I wonder if they could fit a Wingit kite sail; as is the option with SIlentYachts ? And if what the options are for more solar panels for further efficiency ?.
Love the engine room, however, the overall boat styling is bad it reminds me of the "little tugboat" children's story with its box shape. Looking at the sexy motor yachts filled with beautiful women in Miami, Florida you will look like Mr. Bean with a Captain's hat motoring anywhere near them in this boat. It's a shame as the Neel sailboat styling is so beautiful.
I agree. A very ugly boat. For him, NEEL 51 is a .."spaceship". It has no elegance. It was as if the children were playing on an engineering drawing board.
Americans and a lot of Scandinavians like the Trawler and working tug boat lines. They are the car equivalent of people carrier or Estate wagon ..they do what they do very well and keep their owners and their families happy and comfortable on long journeys or days out. Functionalism has never been an issue to many people ... The 2CV and the DS were products of the same Gallic mind. Other folks will love the shape and spaces especially compared to its more angular big brother... A waterborne Citroen CX Safari Estate?
Yachts are an emotional purchase and most affluent owners want a better sense of style, especially at price points reaching 2 million dollars. This is a major marketing gamble for Neel and future Owners as likely the Leen sales will be weak. Many yachts accomplish the above attributes just visit the Miami or Fort Lauderdale boat shows for a dazzling array of different designs. Good luck finding a marina slips large enough for this beastly beam. Citroen CX Safari? or maybe perhaps Zastava Yugo 45 or Skoda 110 R.
Hello, I had the opportunity to attend the LIVE LAUNCH of LEEN 56 and to have a Facetime for a private visit, and I assure you that the capabilities of fridge are interesting . :)
@@mariegathuon4954 yeah same. I was also at the live launch. Not really the boat for me I decided. While not very important the looks are terrible and it has limited room compared to a cat or monohull
@@sadenuttie2234 Trimarans always seem to have too little space. There should be a way to arrange them so that they don't, by using the horizontal space across above the hulls, the same way catamarans do. But it doesn't appear to get done that way. That said, I'm interested in anything that can take my family across oceans without sails, and that I might have a prayer of being able to afford. So this is on my possible list. But I would need to tweak the inside a fair bit, and I don't know how much customization this company allows. Does anyone else?
@@norarivkis2513 you are correct, trimarans have very limited space for their beam, as the hulls are not really wide enough to fit much in. I don’t know how much customisation they allow, but for this price point I would look towards Bering, nordhaven, and for catamarans illiad and aventura
@@sadenuttie2234 I wish I could afford the Nordhavns! They're incredible. Unfortunately, with five adult-sized family members to house, we need more space than the smallest Nordhavns, and the larger ones are out of our price range. Older Berings are a possibility for us, but I am concerned about the fuel costs if we're trying to get transoceanic distances on gas or diesel power, which is why I'm looking at the solar models when I can. I wish we could afford the new Silent catamarans, they'd be perfect for us... the problem is they're _too_ new, meaning there's been no used ones for sale at lower cost yet. I'm figuring maybe we look for a trawler and accept the fuel costs for a few years, and see if we can get a solar after they've had a chance to hit the resale market in a while.
Love this concept
Very close to the magical 1 liter per kilometer. Bravo leen!
Finally somebody came with an original idea and realized it too .
Very nice trimaran 🙌😍😍😍! I like it👏👏👏👏👏

I wish @NEEL-TRIMARANS GROUP can answer this question.

totally sweet boat
Needs a larger fridge for a transoceanic boat, very nice but I still think I would take a nordhavem with a sea keeper.

I really love the sailing NEEL trimarans but this vessel seems like a reach TBH. Hoping I'm wrong. Anyone know how many orders they have for it?
lots of areas for solar panels.
How many leen 56 trimaran have you built so far???
Hi, there is 2 LEEN 56 cruising so far, and soon 2 LEEN 72.
@@neel-trimaransgroup Thanks for your response greatly appreciated.
@@SCYorks No problem! If you want more information, don't hesitate to contact us through our website.
Needs a bow sprit
All those raised hatches on the side decks are a tripping hazard, esp. in poor visibility. Should be flush like the 72.
