Summary 👇
European arts were getting more influence in India and Indian art wqs being degraded. It worsened more when British opened their own school of arts.
E.B Havell was transferred to Calcutta University and met Abanindranath Tagore. They both were against copying European art and found a new style by mixing two Japanese art styles with European style which was called, "Wash Technique." This was called Indian Revival Art at the beginning as it later spread to many parts of India.
