After watching this clip of 2:35 I understood that something really big happened between them in personal terms after 2018 Olympics! They don't even look at each other.... the attitude became so stiff Also that Tessa and Scott don't appear in any online interviews together. I agree with you 100% and this engagement seems so rushed no one knows her or that he was even dating her before she just appeared and how awful and sad that he did not even tell T before he used the WOF to make his announcement how horrible is that. What is really bad is that she divorced her husband of 10 years for S I wonder what part S played in this decision. She brings major baggage and in time she will ruin his life and there is a chance she would divorce him to move on to a richer more famous celebrity when S just does not do it for her any more. Her face at 0:15 says it all. She's very upset, either for the engagement itself or for the fact that they are talking about it when it was supposed to be about promoting the tour. Also, it's very strange when she says she hadn't envisioned "that" in their partnership. Really? She didn't think that either of them would get married to someone at some point? Unless it wasn't such a platonic relationship as they claim and she didn't see it coming because she thought THEY would get married down the road...
Any time I come across this clip, I'm reminded why I don't like Scott. This day was supposed to be about their final tour, but because he was an ass and didn't even give Tessa a heads up that he'd gotten engaged, and he made that weird, awkward "joke" about Tessa being his second skating partner and "lasting a bit longer," all the media could focus on was his engagement. Both exceptionally talented skaters, but I don't care for Scott one bit.
I totally agree. Scott gives me major red flags since the 2010 Olympics. I don’t know if winning got to his head or if he started to take Tessa and he’s career for granted but i’m pretty sure a romantic break up happened between 2011 and 2013 because the vibe completely change from Tessa towards Scott since. Their programs became less and less romantic and while I agree its necessary to evolve and change, i think there is more behind it. Tessa is always graceful, polite and sweet but i feel like she has been fed up with Scott for a while now. Maybe he was too clingy and relied on her too much and she got tired of that. At the end of the day you need to be your own person to be able to be happy with someone else. And I think while Tessa is able to shine with or without Scott, he feels like a lost puppy without her. Successful women don’t like that. Can’t blame her

I feel he's depressed and doubting this very rushed decision (his fiance has only been fully divorced since March). People struggling with depression often don't make the best choices with regard to themselves and others. I sincerely hope he gets help. Tessa is very strong to be able to keep her composure through this. I don't think I could.

@@chinitaninoska Yes it's very sad to see. I hope there are mentors in his life who can steer him in the right direction, like Elvis who'll be on the tour. My personal theory is that Tessa and Scott broke up last summer and that Scott feels guilty for whatever part he played in that. I also think he still has feelings for Tessa so it's hard to be around her. Of course I don't know for sure but he looks very pained and unhappy here. I hope he's able to pull out of this and get into a healthier frame of mind.

I agree I pray somehow he gets a clear picture and comes to his senses because he is trying to hold on to Tessa so hard and yet got engaged to this woman who he dated while she was married and she divorced her husband then they got together very rocky beginning already.
