Many people overlook the intricacies of boxing and fail to recognize why Jake chose to fight Nate Diaz to improve himself. In this match, Jake threw 490 punches, three more than he has ever achieved before, across 10 rounds. His team knew the goal: Nate was expected to be tough, skilled at absorbing blows, and able to push Jake to exert himself more than ever. That's exactly what happened. This fight was all about Jake getting accustomed to spending time in the ring, and it's likely to be a turning point in his progression and improvement as a boxer.

Congrats on all the success wade lad, also can we just talk about the fact that there isn’t one opponent in jakes entire career other than josh Thompson that by the end of the fight you knew if they took the time limit away Nate is going to take their soul… he has to be one of the scariest fighters to ever put a pair of gloves on! I don’t know it it would have been in the 15th round or later but Jake was going to eventually wilt and be taken to the darkest place he could ever imagine, not being ko’d stiff by power punches but hit over and over again after being to exhausted to even hold up his hands or throw back! I thought it was Jake's best performance. Almost zero clinching. He had a game plan and executed it. He definitely looked like a boxer with his foot work, and combinations. Nate was nate. Human tank. Crazy
Bro there's no way you watched the fight.... There was hugging the whole time and the ref was constantly telling Jake to stop holding... Did you watch the same thing lol? Go back and rewatch and listen.
@antoniokehoe2363 Lol. You are delusional brotha. Lmao. Compared to all his other fights, it's not even close.. it was nate who initiated the clinch. Clearly haven't watch any ofvthe other fights. Quit hating. 😆
That was one of Jake’s easiest fights. That performance was way worse than Anderson & the Tommy fight. If he fought someone who could actually Throw which Nate clearly didn’t in boxing.

Nah you’ve completely earned all of this though, don’t even thank us, of course I know you will but you owe us nothing you’re the best in this niche of content and even a better commentator than all the pros you sit next to 😂 keep smashing it
That performance from Jake wasn’t impressive when you compare it to the Anderson or Tommy fight. Jake struggled with pressure from Nate who didn’t do much & wasn’t taking this seriously. That is How Nate is. KSI’s main strength is pressure.
I really wanted Nate to win as many others, but really everyone won. The fans saw a great fight, two guys throwing down, giving everyone there a thrill, what could be better? Also, Nate the work horse , actually increased his value , as a bonafide fighter, where as if he lost, from a knock out or beating, his value would have been degraded or non existent. Now Nate can get a little more from Dana, for the cage match that everyone will want to see. Hats off to both fighters, including Jake Paul. This fight was a million times better than the Mayweather fight and both fighters can be proud of their efforts. Congratulations to all the people who trained up these two fighters and helped make this event . Thanks
I didnt see improvements. He fought a guy who fought at 155, is old, out of his prime, has little technical ability along with 0 power & he found himself on the retreat far to often.
Jake has improved for sure, I don't think he has improved enough to win a Tommy Fury 2 fight though. And depending on how Tommy fights in the KSI fight, will depend on how close or bad that defeat could be.
Jake lose in a split decision some boxers like Shawn Porter had Jake winning. The Tommy vs ksi would be an exhibition match not a real one so you might see some elbows maybe a tagteam match going on.
@@iwillrateyou9375 let's just be accurate here it was only a split decision because one judge the American judge gave it to Jake. Jake at most won 1 or 2 rounds. The second sentence is just bizarre, in an exhibition match you can't elbow and it would have to be announced as a tag team match to be one.
Nate did well, i think in his actual weightclass he would be more than a decent boxer. Jake leveled up his volume, but he could've won way more decent, he often doesn't find his range, because he doesn't use his jab. The overall fightcard was insane, every fight was nonestop action and pretty good matchups, so far my favorite card of the year.
First time Jake got decent pressure (like what a KSI would do) and couldnt take a guy fully out to win. Nate cant punch, if KSI landed those same punches itd be over for Jake.
