- Local law enforcement, the FBI and the Secret Service address the arrest a man in an apparent attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump. During the news conference, they released more information on 58-year-old suspect Ryan Routh.

I want to thank the witness who was aware of their surroundings and saw the man running away and jumping into his vehicle. She took action without any hesitation and took a picture of the license plate on the vehicle. I do have a question though for the secret service and any other government personnel who were there that day. How in the world was this man on the grounds of the golf club for twelve hours with a gun, two backpacks and a go pro? There should have been someone noticing him and the gun in his possession. I do want to thank the security service sniper who saw him and took immediate action. It was way too close and so much time before he was noticed. This should have never happened.

Was anyone fired after the failure to secure the area and provide appropriate communications between SS and local police in the first attempt? SS Director listed all these protections in place yet none of them secured the perimeter?
