug...)
But now that the ifootage Shark nano just came up with a motorized slider that has an integrated pan head for 500$ I think that the edlekrone doesn't have much for itself...
I just don't like the app that much. but they can/might improve that.
the other slider that I am now IN LOVE with is the Zeapon micro2 with the motor ! sameish price but better in everyway (it's just heavier and bigger) but the travel distance is sth around 40-50cm vs 20cm for the edelkrone
and it's much more quiet 🤫 not silent but better
and they are coming up with a new head for panning ! i don't know when though
Look at motion control products from Kessler Crane. Their advertising is minimal but their products are very, very reliable.
I could be wrong, but the jitter in some of these example shots might be being caused from lens internal stabilization.
mine ? or other people's ?
I did try with and without internal Stab but the results were the same.. i think that speed also has a big influence on the jitters
I own the product and have much of the same issues. I've grown to love it however it has all the issues you've detailed. I certainly only use it on a level surface and do my best to center the weight of my rig on it which reduces the issues however ultimately he's right. I'll shoot multiple shots at different speeds as that helps.
thanks for your feedback and your honesty
They should make an opensource software and be able to use your own computers, speed controllers, and motors to make it do what you want. It's something really simple if people cared. The DIY community for 3D printing and drone work is unbelievably Vast and well-developed. It's pretty crazy that this does not exist for film making but if something goes wrong, it can catch fire and the equipment gets broken.
that would be great indeed !!! so much money is spent on software !!
Bought the Rhino (which also upgraded right after I bought it to the Arc II) but I’m happy with it... but I am tempted to get the JobONE for vertical shooting - not the HeadONE - just the basic one that keeps the camera stable.
Wonder of that will have the same issues as the slider???
George Rady the JibOne you mean ?
I would have to test it out really to be able to say if it's good or not.
Did you get an upgrade for the Rhino 2 ?
Duncan Dimanche Yup! And the high torque motor so I can do (modest) incline/decline shots... making the JobOne less necessary... for me... at this point. Arc II is awesome and (almost) worth the awesomely high price... but I could afford it’s superior sliding features (over EVO, which I wish I had waited for...)
how has the ARc II with slider been working for you? are you able to do smooth macro shots with it with 0 jitters??
Remains a pricey but indispensable solution for those languid tracking shots... no issues.
For the speed I have made a video JUST showing the max speed of the edelkrone slider one alone and WITH A headone (which slows the whole slider down.
you should check it out but by memory the sliderone v2 (not pro) travels from one end to the next in 16 seconds.
once you add a headone it slows it down to 22 seconds (but double check those figures in my other video)
called the real speed of the sliderone
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview That is unacceptably slow..The Rhino claims it can take a 25 pound camera and go 5 inches per second with little noise.... I saw it on a emo and know it's not sped up because there were two people in the video reacting and talking and they didn't look sped up.
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview I was on another thread and a guy said he was having those bump issues and he returned it and they gave him one that works fine.. Do you think that maybe you got a lemon?
Do u have IS or OSS on? Maybe the camera is trying to stabilise the image and causing these jitters?
I tried with it on and off...
i just don't have those problems with my other motorized sliders... zeapon and the moza monopod thingy
I think that you should contact edelkrone cause they can help with making sure that everything is setup properly
what gear are you using ?
lens
how close focused are you ?
I would avoid the flextilt head for this type of setup for sure
here are some stuff you can try:
1) you can start by shooting at 50fps even if you are not using the video in slow motion it will help
2) don't move too fast
3) try just the slider alone and see if you get jitters too
4) try just the headone alone and see if you get jitters
5) there are things that you can tweak to tighten or loosen the headone and the sliderone (ask edelkrone for that)
try all that ;)
let me know how it went
ps I-footage nano shark is a great slider with a built in pan head for 400-450$
Thank you for the video. Got myself ifootage shark mini and I do have problem with pan and tilt head. The shop owner tells me that jerkiness and jitter is totally fine. It looks like there is no real solution on the market right now under 2000 euro.
Pasha Lychagin that's a shame yeah. i think that the headplus works good
Hi Duncan, I too have found that Edelkrone are a misleading garbage company.
Kind regards, Rod.
rodrrico i'll send you an email ;) thanks for your feedback
i tried to look for your email but could not find it... not sure how it works on youtube. but email me at duncansreview@gmail.com cause there are several things that you can do and should do to help with jitters... also look at my slypod E video... it's an amazing tool for macro shots
Thank you for taking the time to create the video, and to share it with us. I appreciate the unvarnished review before I drop hard earned coin. Cheers!
You are very welcome !!! Thanks for the support !
