What I love about this channel is so simple: guys just tell stories. They talk to us. With TH-cam, and TV and everything, we get so used to cartoons and pictures jump-cuts, but we rarely get to see a guy (in this case an expert) just sit down and talk about cars.
I have worked closely with Randy and speak to him at least once every ten days. There is no finer gentleman than Randy. He and I have formed a fantastic friendship over the past few years. Randy is a most unique,humble,beautiful person. I’m proud to say he’s a good friend. Just talked with him this evening for 39 minutes. Rebell Dwag.
Good to know Randy Pobst has the same craigslist/bring a trailer addiction that so many of us "suffer" from. The room full of motorcycles seemed like a preview of what I would do if I had the funds, haha. Sidenote, I got to participate in the Xtreme Experience at NCM motorsports park and it was an absolute blast! Trying (and failing miserably) to keep up with e85 evo 10's with near slicks in supercars with street tires is amazing!

Dude I loved my S60 before it got nuked. Volvos are sleeping monsters, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They're wrong, stupid or both. And if it has a T5? You can bet your ass it's coming to clean house.
I always loved the episode of Roadkill where they had him testing the Draguar. He seemed genuinely enthused about being out there with it. I love this guys love of cars. Every quirky or oddball car is his favorite.

Randy and Michael Galati came out to an Audi Club day in Colorado in probably 2004 or 2005? Anywho, you both did some laps around the track in my dad’s Mini Cooper S. He still talks about when you got to drive his track car! Thanks for the memories.
I saw that garage at AMP a several years ago. Didn't get to meet the owner but could see what looked like a world challenge volvo on dollys way in the back. Pretty cool cars.
The first car my dad owned in America and basically first car my family ever had when we moved to America was an 850 Turbo R. One of the greatest cars I ever got to experience. Some of the best memories too. Considering getting one and surprising my dad one day.
Saw a V70 R "shaming" a Boxster from a stoplight. Volvo guy even gave him a head start. Then I only heard "vrooomm", and the Volvo was in front in a few seconds, despite the Porsche screaming his lungs out.
I daily a V70T5 with a 300hp tune. I love it, it's got perfect balance of handling and ride and power. I miss my 740 turbo wagon that near opposite lock drifted off the Spring Lake exit every snowy, rainy chance I could. Good times.
What a awsome guy and one of the most accomplished professional drivers always awsome personality the go to guy for testing new vehicles with little to no prep time with new performance vehicles he still sets impressive lap times
I worker on the v70 when Zeke owned it he is an amazing guy and has many Volvo wagons doing work on his cars at two in the morning to put my wife through College two see this makes me happy and thank you Zeke you are a kind and wonderful person it's nice to here that car went to a cool guy rock on. This is what being a car guy is all about. It's not lap times or dyno numbers or brand that matters. It's the size of the grin it puts on your face. Some of the most fun cars I've had have also been the slowest.
My dad had the same saab but with a V4 engine. Used to drive it up and down the motorway from Scotland to engine at about 110mph (redlining it) from a full to empty tank
Glad to know I'm not alone with my Volvo R enthusiasm. Randy nailed it as to why they're so great..."they just feel right." Sure, there are plenty of cars that are faster, or handle better, but few that just feel so right as a good Volvo. My wagon is total beast in the snow, though. Love mine!
I love Randy’s enthusiasm. Besides being a great driver, I just imagine him being the kind of guy you could could sit and talk about cars with for hours, just for fun, just hanging out.
