I'm not one to act impulsively, but Mr Arnott has outlined some viable alternatives to what is shaping up to be a rather uncertain US economy/market!

Q: Are day traders the smartest investors?
    A: No, they 'are not'.

Cheap doesn’t mean quality. Sometimes you got to pay more for quality things. Low can go lower.

Fantastic analysis, as always. Might I suggest that "transitory hyperinflation" is already here. It's just not reflected in the CPI which is specific designed to understate actual inflation in consumer prices.

The only sound EM market I can think off is Eastern Europe. Western values, EU driven economic and legal reforms, free economy and high skilled workers. Eastern Europe population is around 300 millions.

👍👍👍👍. Supply and demand for stocks is one of the topics I would love for Rob to cover.... If investors continue to be bullish on technology stocks, tech stocks will continue to go up or remain steady... All the big tech companies continue to see revenue growth, EBIT growth, operating cash flow growth, and free cash flow growth....

Failed to discuss risk of emerging markets and international markets. They are not so stable and can quickly change there.

The elephant in the room his Humean argument, as it is called in logic. That is, he presumes the future will be like the past: the rates of return will be like that past given these starting points with P/E's, but the future has no necessary connection to the past and is subject to difference forces as the world uniquely evolves. So do not put faith in his estimates of future returns; they are educated guesses, but still guesses for which there is no estimable probability; it is unknown and unknowable, not a matter for quantification, really, since that is misleading precision, artificial, at base, given the unknown risks, seductive and misleading numbers.
