Having visited this stadium for over 40 years I can say that of the stadiums I've visited this is the best by far. The main reason for that is that the vast majority of seats in Old Trafford are almost as close to the pitch as you could get. The exception to this is the top tier of the North Stand which actually gives nothing to the stadium. It feels separate from the stadium and OT would lose nothing if this section was removed. From what I hear the only stadium that comes close is The Millennium Stadium Cardiff which is slightly smaller. The big problem with creating a stadium that can generate a great atmosphere is size. Strangely you often find smaller stadiums generate a better atmosphere than larger ones and there are good reasons for that. Take the Nou Camp for example. With 3 levels, level 1 has no idea what's happening on level 2 or 3. The same applies vice versa. This means its much, much harder to get everyone singing together. Old Trafford doesn't have this problem. The new Wembley is an awful stadium for atmosphere. If you are at the highest level near the back you may as well be in a different post code. Some may say that Old Trafford doesn't generate a great atmosphere every week and I agree that's true but it's for different reasons NOT the stadium itself. That's for many different reasons which include, increased prices, losing the core fanbase because the fans can't associate with Manchester United and their owners any more, huge numbers of season tickets meaning pals can't sit with their mates anymore so affecting the singing, making the stadium all seater has affected Old Trafford just like every other stadium, growth in Corporate business etc. It's no surprise that the stadiums which generate the best atmospheres have less of the above factors. The higher leagues have suffered more than the lower. The PL/SPL is awful compared to even 20 years ago and unrecognisable compared to 30 years ago!!!
@George And Joe HD South Stand over the railway track? Like Vicente Calderón stadium in Madrid, Spain. estaticos4.larazon.es/binrepository/755x608/0c138/755d425/none/10810/VFMU/035mad11fot1_9281119_20190211043005.jpg
One side need to be upgraded and make a tunnel where the players and manager sit ... walking down to the end of the pitch to enter the dressing room is a bit awkward esp if there is an injury
No way, used to edit aerials like this for a living. You guys need to change the sensitivity on you're camera joystick, i'd recommend running it through Final Cut and applying the steady cam effect, you've obviously got a really good giro and mount, but the effect should balance out you're cameraman without losing too much resolution on the image. Great day for it thou and some nice flyby angles.
Thank you for the technique sharing, Dave. It was quite windy on that day. I admitted this video is too shaking, because i edited it in fast forward. The aim of this video is to show 360 degrees of Old Trafford Stadium. However, I wanted to keep the video not too long. Therefore, I speeded it up. I have made another stabilized version as well. Hope you enjoy it th-cam.com/video/rsKEe6aBg_0/w-d-xo.html
Would be a great looking stadium if it wasn't for that shitty little odd looking end! However they can't change it so it looks crap compared to the Emirates and Tottenhams new ground. When the Etihed gets completed again it will look so much nicer unless the Glazers stump up the cash to sort that odd end out which I doubt.
Nothing wrong with it. At least it's on the site of the original ground. Who knows spurs new stadium might actually stage a game soon. Still the biggest club ground in Britain.
In making that admittedly objective comment, I guess that you are not a United supporter ! Old Trafford may be old and may not be beautiful from the outside but it has, along with Anfield, something which the three newly built stadiums that you mention can never match - a soul !!!! To ALL United supporters, this stadium is a sacred monument built on hallowed ground !!!!
are they fuck, there newer yes but dont have that community feel, emirate and emptyhad are just boring new designs and still dont hold as many people as OT and same goes foe the atmosphere
beautiful stadium, my dreammmmm, my teammmmmmm
Trung Dũng yesiiiii
My dream too :)

United along with maybe two more clubs can actually fill up a 100 k stadium week in week out
One side need to be upgraded and make a tunnel where the players and manager sit ... walking down to the end of the pitch to enter the dressing room is a bit awkward esp if there is an injury
Needs a serious upgrade
Hey, I am an MSc digital marketing student at MMU and I am working on rich video user experience and I would love to use this video. May I use it?
waoh, I'm wishing and hoping one day I will enter this stadium. just that financially am not stable
The seats is very near with pitch. And when we seen from the stand, just like watching a movie in cinema.. That's why it called 'Theatre of Dreams'.
Sunshine in Manchester,,,, no surely this can't be right.
Adem banget lihat perumah di belakang OT
Not a patch on Wimbledon's old plough lane

Hi Benny,
我從新剪過條片,你睇吓會唔會好睇些?

Shame stadium cant be expanded due to rail track.
Something should be done regarding Sir Bobby Charlton Stand... looks ugly.

People of liverpool very angry for manchester because the canal

You haven't a clue about the tradition and fabric of British football and its stadiums you fool. Go work on your punctuality.

I agree with all, except Anfield... Anfield ain't more modern than Trafford lol...
