My friend’s late father. After his death, she found out she had a bunch of half-siblings she didn't even know existed. She’s currently going through hell, dealing with lawyers & inheritance drama. It's led her to the psych ward & gotten angry because she has trust issues now.
It didn’t stay secret for long but my father took up housekeeping with his friends wife while she was separated from him. They knew all about us and she was okay with sharing because she knew that he loved her. When mom read in the hospital news column in the paper (pre-HIPPA) that number 2 had been hospitalized and gave dad as contact with our address she divorced dad. Dad got pissed and claimed mom had no right to divorce him. Then he said he wanted nothing to do with anyone who still associated with mom so I never saw him again. He died twenty years ago and never got to see any of his grandchildren from any of us kids except my oldest who was born before the divorce.
