If you take that Razer logo on the top off, it'd probably be a decent backpack. With that logo on it it's much more of a virginity protector.

I have been running the bag for the past five years and its served me great, no rips or tears only some broken buckles from shoving it in a way to small locker everyday for four years. But now I think its time to upgrade to the LTT backpack, its been a good bag a good bag.
Would actually like to see LTT and other techfluencers (gamersnexus colab perhaps, or ijustine) compare these bags. Or even just other perspectives from people who didn't participate in the design.
Nah just keep it. Buckles are the easiest thing to replace. Just measure the strap width and size some out online.

It can, by following these steps:

I just got one of these over the Holidays, and it IS NICE! Those pouches are actually ON THERE. You would know if someone was trying to grab one, as they are not easily removed.

Seeing how this video is 3 years old now is a testament to how well designed this bag is. Most "tactical style" bags today still carry pretty much this same design, & it still works very well. It's a stellar layout with just that perfect amount of specialized and general storage to get you through pretty much whatever the day may ask of you. As far as the pricing goes- I'll be damned if it still doesn't cost damn near the exact same, almost to the penny.

Yeah i'm not one for stealing, but if I saw that bag, I wouldn't hesitate to take it.
This is still easily the best bag I’ve ever owned. It’s wonderful, from weekend trips to longer stays away I’m constantly surprised at just how much I can cram in it, and taking one of these round an airport on a trip is FAR better than a trolley bag and will allow you to get away with much more than if you were using a trolley bag. I love this bag, it’s comfy, can hold tons of stuff and then some, and after using it on 20 trips so far it’s held up beautifully, no marks, no scuffs, no rips, no tears. Truly a really nice backpack that shows no sign of giving up any time soon

For the front velcrob patches, Run some Molle Military style pouches, Could get one for a 30 round ak mag that'd have elastic straps to hold that water bottle :P It'll have to be "Custom fitted" for the molle

This back pack looks awesome but Id like to know more about the bottom padding. I have both a laptop and an expensive art drawing tablet that I carry in the main compartment but am trying to find a backpack that provides cushion at the bottom for both the main compartment and laptop section. Does this work?

The loop at the top of the bag, I believe that's for a hydration pack. You see them quite a bit in camping and hiking bags. This bag is kind of a hybrid of a laptop bag and a hiking bag, which is awesome.
I have this backpack, at 5:25 where the black mesh meets the 4 shallow green pockets, it is separated. the strings came loose from going back and forth to classes (college) and would recommend the Astro Scout backpack over this.

Do you actually use the pockets attached by velcro? I would be so afraid of the entire pocket just falling off or someone stealing it when the backpack is on my back or like putting it in the onboard compartment and when taking it out, the pockets rubbing on the edge and falling off and not noticing. Its nice having a backpack review though. Would be interested in some backpacks that are a little less gimmicky.

squalltheonly It'd be a fair bit of looking around to find a decent cheap base big backpack but not impossible for that price, and about the rest yep I completely agree.
But in the end I'll have to agree with Linus that this product seems to mostly be functional (not entirely happy about those velcro attached pouches though, seems a bit too easy to lose?) But most of the bag layout is something that I could see myself using, if it was at a better price.
As it is I'm happy with my bag that I have now and see no need to replace it, still though I'm a little bit impressed that they didn't screw it up even if its expensive for what you get.

Why do laptop backpacks put the laptop section directly against your back? The more weight you put in the bag, the more it crushes your screen into the keyboard.
syperchaic Because that is where they can make the largest pouch. Also, a laptop is heavy. The further you move it away from your back the heavyer it will be to carry around. Plus, then everything will be crushing your screen into the keyboard.
Because probably the laptop you're carrying is the heaviest thing you are carrying, so it is better for your shoulders and back if the heaviest weight is nearest your body. Not to mention it feels lighter:D

Animiles Largest pouch is a good point. You lean forwards to balance with a heavy backpack regardless, which sandwiches the laptop between back and bag load. Running makes damage worse as bag bounces around.
