  • As a cat parent, receiving a cancer diagnosis can be devastating. In this webinar, Dr. Liz Bales and Dr. Margie Scherk will take you through taking the next steps to get treatment, make decisions, and find support through this process.
According to the Animal Cancer Society, an estimated 1 in 5 cats will develop cancer in their lifetime. Obtaining a diagnosis is the first step and your vet can guide you through treatment options that are best for your cat's individual prognosis. We'll discuss what's needed to get a diagnosis, treatment options including chemotherapy, the importance of starting treatment early and making changes as needed, administering medication, and plans for palliation and comfort care.
Join our free webinar to find support from both veterinary experts who have guided patients through this process, as well as from other cat parents who may be going through a similar experience as you are. Can't join us live? Register now & we'll send out a complete recording of the event the next day.

I had to euthanize my 5 year old tortishell on 12/18 X-ray show a huge abdominal mass higher up toward her stomach that had blood vessels going through it. dr said it was inoperable and prognosis with chemo would be 3-6 months. I had to let her go suddenly and feel like I made a huge mistake I am weeping uncontrollably all day.

You did what you thought was the best and most kind thing, so while it is hard, please do not blame yourself. Letting them go is the last act of love, and when we can be there with them, all they know is that you are there.

@@XBASS247 I am very sorry to hear about the awful experience with the vet. You clearly love your cat . I firmly believe that what we do is repaid to us so the people involved will be 'repaid' one day in some way in time. Please remember all the good times you had with your lovely cat as a way of going on with life.

Thank you for this eye opening information to help cope and assess my cat's cancer journey. Most vets do not know how to guide pet owners with these pertinent details with this sad situation.

Turkey tail mushroom saved my cat life from small cell lymphoma when the vet suggested euthanizing. Check out mushroom options.
