My grandpa was my hero, and I was his shadow. He always was building things from Cabins to furniture. I lost him this year..... and when we laid you in that beautiful wooden casket... I know it broke the heart of the wood.

Joey + Rory are very talented... it is a shame that country radio doesn't give them the respect or appreciation they deserve. This is such a great record. Just because it doesn't fit the new Nashville mold doesn't justify DJ's refusing my request to play them.
im 14, almost 15, and I love this type of music. All that rap, hip hop, pop, and junk aint for me. gimme some bluegrass or real country like this any day an ill be happy.

I live in Columbia TN. I bought the album and have eaten at the resturaunt before they were on tv. It's amazing that someone can sing this well and cook that well. What a country boys dream. I hope we get to hear more from these two for years to come.
I can't even tell you how much I like this couple. I am a huge fan of Music with Steel Guitars and great voices and I am here to tell you these 2 have got it in spades. The fact that both of them are cute as buttons is a plus and I especially love the overhalls. BTW I love the whole album but MY favorite is "Sweet Emmylou" because it combines both my loves Emmy Lou Harris and Joey & Rory.
'To Say Goodbye' is one of the most beautiful and heart wrenching songs I have ever heard in my young life. It brings me a lot of memories, it made me sad as well. I had an Aunt who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about 3 years ago she and my Uncle were married for over 70 years and it was hard to watch her leave us. She died this year in her sleep. We never got to say goodbye to her.
This reminds me of my dear old daddy...he's been gone awhile...but there we many times my kids would go for walks with him..they always had storys to tell when they got home...thats where he loved to be was the woods...love this song

i'am not a grandpa but I've lived my life working with trees..from planting them,thinning out,cutting them down and making things from them and this song goes right to my soul and makes me feel so good in my soul and heart..i love opening up a tree and seeing whats hiding inside.

WOW This album blew me away! I'm 57 years old and I don't "gush" but, WOW. My only complaint is that there isn't enough of Rory singing with Joey. When he joins in, the melding of the two voices produces something that is greater than the sum of the parts. Nit-picky, I know 'cause Joey's got a smokey voice that does me in, but still....
I tried to sing this song over the phone to my friend, but couldn't get through it without crying. My little boy is walking around the house singing this song and wants me to print the lyrics out for him, so he can sing it for his 3rd grade class at school.
