Recently I've encountered both Ethiopian and Eritrean natives. At first I thought they were Puerto Ricans. I was sadly mistaken but respectfully corrected. I enjoy how I'm embraced as family and enjoyed learning the culture. Even learned the language a little.

There are a lot of Eritreans in Denmark. They're all very friendly, but are still having a little trouble with the language, most of them learning danish and english simultaneously. I'm trying to learn more about their cultural background, to better understand them.

I live in the netherlands, we also have lots of eritrean refugees. My experience is that most eritreans know how to take responsibility for their own lives ( maybe bc they know the value of that freedom?). They work and study hard, to make a life for themselves.
The eritrean ppl i have met are so very welcoming, always offering food, and very respectful towards other cultures and religions.

a relative of mine (now long dead) was in the italo ethiopian war with the italian army and used to lead a company of Eritrean askaris colonial soldiers... he used to say they were very brave, loyal and thrusthworty, almost all of them could speak italian of some sort...
The askaris were forced. This romanticisation of history. Why on earth would they be vrace and loyal to a brutal and harsh colonialists.

We don't have a only date Eritreans rule like some Indian parents have (my best friend who is Indian is currently dating someone outside of his country and he is worried about telling them), my aunt has two kids and they are mixed one half Sri Lankan and the other half Malaysian.
We do date foreigners its just most common to go back to your country (like most other countries), find a man or woman and bring them back to a more stable country building a family there like US, Australia or Canada.

if you're sick, you cant use your wealth and would probably be spent on medical
if you're healthy, you can play and people don't need fancy toys to play with (although the degree of fun is debatable)

I was trying to say I'd rather pay taxes and thinkgs like that and have less money, but be healthy than having loads of money and pay quite a few euros / dollars / WhateverTheMoneies for just a regular checkup like for example a country of 50 federal states is quite a fan of the second one...
