My father died when I was 11 years old. Shortly after that, my mother took all of us (5 children) to pray at the altar of St. Joseph in our church. She told us that St. Joseph would take care of us as he took care of Jesus. 10 years later, I met the man who has now been my husband for 53 years. His name is Joseph.
I'm not even Catholic but hear this. I began to fall in love with lilies a few months ago. I began looking into Catholic saints a few weeks ago. I began praying to St. Joseph last night asking him to help my family and all the fathers. To see him holding lilies was like, maybe God was leading me here.
St Joseph was the most surprising part of my returning to the church. My husband asked me one day, very softly, “what about Joseph?” And that day opened an unexpected door. I’ve felt St Joseph in ways I’ve never felt any of my other beloved saints. I love him so much.

St.Joseph is a model of human fatherhood and the Holy Family are a model for human family life. Thanks be to God these devotions are arising now. Having been introduced to this book (2021) was I think my religious experience. I, from being a nominal catholic, I think had my conversion story when I as soon as I progressed with my daily reading to the 33-day Consecration started to feel the love of priesthood. I underwent my minor seminary formation and as of right now I am taking a seminary break. I may have gone astray, but, I still have the love ro serving God and His people. I am on my 2nd day of my renewal to the Consecration. Brethren, I ask of you to pray for me and of my intentions --the priesthood. 🙏

Thank you for this. When I was in high school in the sixties I recall looking at the statue of St. Joseph and thinking that I just couldn’t feel anything which would lead me to have devotion to him or pray to him. Then just several months ago I began wanting to cultivate devotion to him. Then I learned that Pope Francis has declared this the year of St. Joseph and now there is a consecration to him! Talk about timely! I will definitely look up some of the saints’ references to him.
St Joseph is the only man that God had to OBEY. (Under Jewish law both wife and children have to love, honour and obey the patriarch of the family. Since Joseph was head of Jesus' family not only did Our Lady have to obey him but so did Jesus...think about that God (incarnated as Jesus, in keeping with his own commandment/law that children must always obey their father and mother) had to obey St Joseph. Every other saint and indeed person in history had to obey God, even our lady. I once heard a sermon where the priest said if you ask God for something chances are high you won't get it because we are foolish and He as father wants to give us something BETTER that we might not realise at the time; if you ask Mary then she will intercede and as a loving son Jesus might refuse initially or delay as he did at the wedding in Canaan but He will probably do as she asks when He thinks the time is just right. You have to be careful when you ask St Joseph for his intercession because if your request is a good one than he will take it to Jesus and Jesus must obey, he can not refuse His foster father! So be very careful what you ask for when you ask St Joe to intercede - if it is a good intention then it will be granted as is and then you'll be stuck with it!

You are so right,..I've always loved St. Joseph...but this year I've been reaching out to him so much..sending him to my children, to the fatherless, to the women alone..at first. Didn't understand,..but then the church started speaking more about Joseph..and I felt as the spirit had lead me to him..now his a part of all my prayers,.and he fits in so perfect as to what my heart is asking..why wouldn't he be the father to all those who not...to me so many things are falling in place. I found this book at a book store by chance. Actually I wanted (still want) to know about St. Joseph, but I couldn’t find a material suitable to me. But I got this book. With it, I was able to consecrate myself to St. Joseph and getting to know my spiritual father. I do believe that Holy Spirit has led me to this book in the book store. I’m learning a lot about the Catholic Religion through these videos. I was raised Lutheran but my Mother allowed me to attend Catholic Church with my best friend when I was in grade school and I continue to have a strong need - a calling if you will- to convert but I just don’t know how to go about it.
You could visit your nearest Catholic parish (just google "Catholic Church near me") and speak with the priest there, informing him of your interest in the Catholic faith. He will be happy to help you out!
I suggest listening to Fr Mike Schmitz, Fr Calloway, Fr Mitch Pacwa, Fr Benedict Groeschel; I could go on and on but Dr Hahn's books are extraordinary. Actually, when you are ready, Bible in a year and Catechism in a year with Fr Mike Schmitz is extraordinary as well. I hope this helps. God bless.

I love the covenant language. I wish that our Catholic people would understand how important the Covenant is in understanding how this Divine food is needed to have eternal life. The writings of the mystic Maria Valtorta gives a wonderful insight into the Holy Family with St Joseph's marriage to Our Lady being a very hard time (for a short time) after She returned from the "visitation" obviously pregnant. Valtorta, by writing 3,500 pages, whilst disabled, in bed, also gives a wonderful insight into the the life of Jesus, Mary and the Apostles as well as the lives of the early believers who knew Jesus as the Messiah.

I chose St. Joseph as my patron. (I got baptized on Easter.) There are many great saints that inspire me. As a English historian I thought about (The venerable) Saint Bede. Or perhaps St. Eusebius, the church historian. But I always had a connection with Saint Joseph. It was always going to be him. I attended his Solemnity mass. I came to the church in the year of Saint Joseph. I lacked a father figure in my early years. And it felt like he chose me before I had chosen him. I want to be the man he is. A truly great man. More young men should look up to him. I know I do.

