One of the best bands ever. One of the best songwriters ever. Some of the best and most influential songs ever. Their place at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was reserved before the Hall was ever open.
The greatest Rock'N Roll band of all times. The first concert I ever saw live, back in 82. And never a more interesting tale of young British musicians in America back in 65.
Ray said in an interview that Dave was insufferable, but he had just sent him a birthday card saying "Why do I love you so much?" or something sappy like that. One of them tried to commit suicide and the other one came to take care of him. Dave started the band and Ray came in and took over. He probably resented that.
WTF this so much ,love, madness, and everything in a couple of sentences, seems like a comedy ,with Real life trama, they have some funny histories to tell i want to now more, i need see a documentary,
Love, love all the great rock and roll i grew up with but.......NOTHING! EVER! Made me as happy as listening to Ray Davies ad the Kinks. The greatest Rock band I have ever known! But i love fools and horses too! thank you Wankers.....Just givin ya one ya wanker....cheers

Yes he did. As much as I appreciate RD's brilliance, he is often times a jerk towards Dave and I consider that more than sibling rivalry. People rightly say the Kinks are underrated and since that's the case, Dave is incredibly underrated. Incredible band throughout all their many reincarnations.
Just like in any relationship (and, from experience, the relationship between two brothers can be very, very complicated), the only people who have a chance at understanding it are the two people in it. We, on the outside, will never truly know what either of them feel.
Bought the first Kinks' album on Reprise in 1964 ? Love you guys forever, and people listen to Muswell Hillbillys - underappreciated jewel. The Hollies mostly sucked.

Kinks are rock and roll, Kinks are punk, Kinks are political satire, Kinks are F you, kinks, are real, Kinks rule!

Riff Rock. Second only to the Beatles as most "Influential."
These brits are so spot on with their humor I’m cracking up can’t stop laughing...God bless them.
Glad the original line-up all attended.
The Kinks: Best Band Ever
saw the kinks in the early 70s and to this day one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Everyone was sporting a mullet back then. Come to think of it, so was I.
One Hellava mullet on Nash!
ty I been wanting to watch their induction
Graham was an early supporter of the kinks-his intro cracked me up
Ray was interviewed when he was 22yrs old and said the hollies were his favorite group
So great the old HOF induction ceremonies. Now they are hyper-produced.
Ray said in an interview that Dave was insufferable, but he had just sent him a birthday card saying "Why do I love you so much?" or something sappy like that. One of them tried to commit suicide and the other one came to take care of him. Dave started the band and Ray came in and took over. He probably resented that.
Hey thanks for that info hey!! :D
WTF this so much ,love, madness, and everything in a couple of sentences, seems like a comedy ,with Real life trama, they have some funny histories to tell i want to now more, i need see a documentary,

That's Ahmet Ertegun introducing Graham Nash.
Good to see that fantastic man, Ahmet Ertegun.
Garage sounding band at it's finest X

Given their history, I half-expected a fistfight to break out between Dave and Mick during this ceremony.
Pete hahaha Ohhh that cymbal 🤣🤣
I'll give a thumbs up to whoever posts Part 2.
I like the original Kinks! The line up in the 70/80 ties not the same! The real Kinks are the Original-line up!
Blues have a lot to answer for,.......thank goodness

They're so glad thats indivi... likes thems.not too.many artists, get. Reckn..
The kinks, the bros, get more attention. Then the hollies, wow.
Did Ray actually say to Dave 'speak dummy speak'?
Yes he did. As much as I appreciate RD's brilliance, he is often times a jerk towards Dave and I consider that more than sibling rivalry. People rightly say the Kinks are underrated and since that's the case, Dave is incredibly underrated. Incredible band throughout all their many reincarnations.
yep.

It was a joking reference to the fact that Ray's speech was in front of Dave.
Bought the first Kinks' album on Reprise in 1964 ? Love you guys forever, and people listen to Muswell Hillbillys - underappreciated jewel. The Hollies mostly sucked.
Graham Nash's assessment of the Kink's was pretty stock, could have said the same about 90% of all rock bands, just sayin
"They're English"
Ray didn't speak????
What, no Ray?
sorry,but I have only Part 1 :(
Don't fuck up !
Good to see Graham Hash looking dreadful as ever.
C'mon, Ahmet pronounce their name right, eh ?
Shel Talmy just BURIED the vocals......pity
