  • I haven't uploaded any model builds in a while. I've been saving this video to upload later as I focus on working on projects I already started on here, but I may as well upload this.

    This is so amazing.
When you showed the stands for space ship model kits, I remember that I saw them also in one Airfix model kit such as Gazelle helicopter in scale such ay 1/72. The only difference is that the model kit was made during the 70's.
Looking forward to see it assembled.

Thanks. I already have a second video waiting to upload. So far I have these three ships painted and I am now working on painting Kamjin's flagship. I just hope these decals will work!

@@stevethefishdotnet I need to get those I only have Bretai's flagship. Nice thing about theses ship designs Olive Drab and Neutral gray actually look good on these ships as a color choice.

These kits seem simple but present their own challenges due to outdated engineering but I'm sure you'll make them into fine display pieces. By the way, is that Telepath I hear in the background?

I just had a chillwave compilation playing in the background. I don't know who the artists are.

These old Arii kits came out over 40 years ago.

Breeze from the late century :D
    Did it in 1987 :D
Have several of this kits since so I may be tempted to build them again with my 21st century skills :D Modifying and adding details :D

I suck at scribing new panel lines. I just can't make them happen well at all as my tool slips constantly, even when I use scribing tape.

@@stevethefishdotnet I think that here the first thing that I'll do is get rid of the out of scale rivets, little holes here and there. And not scribing panel lines, since, due to the scale, you'll never be able to transcript the gigantism of this ships.
I'll have to add some bulbs here and there, thin the front part of the Breetai ship for example, replace the "antennaes" by solid metal parts (mine broke a long time ago).
And then the paint work will do its parts, the same thing than with a Star Destroyer or a Klingon Battleship :D

    • @stevethefishdotnet

Good idea about those rivet holes. I even tried to recreate ones that were missing, but I couldn't line them up, even with a rivet ruler. I ended up giving up on the idea. I should have filled them in for sure. I didn't even think of that.

      @YvanWESTLAURENCE 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@stevethefishdotnet You can guide yourself with a tape but there is really no point here since the original design don't show any signs of rivets at all. Maybe on the illustrations on the boxes but none on the mecha design from studio Nue Artist Miyatake. :D A classic "artistic license" from our good friends from ARII :D

@@YvanWESTLAURENCE You would just be better off just replacing the entire front end of the ship than trying to change the shape of the plastic pieces. You would have to chop the front off and do a new front section out of Miliput.