Is there any better option than Edelkrone? Something that actually works fine would be nice.
the Zeapon micro 2 has worked amazingly (other than a wheel breaking that i had to replace)
their new zeapon micro 3 looks even better
so that's the only brand that i can recommend (that i have tested)
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview thank you very much! I'll have a closer look at zeapon
great, thanks for the honest review, i suspected this to be an issue from what i saw from other reviewers. saved me a lot of trouble!
Thanks !!! I just did a "quick" review on the Moza Slypod and i'm gonna post an other video with macro shots taken with it
Have you tried disabling IBIS/OIS first? The stabilization causes the 'jumpiness' you see in video when on a tripod/slider/stabilizer
yeah I tried with both ! and sometimes the ibis would help and sometimes it wouldn't... really tough to tell
What are your thoughts on the new jibone? Do you think it will suffer from the same problems? I saw a video of potato jet using it and his stuff looked great
D2Sims I haven't tested it out and probably won't unless I get one sent over which is very unlikely haha
Thanks for the video!
I wonder why there are so many dislikes. I don't see any negative comments. Do you delete negative comments or people just dislike the video and keep silent?
Ilia Cinema hello there !
No i don't delete negative comments at all. Unless they are just hateful and very mean (and useless)
I have a bit of negative comments on this video if you look well enough.
Hi thanks for your honest review. have you tried the ZEAPON PONS PT system? would be nice to know if the weapon system is better!
yes I have ! check out my channel for the video
Hi and thank you for sharing this video. I wanted to ask for a clarification. I only need pan and tilt for panoramic photography and not video. Would this be fine?
hi,
I think that for photography it would be fine yes.
But I don't know if the edelkrone app has a panoramic mode at all...
Might wanna check out some other videos online for the best pan-tilt head for that type of photography
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview thanks.in fact in product description on their page it mentions Easy 360° photosphere mode as well as videos on TH-cam showing that it can be set to be doing multi row panoramas. hi Duncan, i think all or most of your problem have a work around, i have no issue with mine, i got 2 headones too
I would love to see some samples man ! straight out of camera ;)

Give them a try.
it's good to hear from the other side also :)
I have tried their new slider with new metal gears and heads as well... i had them all and unfortunately I wasn't really happy with the results (especially for that price)
I have moved to the zeapon now and it works great. (it did break one of the wheel inside which took them forever to send me new ones and not for free (30$)
but in terms of stability, ease of use, no need to have the app to operate it and its great macro capabilities I am very happy with it and it's cheaper than edelkrone
I bought the slider one a few years ago and I have not noticed any issues.
I was shocked to realise that cannot loop the movements or record a specific movement without buying a head as well...
so what is the name of your guest's channel? I tried searching for be motion but did not find anything.
yeah for some reason his channel is super hard to find on youtube let me try and find it
here it is th-cam.com/users/bEmotiondesign

Christopher Haas thanks !! haha
Merci duncan... What would you recomment instead?
I just ordered the I-footage shark nano with its built in pan head !
unfortunately i am away and I cannot test it out before an other month or more.
but all the reviews that I saw seemed great and honest (for the most part) and the price is super attractive
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview thank you. I never heard about it... sounds interessting...
I almost bought more of this system. Thank you for saving me from this one!
Quite Mike check out the zeapon micro 2 !!!
They need to fix the damn app. Mostly I can work around the jitters with IBIS and a stabilized lens, but the connectivity issues make the products impossible to take on set and hence, worthless.
optimumfilms word ! the other day I couldn't use it AT ALL !! kept crashing
I've used edelkrone for a while and it definitely has had its bugs and issues, but it seems like they've worked out a lot of the issues with firmware updates. I appreciate your honest review.
i'm glad that their system works for you. i truly wanted edelkrone to be my perfect light system
Hi Duncan
Just a quick question, how is it for time-lapse? i am strictly a time-lapse photographer
I haven't used it for timelapse but you can look at some samples that I grabbed from the french guy who did a review and it looked super shaky... So I can't really vouch on it for time-lapses.... And also on their website I don't find their time-lapses convincing
Thanks! Got a real review, and just realized what does it mean sponsored youtubers...
kisrokas yeah... being sponsored can be a bit tricky for sure. some companies are more open than others in what you can said/should say.
but either way it's always hard to criticize a brand that sends you stuff for free. unless you are a HUGE name and don't give a crap ;)
I bought a complete ifootage shark slider mini kid (head and slider) and I had similar wobble and stuttering issues on all of the motors.
I've heard the rhino arc ii setup works really well, but I haven't tried it myself.
Laughlin Elkind thanks for your input !
yeah I did hear that it works pretty well the Arc ii
i would love to get my hands on it
Laughlin Elkind yeah I did hear hear that the arc ii works well but also that it had problems too... I need to get my hands on one !
