Track defects may arise when deficiency of parameters occurred. The important track parameters are gauge, alignment (lateral and vertical), level (sag and summit). These are recorded by OMS( oscillation monitoring system), and TRC(Track recording car). The defects can be rectified by manually and using machines
Length of closure rail is not mentioned in IRPWM, practically if there is any weak weld or scabbing rail near SEJ can be removed during the process. And ensure that weld can't be done within 4m.
