Wasn’t pretty but we won. We made a mid-pack Big 12 team look much better than their 10-14 conference record. Not sure what is going on with our pitchers but UCF sure managed to knock them around and May is still struggling. IF we can get to the finals stage this year, not sure we have the pitching staff to win it all. And what’s up with all the errors?!! We continue to make unusual errors especially on fielding. Very uncharacteristic. We may have to settle for 3rd in the conference by the time the Big 12 championship is done.
You made some very good points. I'm also concerned about communications in the outfield: Boone RF shouldn't be crossing under Coleman CF. Jayda made a couple of spectacular catches running to her left, but Boone shocked me by running underneath instead of positioning for the possible rebound.
I think the on-field issues - errors , OF positioning - are fixable in time for the post-season, but pitching and the mindset may not be. Still, I pulling for the Sooners.

Yes, this game illustrated why 'we are #2'. The decline of May is a true disappointment. After being pulled in the 1st game in the new ball park, she hasn't shown any of last year's focus. There are two other pitchers, but neither have shown the needed reliability, yet. So, they need May specifically to make it through the Regionals - she's a senior.
Thankfully the bats came alive... finally. But, was it extra work in the batting cage or bad UCF pitching? Hansen looked good, but Tiare was, what, 1 for 5? 2 for 9 in two games? Sanders was 0-4? Glad Ms Parker stepped up - 2 bombs! The announcer mentioned Hansen turning it 'on' for the post-season. She might...? maybe...?, but as a team that 'switch' won't work.
