He should've dumped Linda & got together with Rose. We, the fans, would've had a good three years of them together. I know it's a sitcom, but they had a great relationship.
Rose didn’t play this game very well. She went straight from paying the ante to all in on her first hand. She needed to work on slowly building the pot.
It always bothered me that the show-runners could not see when this show should have ended. Part of being a great show is knowing when to pack it in; like "TBBT" did. This show ran way longer than it should have and don't even get me started on that entire Ashton Kutcher fiasco! I am still trying to push that whole thing down into places in my mind where it could never resurface again! This is the end I would have loved to have seen.....I would have loved to see the show end with Charlie getting married to Rose, but then in a delicious twist of irony, getting divorced from her, losing all his riches to her, all while also having a son with her and ending up living in Alan's house who somehow got rich again - and Berta is now working for Alan!! That would have been the proper way to end this show! What people have to keep in mind is that irony was the centerpiece of how this show's comedy was structured. Sort the way they killed Charlie in the finale. The show made everyone believe there would be a happy ending to this show but happy endings are not how this show works!
The Big Bang Theory ran AT LEAST 3 seasons too long, just like Two And A Half Men. Chuck Lorre always does that, with Dharma and Greg where the last 2 seasons were trash, and Mom too where the last 2 were utter shit.. Young Sheldon is already getting there.

That would be a great and more dignifying ending, for sure. But I have to agree with others regarding TBBT, it went longer than it should, and that's how it lost everything that made it special. I personally hate how the show focused too much in the relationships, making all the guys the bottom of the jokes at all times.