Does camera IBIS eliminate the jitters?
ummm sometimes yes and sometimes it adds other stuff so tough call
👏👏👏 thank you😅
welcome !!!
there's no excuse for this problem but i wonder if IBIS and lens IS will help with the shake?
it just seems like it can not handle the weight? PLUS its still a poor quality product that simply does not have smooth movement motors in the first place
thank you for this video, saw a lot of ads on instagram and many other places, it looked interesting but after this video i know to avoid it 100%
JayGrapher.Th yes having IBIS helps tremendously with the jitters but does not completely get rid of it.
thanks for your kind comment ;)
What do you think of the cheaper YC Onion electric sliders? Cheaper and better maybe?
Frost Visto i haven’t heard of it. I’ll look into it.
But I’m afraid that it might be the same or worst but who knows. Someone might come up with the magical formula
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview would you be interested in testing ours 😁, here is the link: www.zeapon.com/en/index.html
Hi Duncan,
Liked and subbed! Looking at the Rhino Arc II ultimate bundle vs. Edelkrone head plus pro + slider plus pro long + motorized slide module v2.
As I commented below in the threads, a lot of this depends on use case (as you mentioned in your video your head one is not suitable for macro shots) but also other factors such as:
- using camera bodies without ibis will show micro jitters more
- wrong tripods or right tripods used improperly. I believe the most stable would be 75mm bowl base but I think for heavier setup, it’s better to have two same tripods on each end rather than one in the middle. And using w leveling base adapater to make sure everything is leveled (missing on all sliders or not mentioned much)
- user error not setting up right or not familiar with system as ramp up time is needed
I think once you neutralize all these possibilities, then you can truly know where the core issue lies.
Having said that, I only thing the head plus and pro gives the most stability.
Curious if you tried the Rhinogear arc ii or syrp genie 2?
Nomad 24 i like the fact that Rhino does not require the app to work and is a very quick setup !!!
This might be a silly question, but are you using image stabilization?
Rodney Ferguson i tried ! With and without.
Without definitely helps ! But not all camera have it :(
My blackmagic does not
I was ready to buy a small slider from them , now there is no way .i need a small motorized slider for time lapse and video.would you recommend the rhino mov? I'm using a Z6 and a 24-70 or 20mm prime .thank you for the help
Christopher Rowbottom if you need JUST the slider and not other motion then edelkrone works well but is expensive. The slider alone with one headone works pretty good. if you want a cheap alternative the Slypod is really good and smooth but the app is a bit dated
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview slipod working with veri light cameras and lenses
I always get nervous when all I can find are sponsored videos for products. Seems this is a good example of why.
hello there yes you are correct it is also why I made this video because I couldn't find any honest person talking about some problems with it. I have now gone with the brand zeapon micro 2 slider, which I really really like and they even have a new version of the micro 3 which looks even better and more stable so I recommend going with them if you need a very reliable slider
@@DuncanDimanche-sreview will check this one out thank you!!
Are you sure about what you're saying?
would warp stabiliser essentially fix this in a useable way? (motion blur etc)
to a certain extent but not always
I get jitters too. I'm going to test it with my steady XP stabilser Metadata recorder to see if it completely irons out the wobbles in post
Stephen Mylonas hello there ! how did it go ?!
Duncan Dimanche still haven't tried it yet. Been away for months. Will come back to you in a couple weeks :-)
Finally someone I can trust about this topic! For real!
I do have the slider one pro and sometimes I just want to grab it and throw it against the wall.
When I’m on shoot for a client the jitters are a huuuuuge bummer and the system lets u look like an unprofessional
Thanks for the review! I don’t think I gonna purchase anything from edelkrone again
thanks for your comment !
You have to test different settings and different speeds also to combat those jitters
but yeah you should get the I-footage shark nano
I had the same problems with the App and batteries
Have you since purchased another slider
RIHNO looks promising
Regards, Rick
I received the Zeapon micro 2 to test it out and it's simply amazing !! but we don't have a panning head on it
Hi Duncan, e just got an Edelkrone system with slider one V2 and head one dual with the bracket. I tried everything but I get a ton of vibrations, I am still life photographer. I will send this back asap.Do you have any suggestions for a motorized slider with a tilt pan module? we shoot small products and macro .Thank you
i need to get myself the ifootage shark nano ! it's a preorder and i haven't tried it but it seems like a great one.
Hey many I’ve been searching through various reviews but I can’t seem to find an answer to my question: can this thing film at a 45 degree Angle I can only find video of fully horizontal shots where as the ifootage one I’ve found people using it at 45 degrees
XV X you mean vertical shots ?
It can carry a camera up and down. By a smaller payload than horizontal though
Duncan Dimanche but can the camera be rotated to be horizontal whilst the slider is at 45 degrees does the head have that rotation
@@PHUKU yes on the right tripod head
I've had nothing but problems from my unit. Thanks for being truthful. I so wish I didn't buy this.
thanks for your message !
can you give us details of what problems you've had ?
