This might have been the most lucky I have ever gotten at a water park. When I visited in 2014 in the early morning it was storming and by the time the park opened in had shifted to light rain, but that still scared most of the public away. An hour later it cleared up but there was barely anyone in the park, everything was a walk on all day, even Black Anaconda, in fact it was so dead that I help a group ride the water coaster because they didn’t meet the weight requirement

That’s what happened to me too! It was great. The crappy weather really helped.
Technically, Action Park in New Jersey had America's first looping waterslide. this is just the first one that passed safety and standards.

I worked there for the 2019 and 2021 season (I can even be seen on a short clip here), and I can tell you that last year the park struggled quite a bit on staff due to several embassies being still closed or just starting to open back from Covid. I myself struggled to get to the park and luckily made it as one of the first internationals. Still, last year was heavily (and almost unwillingly) dependent on young-ish American employees, who often are not as consistent and dedicated on work schedules as the hundreds of J1 employees that staff the park each year.
I do suggest getting as early as possible to the park to avoid lines, I admit lines can get a bit long. Nothing compared to last years, though, as this year will have nearly full staff and will be able to open their second slides during most of the day.
A few more notes: The food I'd say is better than average compared to other amusement parks, specially Pinks (it's an employee favorite) and Poblanos, near Stingray. Palace (and Noah's employees) have worked hard to get the park back to being pretty and memorable, so you´ve got to give credit on that matter.
And a last one: Please, PLEASE, don't be hard on the employees as they (including me) work really hard to give you the best experience possible here as up to 90% of Noah's employees are international J1 students on a normal year, most of which are working their asses off to make a living in a foreign country.
I know ride closures aren't the fault of the front line employees and I hope that helps with crowds, but my go-to will to be to always arrive at open.

Having a chute-the-shoots ride is an awesome touch. I enjoy it far more in a water park setting. More water parks should go beyond slides & install water-based rides.

It is my favorite slide and I´ve ridden (and walked on it) over a hundred times and it is the best one at Noah's.
It's my third favorite waterpark in Wisconsin Dells behind Kalahari and Wilderness. It's also the only waterpark from Palace Entertainment I've been to. We thought about visiting Raging Waters in San Diemas in 2014 but we must've forgot about it or something because we never did.
I want to get to Splish Splash next year.
I agree with everything you said this is one of my favorite waterparks but it does get busy. Black anaconda is an amazing water coaster and honestly would be a top one if it was magnetic instead but the quality and quantity is insane. And when I went was before raja opened and scorpions tail was closed but it’s a great park overall
The drops on Black Anaconda make up for the weak uphill propulsion method.
When I was in the area in 2019, I would've barely missed that 130 lb minimum for that cobra slide. I'm good now. I prioritized the amusement parks when I was up that way, but I was curious about what this waterpark had to offer, so I appreciate you taking us on a tour.

Was just there yesterday after not having been there for years! Two things I recommend. Pack your own food because everything is crazy expensive. Just leave the park and go to your car to eat. Second, bring flip flops to walk around the park! It's not a smooth walk and the cement hurts your feet, not because of the heat, but because it feels like walking on sandpaper. Most people had something for their feet but I didn't and I regretted it!
Or you can leave for food and come back. I've done that one too.
50 slides, thats absolutely insane. I come to the dells for Mt. Olympus but even though I'm not a huge fan of water slides, why would I not go here? It's absolutely insane. You know I love mat racers the most so that's my goto lol.
The slide lineup has something for everyone.
Scorpions tail is my favorite
its pretty fascinating that such a small city like wisconsin dells have 2 massive entertainment complexes (mt olympus and this)
Don't forget about Wilderness, Kalahari and Chula Vista. Those are pretty big to.
Amusements always build up around tourist traps.
granted this is in 2024 and I went on a Saturday, but I lucked out big time because all of the slides were open. In fact, I can't think of a single thing that was closed. Maybe they saw your video from 2.5 years ago and decided they needed to fix things haha
shockingly, the waits were not bad at all, but it probably helped that i rode the Big 4 (Point of No Return, Scorpion's Tail, Raja, and Stingray) as soon as the park opened. Park really starts picking up around 11-11:30 so i already was able to get on all four within the first hour

At the end of the day at Black Anaconda lifeguards have to ride all boats that are up back down to the bottom. What a job :)

You have to check out rapids in west palm beach Florida, it’s has a great slide line up. 2 smooth amazing body slides. And a new hydro magnetic launched racing water coaster.

Silver Dollar City usually has manageable queue lines for a large park. For really short waits, try to visit a yearround park on a winter or spring weekday (outside of spring break).

2023 Update: The park is now cashless, at least it was on my June 30th visit. Parking is now $30 preferred and $20 for standard. We arrived at 11 and as we departed at 330 the park had twice as many people than when we arrived, which is partly why we left.

😢I remember when parking was free .when it was taken over they charged for parking ,best bet Is to stay at a motel that offers free tickets across from park and then u save on parking and admission. Shamrock motel offers tickets at your stay

when I went the lines were not that long the longest lines I waited for were congo bongo and time warp they were like 30 minutes wait time and black anaconda was my most favorite

Black anaconda is good for a 3 person ride and is one of they're best. The upward grocery belt picks you up fast. But its no foam in the front (or any) its the best you will ever get at any water park and the main attractions like a scorpion and the point of no return are once in a life time. Enjoy it while it still lasts. Maintenance is going to hell. You here it from the other workers in lines

i can't speak for Noah's Ark as both Scorpion's Tail and Point of No Return were operating when i went there earlier today...but yeah the "trapdoor" drop pod slides are getting neglected sadly
both Hurricane Harbor Chicago and Hurricane Harbor Rockford closed their trapdoor slides...which is such a shame

I went to this water park my whole childhood and I faded water slides closed right in front of me and I mean literally the flying Gecko or the new name of it the Chameleon