Nate hurt his knee and shoulder in camp. He couldn’t throw proper jabs because of the shoulder injury that’s why he just double high guarded his way inside and relied on short hooks and uppercuts instead of using jab and cross so often like he does in MMA. He and his coach said it in post fight interview
Jake was horrendous. If Nate had any power in his combinations, he’d have sparked Jake. Embarrassing fight on the whole. Before you call me a KSI fan….KSI is worse than Jake 😂😂
This just shows that Ksi vs Jake is way closer or even favoring Ksi , that forward pressure and great cardio and making it a fight not a boxing match really showed the game plan to beat jake. Nate was Ksi without power I think if Nate had some more pop like Ksi this fight doesn’t see the final bell.
Just stop. KSI is terrible and nowhere near Jake’s level. Tommy will make him look stupid when they fight. Nate’s style, or lack there of, was why Jake didn’t look as good. When your opponent is all over the place, you just have to improvise and it’s completely different than fighting someone who actually has some kind of boxing training. KSI will get KOd by Jake and he knows it, that’s why he won’t take the fight.
Nate said sorry to his coach in the corner on the last round because he wasn't listening to his instructions Nate was just doing what he wanted during the fight there wasn't much of a gameplan.
Ngl I think the mma fight would be closer then u think, he was a really good wrestler and on top of that he has bo nickal with him, one of the top guys rn
Diaz is a warrior but he was throwing arm punches the whole time, the same mistake a lot of ufc turned boxers make. You’re never going to knock out your opponent if you’re not turning into your shots.
I was like “where tf is wade” last night lookin for ur live stream but couldn’t find it. I guess if u were there that makes sense! U doing it wade! Keep going!
nates antics in the later rounds, im convinced he has very tired, more tired than letting on, hed often turn his back, he was gassed but he has a big engine that just keeps on starting up again
For all the people saying Jake looked the same or didn't get quite better is just blinded by the hate they have for Paul. The footwork, jab, inside work, lateral movement, combinations, Iq, & cardio have gotten better. Yeah his cardio needs work but he did overdo himself in the first so take that as you will.
he’s experimenting going 10 rounds, that shit crazy to me considering he only been training 1/4 times any “legit” boxers his age been training for. I think Jake’s power and speed is better if he cut down to 175-178 and competing in lightheavyweight
The only thing jake looked better at was punch output and stamina, I respect him doing 10 rounds but mate his lateral movement was poor, he telegraphs punches a crazy amount, he steps heel toe with uneven weight, lacks any head movement or any defense whatsoever really. I mean bro how are u saying his inside game was good nate had the most success peppering jake on the inside, he's fighting a southpaw and sticks his foot on the inside and doesn't use his shoulders, I mean that's just terrible ring iq. He can't parry, slip or roll punches, just duck down which is very easy to counter with an uppercut and his footwork was flashy but still poor, especially that pendulum. Maybe his jab is a bit better but man pull ur hand back to ur face and keep ur chin down. I was honestly expecting and even hoping for a lot more even tho I'm not a fan of jake, I'm not a hater either. He lacks basic fundamentals for someone who has been boxing this long
Jake will never get the credit he deserves for beating Nate. Jakes cardio and footwork is much better. His defense still needs work but it was nice to see him working his jab and uppercut. That left hook looked good too but I expected as much against a south paw. Make no mistake Nate is a DAWG and has a concrete chin so the fact Jake wobbled him and put him on the mat is huge. Many in MMA couldn’t do it.
Nate only boxed for a long time before mma. he regularly spars with world champions. he almost out struck Jake while being 38yrs old and in a clear physical decline. youre such a casual. stop talking about things you know nothing about.
sleeps? idk his power and style is questionable swarms pineda and temper yes idk about fournier experience means something in these fights as jake constantly shows against relatively new boxers.
It was crazy to see Nate make it passed the first round after he almost got ko’d right away, then as the fight went on he really seemed to become immune to any damage and managed to rock Jake a few times and I think would’ve even knocked him down if he had an extra 10 seconds to what I believe was the 8 or 9th round?
