I will agree war thunder is trash, but because its a waste of money and time if you want to unlock top tier without paying a buttload of money. To reach top tier jets on an easier research tree like japan, you would need to win every game and play close to top of team for around 300 hours straight (This may be outdated so it might take longer but somebody did the math). This would mean you would need to play the game for 12 hours a day, getting top score and winning every match, for about a month. And if you can't carry your team every game and don't have a big cache of silver lions you can basically take that time double or even triple that if you include grinding for silver lions to play jets, lost matches and low score matches, or if you play stuff like arcade every now and then. You can easily get close to 1000 hours grinding for a single top tier vehicle on one tree for free.

If Centauro is so good why didn’t they make a second one? THEY DID
The Centauro B1 had a 105mm gun, the B2 have a 120/45 mm gun, completely stabilized wich permit to firing on mouvement(with automatic ammunitions system and choice of projectiles type, derived of Naval Compatto 76mm turret, wich permit to have 3 only crew(all others blindos 4 men, i think), lateral actives-protections(exploding tablets, anti squash-heads shots), automatic 12,7 turret by internal command and other improvements.. love that its a 120mm and not a 105mm, but you cant call it a tank as its a MGS (Mobile Gun System) .They need to add this to world of tanks. Much respect to my italian tankers

Also very interesting feature: a squad of these attack you like a "pack of wolves" because a special datalink system shares instantly all balistic data (wind, air density and so on) and targeting coordinates... so one Centauro can aim at a target and data is immediately shared allowing any of the group to fire on it or all to fire simultaneously at it. 😊

Come qualità di mezzi siamo messi bene, il problema è che non li produciamo, con 200 ariete (cioè quelli che abbiamo) non ci facciamo neanche mezza divisione.
@@francescob.7277 ho sentito che l'Italia ha sempre preferito i mezzi corazzati leggeri su ruota/cacciacarri agli mbt classici perchè i cingolati con l'orografia che ci ritroviamo fra alpi e appennini sono inutili in grandi numeri e difficili da spostare.

Italia non e ingrado ne di attaccare ne di difendere perche esercito italiano fa schifo riescono fare un po di cose sul appoggio di altri.
@Giuseppe Battagliese ma poi sono tutti danari dilapidati perchè non ci sono i supporti logistici e piani di difesa. Hanno costruito un costoso giocattolone che non useranno nelle missioni per paura di perdere i pochi costosi modelli operativi. Se ne servissero 30 o 40 in più il piano della difesa è di diluirne la costruzione su ANNI, senza contare i pezzi di ricambio.
la sensatezza dovrebbe essere di decidersi se mantenere un esercito veramente efficiente altrimenti tanto vale proclamare la neutralità tramite la Svezia e spendere quei soldi in altro. così è tutto inutile, se domani avessimo bisogno dell'esercito sarebbe come nel 40. Anni di eroici racconti per non dirsi che io nemico è chi ci manda a morire nudi alla meta.

@@frisos8850 Why? We are upgrading the Ariete in order to keep it until 2030 then we will likely build a new MBT with Spain and Poland since France and Germany don't want other counteies in their project.

@@francescoboselli6033 la torretta non è neanche elettrica è una delle migliorie che saranno fatte, il problema dello scafo dell'Ariete e che non sappiamo come è fatto M1 Abrams è fatto piastre metalliche, blocchi di ceramica, ariete ha bisogno di protezioni aggiuntive ecco perchè il motore era troppo poco potente e viene portato a 1600 HP ma non so se lui e fatto con blocchi di ceramica
@@MassimoErcolani il problema è che tutti i suoi sistemi d'arma e di puntamento sono obsoleti. Andrebbero praticamente sostituita tutta l'elettronica dei sistemi di puntamento e dei visori. Per quello dicevo che farebbero prima a cambiare la torretta. Anche il cannone andrebbe cambiato, o per lo meno dovrebbero sviluppare un nuova munizione con almeno 1000m-1100m di penetrazione se vuole essere al pari con gli standard attuali. Ma dubito che possano implementare un nuova munizione con questo potenziale, su un cannone così vecchio.

Mobility over protection. I see where they are going with it. It has a pretty tall profile and certainly isn't going to eat as much damage as almost anything else sporting a main gun this big... But if you take Italy's geography into account, it's an extremely good way to get a mobile 120mm cannon up into the high ground of the Alps and Appennino chain where tracked vehicles will either struggle or simply can't traverse the land, meaning Italy's forces can defend the country from land invasion from the north (the only direction a land invasion can come from) in two stages using the terrain as a natural fortress, still using combined arms tactics whereas invading forces will be limited to attacking with infantry and light cav with limited air support rendering the bulk of their forces to try and push down either side of the Appennino chain to reach Rome, then the south so they can try and surround the defenders, but Italy will use hit and run tactics to grind down the advance now with these fast moving 120mm guns and it's going to be extremely costly for any attacker because they will always be on the high ground where they can retreat to cover/safety... of course, this is all providing the invaders can even break through the Alps first...
This gun on this vehicle for this country makes perfect sense.
Actually the Centauro was originally conceived for the other scenario.
MBTs aren't really made to travel on their tracks for hundreds of kms. It takes time to load them on trains or trucks and, while transported, they are completely defenseless.
Wheeled tank destroyers can travel for hundreds of kms in few hours on their wheels, and being ready to fight all the time.
During the cold war, much of the Italian Army was deployed in the north-east, on the Jugoslavian border. The question was: "what if the Varsavia Pact decides to attempt a landing across the Otranto Strait instead?". The Centauro was the answer. It could be there in few hours and contend the landing points until the arrival of the armored units.
