Good video, as usual, Bernie. As an amature whipmaker with only a few whips under my belt, I like to see how the Pros do it. This is my favorite part of whipmaking: tying on the fall.

Thank you very much Bernie, as a fellow whipmaker I have been struggling with looseness at the bottom inch of weeks, this tip should help me greatly.

Thanks a million Bernie for sharing this and all your of your other videos. I've learned a lot from you since I've started whip making. I'm on to about my tenth paracord snake whip now and each one is getting slightly better. I've been ending in a 6 strand diamond plait but will give this 8 strand method a go to see if it helps any. I'm always worried that the end near the fall hitch will come undone with use, especially as paracord is slippy in comparison to leather. I love your fall hitch tying technique. That little twist really gets the strands to lie flat. Another technique i will give a try in my next whip. Thanks again!

rayvendeb keep on making those whips, Bernie shared some great techniques with his videos, sadly he passed away about a year ago, but he left us whip makers with some great tips that a lot of us use today 👍

@jeffroseborough Another whip maker Russell Schultz shared this with me about 10 years ago and he had learned it from an old whip maker that he knew.I think it is more secure and it doesn't leave the strand exposed to be hit on the ground like it does with the other method.

Nice video Bernie. I am curious as to why you locked the last strand in the fall knot that way - going under the previous knots. I learned to take it through the fall itself but your way makes sense to me. It looks like it would be more secure your way.
