Thank you for making it easy to understand so glad you didn’t go into a whole big long story about your life history he went right to the problem I appreciate that
Thankyou for the information, but what do you do when the minute hand is at quarter past the hour and the chiming cam is chiming 8 beats or 12 beats to the bar instead of 4 beats at a quarter past the hour? such as in the case of an Enfield Westminster mantle clock from the 1930s as most old clocks these days have the original operating instructions pasted on the rear door of the clock missing? Jim from AUSTRALIA.
That's a beautiful chime, what the name of that clock? Also thanks it fixed my clock your method! Question when mine chimes some of the notes have a nice echo but some of the chimes sound like ones finger is on the chime and it has just a thump sound, how can I fix that?
What happens on my Grandmother clock if the hour hand doesn’t follow the minute hand. When I need to adjust the time, normally I can move the minute hand and the hour hand follows but for some reason the hour and stay in place even if I move the minute hand around multiple times and the clock isn’t chiming on the 1/4 hour as the minute hand moves around
I have an Elgin mantle clock and it continues to ring the hour on the half hour mark and ring once on the hour mark. Have moved the hands to compensate many times but it continues to frustrate. any suggestions??
This looks just like my Howard Miller mantel clock. My instructions say to always/only turn the minute hand backwards/counterclockwise, now I am confused? My clock strikes 4 hours ahead, if I move the hour hand to the hour it struck, then do I move the minute hand backwards? Nothing makes sense to me. Help!
Just bought a clock like that one today at the thrift store for $5. I winded it up. Did what you just did to see if it starts ticking & nothing. What can I do.

Hi. I have a Seiko Corona Melodia table clock from 60s. It has dual alarm, one ringing bell alarm and a music box. The clock works just fine after i cleaned and oiled the movement but both the bell alarm and music box alarm rings four hours late. Like, if it's set to 08:00 it rings at 12:00.. How do i adjust it? Thanks in advance.
Move the hour hand to the time it is chiming. If it chimes 12 times move the "hour" hand to the 12. Then move the min hand to the correct time and it should be reset. Let me know if you have any other problems
@@ClockRepairService thanks a lot for the reply. this clock is not a chime clock but there is a music box. allow me to add the link of only example i could find on internet

My mantle clock is battery run, and I can't access the clock face to remove the minute hand. If my clock is striking the hour five minutes later than it should be, how do I fix it?

what ever the chime count is, move the hour hand to match the count. In other words, if it strikes 5 times, move the hour hand to the #5. After that, move the minute hand around to the correct time. I hope this helps.
You can move the hour hand to the hour corresponding to the number of chimes. If it cimes 10 time, move the hr hand to 10, then move the min hand forward to the correct time.
Good to see clock repair folks still in business. I imagine in this technocratic world it's probably more of a hobby or side hustle now.

@@ClockRepairService the clock movement is connected to the music box movement and you can set the music box for alarm.

Your clock has 3 key hols like mine but how do you know which hole is for what? One for the time one for the chime and one for what?
The center is for the time, the right is for the 1/4 hour chime and the left is for the hour striking.
Clock chimes oonly once on the hour any hour and the haft hour 4:30 4 chimes, 530 five times.
Grand father clock chimes get locked in on the top

The only thing I know is just push the minute hand back to the 12:00 position. DO NOT EVER Touch the hour hand.
Why does the chime get messed up sometimes?
What are the holes for
My hour hand gets to exactly 5 minutes to 12 and it chimes early. I don't know how to reset it
How does the minute hand go onto the clock. Is it a rectangle hole or square hole?
Unfortunately, I can’t open the clock face
