Performed - Beijing, China. 26-28 January
This is the first time this style of the song has been shown to the North Korean people. The Samjiyon Orchestra performed in the same outfits in South Korea early last year but no trace of it was shown in NK media. This being shown to the public may come as a surprise, but it may also show a changing style in the North Korean music world.
People compare them to the Moranbong Band but forget that each band has its own style. I like both versions.

I don't recognize the center. Are these different women from the ones who performed in South Korea? They don't seem to be as synchronized as the latter, but I love their energy.
The singers of this song were the Chongbong Band members, both in South Korea and in China. In South Korea, Kim Ju-hyang 김주향 was the center, but in China she hadn't appeared.

Als armer Mensch in Südkorea hat man viel Autolärm und kitschige TV Serien aber man verhungert dort nicht. Russland und China haben Nordkorea Milliarden Schulden erlassen, ohne Gegenleistung? Vielleicht gibt es eines Tages in Nordkorea Wikipedia und Fremdsprachen lernen im TV. Alte Fremdsprachen Serien aus DDR Beständen sind bestimmt billig zu bekommen. ENGLISCH, FRANZÖSISCH UND DEUTSCH wären gut. Wir hoffen, daß das ganze Land einmal so schön wird wie die Musik.

Most of the singers there are more specialised in dancing rather then singing, with the exception of Song Yong and Yu Bong-mi, so the singing isn't going to be as good as the moranbong, but still I prefer how the moranbong electronic ensemble played it at the start of the year, and more so in years prior.