He does not take punches well. Even partial shots he stresses out and clinches, and he holds on for dear life. It’s was not close on the cards. But Jake didn’t take away Nate’s fighting spirit like he thought he would.
He completely took away Nate's fighting spirit. Nate just started playing games and by round 10 he could barely stand up, literally. Right at the end he essentially gave up.
@@tac6044 I disagree. He was taking everything Jake had. And was telling him to keep it coming. That is not a defeated man. Jake couldn’t even stop whack ass Nate pillar defense. Nate cannot box at all. And never had a boxing match. He walked straight in. Nate has never fought for this long. 10 three minute rounds is longer than 5 five minute rounds and Jake couldn’t capitalize on this. It was like Jake was hella serious when Nate was just playing. For a fighter that so frustrating. Whenever that happened to me I would feel like I lost. If Nate’s spirit was gone he wouldn’t have been taunting. He wouldn’t have been playing to the crowd. Nate didn’t give up he fought the fight the same in the 10th as he did in the first. When someone gives up they fight different. Nate stayed the same the whole fight: WHACK lol
@@tac6044 and also no one is talking about how Jake was hella clinching anytime he got touched by Nate’s whack ass punches. He was holding on for dear life. Jake is the harder puncher but Nate wasn’t holding like Jake was.
I love you Wade... but it really seems like you are trying as hard as you can to give Jake more credit than he is due. That was Jake's best performance. He looked good at some points. But he fought someone who had zero boxing skill. The fact that Diaz bothered him at all in that fight is a moral loss for Paul imo.
Jake absolutely performed on this night. He outboxed and beat Nate the whole fight. When Nate started to pour it on, as we’ve seen him do many times, and take over a fight Jake answered with a big punch in stop the onslaught. He absolutely impressed me. His cardio was there. He was utilizing more punches. He was faster more crispy was hitting hard it’s time to stop doubting this guy and I’ll be the first to say it I’ve been saying he’ll never be a world champion and he’ll never get there. Do you know what who are we to say that it’s never going to happen at this rate with his improvements who knows I’m not doubting him any longer. I’m thoroughly impressed by what he’s done with seven fights or whatever it is and he’s being Nate Diaz it’s crazy.
This fight was a strange one, from the end of round 1 it was pretty obviously how this was going to go, but even so it kept me eyes glued and engaged and did deliver quite well. It was deffo an entertaining fight for sure. I think it was easy for Jake to look like a good boxer in there because Nate did not look like a good boxer, a hell of a scrapper for sure but yeah was easy for Jake to look great, but he is very good for his level tho so props to Jake
I didnt see Jake improve much at all. His power looks worse by the fight. He sucks going backwards. Clinch work remains weak. If Nate had ANY power he wouldve been in serious trouble.
I found it impressive that jake was able to go 10 rounds and be some what affective in the later rounds but Nate was something else if this was 12 rounds jake might have won a split decision or get finished

And forced to either quit or collapse! Nate is a scary man and probably the last person you would ever want to find yourself 1 on 1 in a street fight with 🤦🏼♂️
Honestly nate looked his best in 8 and 9 and tye end of round 10 I was thinking if it was 5 more rounds Jake woukd have still won but nat definitely eoukd have started tearing him down
Waj
I think Jake output his final energy in 10. I'd have liked to see 12 rounds.
Nate looked so sloppy and jake couldn't even ko him😭 that fight should not have went the distance. Jake looked almost the same even worse than he did against tommy. This guy should not even mention canelos name
Nobody who nate faced could have. So I really don't know what your talking about 💀
No one has ever stopped him even with mma gloves
Casual
Nate's never been knocked out ever.
Man I'm a casual and even I know Nate is famous for never going down. KSI dick riders are actually delusional
Wade working his dream job and at more and more combat sports events since leaving misfits.
Blessed.
