Finally someone who covered all the points perfectly!
That bezel is not talked about enough. You can't finish it as you covered and that's that!

Blue wouldn't be my first choice, but it's a beautiful watch. The bezel is perfect.

I told Karan this is the perfect Rolex blue watch. True to their dna, marine inspired like the nautilus and oak, perfect fit.

Watching with my same Yachtmaster on right now. It is an elegant diver, I wear this one on my yacht and when I golf. Thankfully it’s one of my cheaper watches so I don’t care much about throwing it around. I love it.

12k is a cheaper watch for you? I feel poor lol.

@@syton745 yep, haha! Most of my watches were inherited from my father. This is one I bought on my own accord though. My daily is a Longines. It’s the first ever watch I was given. It’s a sweet luxury watch, and relatively cheap. I’d say one of the first watches that someone should buy is an orient or a seiko, that way you gain enjoyment and cautiousness with a cheaper one first. Then move into the next step like Longines or Tudor, because if you miss the first step you kind of disassociate the work and time put into these watches. Then, of course, anything above $10,000 I’d just expect to be sold off as an investment so that you don’t kind of worship the quality of the super expensive watch. Watches are great investments, and memorabilia

I have the slate dial and love it. IMO the slate dial is more versatile as you can dress it up a bit more than the blue more comical looking one. It also wears much better than my 41mm sub date. Slimmer, slicker and hugs the wrist a lot better on my 7.25inch wrist. If I had to choose one it would be the Yachtmaster 40. Also every man and his dog has a sub out there. Yet to see a YM 40 slate dial!

Just add it to the list of watches you can’t get from Rolex. The brand solid pisses me off. Sales Prevention at its finest.

best YM40 is two tone 126621 black matt dial. Thin, shiny, with gold Rolex, 100m. what do you want more?

Wanted the slate forever… until I tried both on. Went blue and have loved it everyday since.
