3 led for 1/2 the race, Noah hits turbo at the 50m mark and accelerates past everyone. Track has been a joy to watch.
That top end is unmatched
Speed maintenance. His top end is similar to the orher guys, as seen from 60...80, all going side by side. Past 80m Lyles loses less than then others. Classical Lyles maintaining 0.84s from 60 to 90 and 0.85s from 90 to 100m.

@@Yes_I_c4ntrue! kenny had a worse transition than lyles from 50-60 as his hips were at a more severe angle and lyle’s maintained a neutral hip position which allowed him to have a higher knee strike and maintain his turnover; lyles is also just lighter on his feet. I feel like kenny can be a 100m gold contender at a future world championship when he figures out his form like lyles has 😁

Noah Lyles is fun to watch. He won Gold in the 100 meter race, and in the 200 meter, not being 100% - even with his asthma AND COVID - he still sped past all but 2 runners and claimed bronze, which means his 'worst' is still better than other's best. We can never know what obstacles life will throw at us on any given day and it's how we face it that shows our true character. Instead of sitting out the 2nd race, Noah decided to take the risk and came up with some nice 'hardware'. I would still call this a win and an inspiration to others but we must all evaluate and get some advice from med pros before attempting something that challenges our physical limits at a high level. Then it becomes a well-informed risk. Good luck and Godspeed, Noah, on all of your fast-paced adventures!