Wade the type of guy to turn on the camera then run back to the door to pretend he just came in, jokes aside well done tonight 👏👏 have fun on kingpyn wade
Wade is the only person I know who thanks his subscribers EVERY SINGLE TIME for what he is accomplishing in his career
holy shit happy for u wade, ur success is well deserved, keep up the amazing work
bro we need the "Ariel & wade show" or "Wade and the bad guy" , or both some has to happen !! join the MMA, Boxing and influencer community all together
I don’t care Nate won by Guillotine 😂
Absolutely love these breakdowns and every coverage Wade does. Big ups 🎉
PS - I thought I was going blind during the video but then realised that it was just his camera out of focus the entire time.
I thought it was Jake's best performance. Almost zero clinching. He had a game plan and executed it. He definitely looked like a boxer with his foot work, and combinations. Nate was nate. Human tank. Crazy
They was hugging constantly brother 😭
Bro there's no way you watched the fight.... There was hugging the whole time and the ref was constantly telling Jake to stop holding... Did you watch the same thing lol? Go back and rewatch and listen.
@antoniokehoe2363
Lol.
Jake was hanging on for his life in the last 2 haha stop it
Wade... I've watched many of your UFC and boxing live streams your humor and professionalism is outstanding I love your content, Id like to say as I'm listening to Nate Diaz live stream of the undercard I couldn't help asking myself over and over who is the voice I'm hearing and it hit me yo that's WADE!!!!!
I was actually happy I had to find a different streamer for the event as you went from calling it on stream to calling it itself and live, much respect you deserve it and I'm glad you're getting respect and acknowledgement from such legends !
Next time come over to The Breakdown! If Wade is commenting IRL, Sensei normally covers the live streams! Last night we had Sensei and Ben “The Bane” Davis. It was his first stream with us but he knows his ish! youtube.com/@thebreakdownSW
@@nicole81392 I'm looking it up to Sub now, appreciate that good looking out for a fellow fan, salute
Nah you’ve completely earned all of this though, don’t even thank us, of course I know you will but you owe us nothing you’re the best in this niche of content and even a better commentator than all the pros you sit next to 😂 keep smashing it
Great job WADE. One of the best in job 👍
Just check the camera focus next time.
.
Anyway, keep it up.
the general consensus is that ksi now beats jake funny how quickly it changed and no doubt it changes again after ksi vs fury
That performance from Jake wasn’t impressive when you compare it to the Anderson or Tommy fight. Jake struggled with pressure from Nate who didn’t do much & wasn’t taking this seriously. That is How Nate is. KSI’s main strength is pressure.
Who tf thinks ksi would beat jake? KSI doesn’t stand a chance against jake.
@@davidbiagi2932ok jake
anyone who thinks that needs help. I dont even know why everyone puts ksi on such a high pedestal when he hasn’t shown anything in the ring 🤦♂️
I love how much wade enjoyed this lol like he truely appreciates it.
I was really impressed by Amanda she never disappoints
Wade is such a humble guy
Thanks
Nate took 10 rounds of heavy headshots. CTE is a legit concern for him in this was not good for his health.
@tac6044 I think he's clearly already got CTE, this didn't do anything but make it worse. I'm sad he took this fight too.
Tommy will absolutely embarass and annihilate KSI. That fight has no bearing on Jake vs Fury 2.
this fight for me showed Decent improvment for jake and showed me Nate Diaz still has some left in the tank to give us entertaining fights
And the fact he didn’t even take that seriously was crazy.
He`s got no defense and his punch mechanics are awful.
video so blurry made me think i needed glasses
First black person to comment 🏆
Being there, I can indeed confirm, the crowd was definitely a Díaz crowd. Insane energy when he walked out! Coming from a Jake fan!
I don’t understand the “this proves ksi will win” argument. Unless ksi is insane against Tommy, I still got Jake no doubt
First time Jake got decent pressure (like what a KSI would do) and couldnt take a guy fully out to win. Nate cant punch, if KSI landed those same punches itd be over for Jake.