While praying the rosary last night, an inspiration came to me (thanks to the Holy Spirit). Why is it that there is mention of Pontius Pilate in the Apostles' Creed, but no mention of St. Joseph? I believe there should be a statement about him in it, somewhere between "...born of the Virgin Mary" and "...suffered under Pontius Pilate..." I believe the statement should be one that describes St. Joseph's caring masculine influence on the young Jesus...something like "...raised under St. Joseph's guardianship" or "...sheltered by St. Joseph" or something like that. My father died when I was 11 years old. Shortly after that, my mother took all of us (5 children) to pray at the altar of St. Joseph in our church. St.Joseph is a model of human fatherhood and the Holy Family are a model for human family life. Thanks be to God these devotions are arising now. We must keep praying, fasting and living lives worthy of the Gospel. God hears the cries of His children and He knows what we shall endure before we endure it. Father Colloway I purchased the book and concecrated myself to St. Joseph very powerful book. Learned a lot. I also concecrated myself to Mary. Having been introduced to this book (2021) was I think my religious experience. I, from being a nominal catholic, I think had my conversion story when I as soon as I progressed with my daily reading to the 33-day Consecration started to feel the love of priesthood. I underwent my minor seminary formation and as of right now I am taking a seminary break. I may have gone astray, but, I still have the love ro serving God and His people. Thank you for this. When I was in high school in the sixties I recall looking at the statue of St. Joseph and thinking that I just couldn’t feel anything which would lead me to have devotion to him or pray to him. Then just several months ago I began wanting to cultivate devotion to him. Then I learned that Pope Francis has declared this the year of St. Joseph and now there is a consecration to him! Talk about timely! I will definitely look up some of the saints’ references to him.
St Joseph is the only man that God had to OBEY. (Under Jewish law both wife and children have to love, honour and obey the patriarch of the family. Since Joseph was head of Jesus' family not only did Our Lady have to obey him but so did Jesus...think about that God (incarnated as Jesus, in keeping with his own commandment/law that children must always obey their father and mother) had to obey St Joseph. Every other saint and indeed person in history had to obey God, even our lady.
I once heard a sermon where the priest said if you ask God for something chances are high you won't get it because we are foolish and He as father wants to give us something BETTER that we might not realise at the time; if you ask Mary then she will intercede and as a loving son Jesus might refuse initially or delay as he did at the wedding in Canaan but He will probably do as she asks when He thinks the time is just right. You have to be careful when you ask St Joseph for his intercession because if your request is a good one than he will take it to Jesus and Jesus must obey, he can not refuse His foster father! So be very careful what you ask for when you ask St Joe to intercede - if it is a good intention then it will be granted as is and then you'll be stuck with it!

I found this book at a book store by chance. Actually I wanted (still want) to know about St. Joseph, but I couldn’t find a material suitable to me. But I got this book. With it, I was able to consecrate myself to St. Joseph and getting to know my spiritual father. I do believe that Holy Spirit has led me to this book in the book store. I’m learning a lot about the Catholic Religion through these videos. I was raised Lutheran but my Mother allowed me to attend Catholic Church with my best friend when I was in grade school and I continue to have a strong need - a calling if you will- to convert but I just don’t know how to go about it.
You could visit your nearest Catholic parish (just google "Catholic Church near me") and speak with the priest there, informing him of your interest in the Catholic faith. He will be happy to help you out!
I suggest listening to Fr Mike Schmitz, Fr Calloway, Fr Mitch Pacwa, Fr Benedict Groeschel; I could go on and on but Dr Hahn's books are extraordinary. Actually, when you are ready, Bible in a year and Catechism in a year with Fr Mike Schmitz is extraordinary as well. I hope this helps. God bless.

I love the covenant language. I wish that our Catholic people would understand how important the Covenant is in understanding how this Divine food is needed to have eternal life. It hurts me to know that only 30 percent of Catholics believe in the “Real Presence”. There’s been a breakdown in the teaching of the Covenant. “God remembers his Covenant forever”. Amen!

The writings of the mystic Maria Valtorta gives a wonderful insight into the Holy Family with St Joseph's marriage to Our Lady being a very hard time (for a short time) after She returned from the "visitation" obviously pregnant. Valtorta, by writing 3,500 pages, whilst disabled, in bed, also gives a wonderful insight into the the life of Jesus, Mary and the Apostles as well as the lives of the early believers who knew Jesus as the Messiah.

I chose St. Joseph as my patron. (I got baptized on Easter.) There are many great saints that inspire me.
As a English historian I thought about (The venerable) Saint Bede. Or perhaps St. Eusebius, the church historian. But I always had a connection with Saint Joseph. It was always going to be him. I attended his Solemnity mass. I came to the church in the year of Saint Joseph. I lacked a father figure in my early years. And it felt like he chose me before I had chosen him. I want to be the man he is. A truly great man. More young men should look up to him. I know I do.

While praying the rosary last night, an inspiration came to me (thanks to the Holy Spirit). Why is it that there is mention of Pontius Pilate in the Apostles' Creed, but no mention of St. Joseph? I believe there should be a statement about him in it, somewhere between "...born of the Virgin Mary" and "...suffered under Pontius Pilate..." I believe the statement should be one that describes St. Joseph's caring masculine influence on the young Jesus...something like "...raised under St. Joseph's guardianship" or "...sheltered by St. Joseph" or something like that. Thanks for this video. I'm from the Philippines, btw.
