The weights definitely gives the tractor a completely different look, and makes the tractor complete looking. Great video Roger
What a pleasant sound and sight.
Thanks for another great video Roger! We still use my brothers 720 diesel to cultivate corn and soybeans every summer.
Keep videoing. Love to watch those old tractors.
Another great video, one of the best jobs on the farm! I think it’s great that you take the time to illustrate the details of the equipment and the job at hand as I’m sure a lot of people watching have no idea exactly what and why we’re doing down on the farm.
Thanks! Not everyone likes my commentary but most do. And I don’t mind when someone corrects me on something I’ve said. Helps me learn more about the equipment.
Looks good Roger!
So many beginners on a John Deere never realized that you're supposed to leave the clutch pushed in when you are leaving at set a lot of them just leave the clutch out and it in gear sometimes the clutch can grab on its own and take off with no one on it I've seen that happen before on tractor rides
720 is my favorite of all the 2 cylinders. But I must say. I prefer no muffler 😅. Our 720 and 820 are straight stacks. Music for miles ! 720 is the best fuel efficiency of any diesel I’ve run for days at a time doing real work. You can bushhog forever on a tank.
I think the 730 diesel held the fuel efficiency record for many many years.
Here in the red clay of NC only 3 bottom same plow we are notill now these tractor use little fuel
Skip forward to last 34 seconds to actually see tractor plowing.
Don't you mean 814 plow? I have one just like it for my 70D's.
I checked the decal which I believe is original and it says 810A-14. The manual refers to both 3 bottom and 4 bottom plows as 810A. I think I called it an 812 plow in the video so my mistake. Thanks for the catch.
Is it the camera angle or do you have two different size tires on the rear of the tractor?
Wow! Your hour meter shows 591.3. Original or turned over, i.e. 10,591.3?
Not original. Tractor was restored in 2000 so I’m guessing that’s when a new tach was put in.
@@rogermiller7411 did you restore this tractor or did you buy it that way?
Nothing compares to the wonderful sound of a John Deere 2 banger. That 730 really sounds great.