@@liammacaraya doesnt need to be a God to beat the version of Jake Paul that was shown last night🤷🏾♂️
@@justaviewer9193same things could be said about KSI
For me I see it as KSI would’ve knocked out Nate Diaz
@@justaviewer9193Ksi can’t handle pressure as well tho 😂😂
Wade on top been a while following my boy wade
Nate hurt his knee and shoulder in camp. He couldn’t throw proper jabs because of the shoulder injury that’s why he just double high guarded his way inside and relied on short hooks and uppercuts instead of using jab and cross so often like he does in MMA. He and his coach said it in post fight interview
So that is the excuse haha
When jake says that after a loss he gets clowned lol these nate fans are sick right now
@@miami444there’s a hard line between Nate’s transparency and Jake’s “excuses”
He put him on his facee lookin stupid and won 7-8 rounds. Needs better defense tho
@@miami444lmao Nate went 10 rounds just playing around with Jake. 😂😂
Well done to Wade! Congratulations from Australia
Jake was horrendous. If Nate had any power in his combinations, he’d have sparked Jake. Embarrassing fight on the whole.
Before you call me a KSI fan….KSI is worse than Jake 😂😂
All these people thinking Jake would ko are casuals of combat sports. Nate has probably the best chin in the ufc/combat sports
Diaz fought like he got paid off to throw the fight.
I watched over 4 podcast of Nate promoting this fight I saw a few vlogs from Nate,s channel. So he did promote it ❤
This just shows that Ksi vs Jake is way closer or even favoring Ksi , that forward pressure and great cardio and making it a fight not a boxing match really showed the game plan to beat jake. Nate was Ksi without power I think if Nate had some more pop like Ksi this fight doesn’t see the final bell.
🙄🙄ksi has fought nothing but buns and you think that fight favors Ksi
Congrats Wade. You earned it brother. Love your story
Big W for you Wade, great stuff 🔥
Love to see you succeed my man’s but we need you out here breaking these down
Jake couldn't even cut the guy who gets cut by the wind. All this fight did was further validate the ppl who say he sucks.
Been watching for a long time. Really proud of you Wade. Never forget why we rock with you, you real. Stay real
My friend
I felt like I needed to put on some glasses for the whole video 😂
That big fight feel follows Nate around. He's a straight up star
Nate said sorry to his coach in the corner on the last round because he wasn't listening to his instructions Nate was just doing what he wanted during the fight there wasn't much of a gameplan.
Great Video! Was going complain to the optometrist as i thought my new glasses were poor. lol You have done well mate and keep up the good work!
Jake schooled nate till round 6 nate just had some good punches in the clinch
No way jake bullied someone who at most fought at 170lbs in a different sport and is nearly 40 past his prime...
No way that's crazy.
When you watch a 18Min unfocused video because you support WADE ‼️
Nate diaz was never gonna win this tbh
Ngl I think the mma fight would be closer then u think, he was a really good wrestler and on top of that he has bo nickal with him, one of the top guys rn
If Jake comes out like that in round 1 like he did against Nate he’ll put out KSI in 1 round. KSI isn’t durable. Jake smokes him.
True, but if Ksi puts decent pressure on jake like nate did, I can see jake getting knocked out, he seemed pretty scared of nate when he pressured
I’m so happy your doing good man because when Mams and all that drama happened ik they were hoping for your downfall
Exactly what everyone knew whas goin to happen thats why nobody "paid" for the PPV
We definitely saw more of Jake’s fighter side than his boxing side come out in this fight, he had to dog it out with Nate
Diaz is a warrior but he was throwing arm punches the whole time, the same mistake a lot of ufc turned boxers make. You’re never going to knock out your opponent if you’re not turning into your shots.
I thought he was setting him up and was going to start throwing harder shot up the middle, but it never happened.
I absolutely love your opinions on fights
We’re So proud of you Wade Been here since 13k sub 🎉🙏
I was like “where tf is wade” last night lookin for ur live stream but couldn’t find it. I guess if u were there that makes sense! U doing it wade! Keep going!
Pretty sure he was one of the commentators!
