- These are the basic GPS settings to make the Lowrance Elite 7 Ti much easier to navigate with over the default settings. There are only a few minor changes that need to be made and are all covered in this video.

My course indication "route stripe" is sometimes about 1mm thick and then suddenly 4mm thick. Is there is setting or could it be a problem with finder - Brand new, used twice.

How far apart are the range rings?
It will depend on the zoom level you are at. You'll notice a small scale next to the zoom level scale that will indicate how far apart they are.
My GPS doenst work at all while on the water at all. Please help if you can.
If the arrow has a a flashing question mark you likely have a defective unit. If you can be more specific with the problem i could try to help further
@@InDepthSonar It did have a question mark, but I figured out how to turn on gps witch should be a default. It was in settings under satellite options. I will be on the water tomorrow to finalize results before deeming it defective. Thanks though.
I am running navionics north chip. Looking for how to have reefs shaded differently than the blue water color so they stand out. Is it possible? Thanks Greg
+Greg M I've never played with those settings because I don't like the look. I set the safety depth to 18 and it seems to highlight the best I find.
I think there is a shading setting in the view option of the menu. If not, you can use the rock filter and anything shallower than your set depth with have red dots on it.

Not that I know of. Try going into System, Advanced, and Features...if you can it'll be in there

My map doesn't follow the boat. I have to keep moving the map to see where I am. I'm using the Navionics card, I have reset the system to see if I had changed something but it's still the same. Any ideas that may help?
+Timewars Your cursor is probably up on the screen. Press Exit and it will return to the boat position
I'll try that thanks. Wish there was some way to power it up out of boat so I could fiddle with it when im not on the water
+Timewars That should fix it...common issue. You can get a 110v to 12v converter and a second power cable to power it at home.
For some reason I don't have the settings option that you have ? I thought it was a firmware update but no luck .. any ideas ?
They may have changed it on an update. Which Settings are you refering to? The main menu one on the home screen or the chart settings on the map screen?
I also don't have the settings where u can change it the pallet and safety depth
Daniel Mata I was told it's because of the map selection us maps .. he is using the other option
Can you have certain depths shaded different colors?
I think so in the CMAP or other Lowrance mapping. I never use that feature as it clutters the screen too much. It's better to learn the skill of reading a contour map in my opinion.
Can you rotate the screen of the Elite 7 Ti, 180 degree?

Can you demonstrate these features(3d perspective nav& autorouting) ? Why do you recommend navionics+ and for 3d perspective, does it work with navionics+?
+wazup3333 I don't have this unit anymore so I can't demo it.
I'd recommend Navionics+ because the mapping detail is the same as the Platinum+ and it's like half the cost. I find the 3D more of something that is just for the look rather than useful for finding fishing spots.
The 3D perspective will work even without a map in the unit. It just tilts the map into a 3D perspective.