There was a live stream with Faze Sensei on the breakdown channel for this
Nate didn’t lose he just ran out of time and congratulations wade commenting a Nate Diaz fight is legendary
nates antics in the later rounds, im convinced he has very tired, more tired than letting on, hed often turn his back, he was gassed but he has a big engine that just keeps on starting up again
Wasn't holding as much till the final rounds. That was one of biggest things I noticed. He's definitely improving
he’s experimenting going 10 rounds, that shit crazy to me considering he only been training 1/4 times any “legit” boxers his age been training for. I think Jake’s power and speed is better if he cut down to 175-178 and competing in lightheavyweight
W take, he finally stopped relying on the overhand right and started using more variety shots which is smth I’ve wanted to see from him for years
The only thing jake looked better at was punch output and stamina, I respect him doing 10 rounds but mate his lateral movement was poor, he telegraphs punches a crazy amount, he steps heel toe with uneven weight, lacks any head movement or any defense whatsoever really. He lacks basic fundamentals for someone who has been boxing this long
His offence looked great, but his defence and honestly his fight IQ at times wasn't looking great
Jake will never get the credit he deserves for beating Nate.
THE REAL REASON: Jakes had more than 5 minutes of boxing experience
Nate only boxed for a long time before mma. he regularly spars with world champions. he almost out struck Jake while being 38yrs old and in a clear physical decline. youre such a casual. stop talking about things you know nothing about.
@@NidokingOtsutsukiWOAH you clearly aren’t a causal such as me, I apologize for ever speaking oh wise one
@@NidokingOtsutsuki Nate Diaz does not have boxing experience based on his performance last night... Fighting and boxing are two different things.
@@NidokingOtsutsukiyou must be such the boxing expert with your Pokémon profile pic and video game posts
You have to wonder how michael cole does 70k+ roaring at his back and keeps his cool. Colour commentary is hard and underated.
Jake still beats ksi
People seem to forget level of opposition is a thing in boxing. Nate Diaz sleeps, swarmz, Pineda, tempr, and Fournier.
Ofc
sleeps? idk his power and style is questionable swarms pineda and temper yes idk about fournier experience means something in these fights as jake constantly shows against relatively new boxers.
Almost got tko’d??? Lmao ok
Love this vid! well deserved and earned. Keep grounded bro
Jake is the harder puncher but Nate wasn’t holding like Jake was.
crazy how the fight switched halfway, nate never loses a fight he just runs out of time
I love you Wade... but it really seems like you are trying as hard as you can to give Jake more credit than he is due. That was Jake's best performance. He looked good at some points. But he fought someone who had zero boxing skill. The fact that Diaz bothered him at all in that fight is a moral loss for Paul imo.
Unfocused wade cam is my favorite wade, takes me back to 2012
Jake absolutely performed on this night.
I said for months now. No one is knocking Nate out. It’s not possible. Dudes a brick wall.
This fight was a strange one, from the end of round 1 it was pretty obviously how this was going to go, but even so it kept me eyes glued and engaged and did deliver quite well. It was deffo an entertaining fight for sure. I think it was easy for Jake to look like a good boxer in there because Nate did not look like a good boxer, a hell of a scrapper for sure but yeah was easy for Jake to look great, but he is very good for his level tho so props to Jake
nate looked good, skill wise. i dont know what you were watching.
Jakes been so calm in fights against mma fighters but against tommy he shit himself it was clear to see
I didnt see Jake improve much at all. His power looks worse by the fight. He sucks going backwards. Clinch work remains weak. If Nate had ANY power he wouldve been in serious trouble.
Wade's camera focus is about as good as Nate Diaz's boxing technique
Nate fought for fun, Jake was fighting for his life😂
Never thought wade would be so big when I first started watching
I found it impressive that jake was able to go 10 rounds and be some what affective in the later rounds but Nate was something else if this was 12 rounds jake might have won a split decision or get finished
It was 8 round fight first they both agreed for 10 round fight.
nate was close to dropping him a couple times. i really do think he could have finished jake in a 12 round fight, assuming hed really go for it.
@@NidokingOtsutsukiJake wasn’t hurt one time in that fight Nate doesn’t have that kind of power he was just there to survive
